  • Once again I turned on the camera and did a service call. I like doing this because it's not the "Picture Perfect" classroom instructional video but a live unrehearsed lesson of how it is in the real world when things unexpectedly go wrong and we have to deal with it to get the job done.
In this vedio I try to remember how to burn a chip but some glitches with the Wondows 7 machine make it a bit challenging.

I've been working in a different area where there's no many interesting fire alarm systems to do video's on but lately with this pandemic going on and things being slow, I have offered my services in the areas I used to work and was able to find (this) something interesting. Thanks for watching!

Did you have to burn another chip to reconfig or can that panel use a port? Can reburning chips also be used on the 2120?

Just the eprom, the exec chip stays the same unless you are upgrading the system rev. That generation did not have port for downloading/uploading. Later models utilized a port and would burn a flash chip.

I just got one of these panels from a recent job. Still trying to get it programmed. 😅
