I appreciate how you explain your steps & reasoning, including airbrush settings and the purpose behind each component of your "sauce"! Great for helping others to learn-- thank you!
This was a brilliant video because it explained to me what I was doing wrong with my glow effects! I'll have to score me some of the Mecha Color fluo paints and see what I can do with them, as per the ideas in this video. Thank you, Don!
Oh I see. Actually I see painters, even expert painters doing the "glow effect" a bit wrong. I mean, if you use the fluo as a wash, you kinda reverse the look and you do not end up with a "glow effect". Glad the video was clear bro. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
The afterglow joke is severely underrated. Thank you for this precise and concise tutorial. I am experimenting with fluo paints at the moment and this helps a lot! You earned yourself a new sub.
@@DonSuratos dude you always are super clear and easy to understand I wish I spoke another language as well as you spoke English! But yeah also I think that kind of one line summary is a really helpful way to teach. Love your channel dude it’s one of my favourite mini painting channels :)
Very interesting! The mecha flou paints glow under black light, but in normal light I like very much how you detailed the various steps to make the effect very convincing, in my opinion. Thanks for another informative video, bro!
Hello, this tutorial is awesome, the magenta details are so good. Just want to ask, do you have paint demos for Fluor Blue and how to do it? AB or hand paint? thanks.
@@DonSuratos Good! I was about to ask you because I just received three of them, blue, green and orange, and I'm about to test them. Thanks again! Subscribed and all bells clicked.
It is roughly 3 parts airbrush thinner ( or water ) and 1 part flow improver. You may adjust the amount of flow improver depending on your climate. Colder climate, less flow improver. ☺️
use flow improver........ shite i should have done that if i were to use citadel paints on airbrush oh, also i have a question : does your thinning sauce works with any brand of airbrush thinner?
i use gemstone paints its a cleaner look( for plasma and glass/windsheld/cockpit). everytime I see airbrush paint for plasma its too messy, breaks my immersion, looks like a messy paint job instead of glow effects.

You are most welcome Scott! Glad you liked the video style. I try my best to explain my thoughts everytime. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
The white gloss mix and wash after putting down the fluorescent paint was the secret sauce I think I was missing. Thank you

very clear explanation, this actually made glowing effects click in my brain in a way no other explanation online has
Oh thanks! I try to be as clear as I can. Thank you! 😊🎨🎨🎨
Awesome don!!! Beautiful job!!
The sum up at the end was really helpful dude, thanks very much. Informative and interesting
Oh glad my explanation was clear. English is not my native language and I am always afraid I do not explain my thoughts well. ☺️🎨🎨🎨

Super dope Im buying another void dragon I really like this eastetic. I think I want to do a Orange'ish flourescent
Orange fluo should look fiery! Similar to what Sergio Calvo did with his. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Hey Don, great work man and great tips as always!
Thank you as always Braam! ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Need to add flow improver to the white to get it to flow cleanly.
Could also use white oil wash in a reverse version of shading.
Agree. 😊
Nice one!
Necrons work so well with green/magenta fluo (or highlights^^).
Yes they do. The client actually requested this magenta look. Looks cool. But the standard green is good to. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Hi Don, it looks like it really lights up, spectacular!
Thank you Francesco! The method ( washes ) worked like a charm! ☺️🎨🎨🎨
I would say a lot 😉
Amazing info and I feel more confident in trying out some glow effects
Awesome! Nice to hear! Thank you for watching! 😊🎨🎨🎨
I really enjoyed this. Thanks man

Nice work bro, would uv black light paint work on marvel legends figures, preped and sealed? Thanks for any advice.
Yes... just make sure you seal with varnish after. 😊🎨🎨🎨

Welcome and thank you for watching. 😊🎨🎨🎨
what's the ratio of your thinning sauce? nice video as always. saludos!
It is roughly 3 parts airbrush thinner ( or water ) and 1 part flow improver. You may adjust the amount of flow improver depending on your climate. Colder climate, less flow improver. ☺️
what kind of airbrush is that, I didnt see a compressor hose, is it just spring loaded? i want one
Still Harder and Steenbeck. Grafo T1. 😊
@@DonSuratos thank you! Oh and which of your books coming out has the Death guard grimpop info/instructions? I would love to order a copy of it
Hi,What is the manufacturer of the airbrush used in this video?
Harder&Steenbeck Simon. Grafo T1. It is a fine arts detailing airbrush.

Thanks Don!
I always look forward to your videos.
use flow improver........ shite i should have done that if i were to use citadel paints on airbrush
oh, also i have a question : does your thinning sauce works with any brand of airbrush thinner?
Floww improver is key. Flow improver + Water works almost as good as with thinner.
@@DonSuratos which means there is a chance i gotta change the homemade lahmian medium recipe. And also make the other brand thinner sauce
Mecha flow green has been sold out for a year or more at my paint dealer 😞
Oh... they are grenner... less yellow green than the model colors. I also love there consistency. Perfect for brush painting without thinning. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
Just your friendly neighborhood casual dual wield ambidextrous paint beast!
Hahaha! Just a carry over from my younger basketball days bro. 😅
Thanks a lot
Welcome! ☺️🎨🎨🎨
is there a way to do this fluo pink with a brush ?
Yes... but very time consuming man. 😊
i use gemstone paints its a cleaner look( for plasma and glass/windsheld/cockpit). everytime I see airbrush paint for plasma its too messy, breaks my immersion, looks like a messy paint job instead of glow effects.
Hmmm... what are gemstone paints?
