looks like some people doesnt even make a little bit of a research of how a producting setup should be set up ... I mean ... look where that guy had his speakers -.-
ja hu yeah man. These rescue videos completely look like they're pre planned, which obviously they are. I mean c'mon a person who has quality monitors n a Jackson guitar(seemed like the marty Friedman model) wont even watch videos on RUclips on how to place his speakers n the thing that was really dumb is that if this guy was really in need of space he would've rearranged his bed a long time ago
Yeah, first thing that came to my mind is this must be set up. Regardless of budget nobody who takes music production seriously has that much lack of knowledge to be having that kind of setup
I'm curious for the rescued's response to the new setups. like "oh it's working great! I can hear lot's of low end now! This sounds so much freaking better! etc." rather than "I think you've been rescued" *shake hands*. No offence, it's just common sense in story telling, there should always be a result.
I wonder why Francis did not treat this room in the same way as some of the other rescues in his series. He only gave this guy one panel on the left, but what happened to the reflections on the right, on the door, and the corner bass traps too? What's Up with that???
Wow. I love you Francis. I love this show so much. God bless you so much for what you're doing in peoples live and putting smiles on their faces. I'm Fidelis and I'm in Namibia, a south west African country. How I wish you were here. Love you studio resque
I agree. I mean, they use the same kind of scheme for these videos, there is not too much thoughts put into them, but if you take these things aside, I think you can still use these videos as a source of guidelines to get your own homestudio going better. I certainly will move my stuff, I already bought some acoustic-foampanels and we'll see how it will turn out!
The whole purpose of Francis rescuing studios is to symmetrically balance the room so that it's efficient as a home recording studio while salvaging and even adding more space. The guy even said himself he has enough room for a chair for his workstation.
It's funny, the white box on the left of the screen before they do anything is the power supply for the rode ntk, their high end mic, and you give him their cheap mic.
The save the studio concept is awesome. I would watch that on tv. Would be nice to see different types of rooms and and tour pro studios. And Change the gifts lol. We all know what he is getting what he leaves lol.
I noticed the kid had hard wood floors. And in all the other rescues. There is supposed to be a pad on the ceiling. Also I noticed he did not triangulate the speaker with the tape measure after adjusting the speakers the 2nd time. With the bed so close to the chair with the speakers at that angle he would of had to of moved the speakers outward 3" + to make the triangle perfect to his ears. So that was conveniently left out. LOL I also wonder why he didn't put those pads to the left of the desk right up next to the window. He moved them farther away from the window instead. I think the kid got his room cleaned, and new microphone. I think he should of moved that bed completely against the back wall, and got some studio monitor stands. And more pads.
i know that this video isnt the best example but this guy is ridiculously good at making space where there is allmost none to be found and he is allso very good at organizing my guess is that he is educated in that field rather than in room accoustics. or both perhaps
i thought i would see some studio upgrades from scratch in these episodes, and maybe learn some stuff about studio gear, they could at least give away some mid priced monitors to some guys cuz most of them use low end monitors...
Seriously??? The host went to that guy's house just to take out the stools and put foam on the wall??? and the dude got a free mic and stand out of it??? That GREAT! I mean the host could have just Emailed the instructions to the guy but, hey... that's not important right?
A major problem here is the fact that his monitors port through the back, not the front. So He is going to get some sonic disruption unless he soundproofs behind his desk. Hell, I have speakers that port through the front and I have the space behind my monitors bass trapped
I realize these videos are quite old but can someone please explain to me WHY IS THERE NOTHING DECOUPLING THE MONITORS FROM THE SURFACE THEY SIT ON!!!! I mean come on thats like monitor placement basics. Come on rode you're better than that.
ParapetStudios yeah man if they can give a rode nt-2a to everyone for free, n all the treatment, couldn't they provide a couple of monitor standoffs?? Haha. Just promotion. Stupid promotion of mics n nothing else
What can you do to a room that isn't symmetrical? My studio has a closet that makes it un-rectangular. My room is shaped just like the state of Utah and my desk is against the wall that would boarder Colorado. What do I do there?
I enjoy these videos, but it’s funny reading some of the comments, ppl know so much🙄why not just say this is a good idea, it’s like a reality make over show for your studio, I just learned of this channel yesterday, and I love it😊we need to stop being so critical, it’s just another way of being jealous🤨haters!! This is a dope channel for ppl to learn, that’s what it’s about, so get outa here with the negative comments, and do something better if you can🙋🏾♂️
and what happened with the simetrical distance on the sides of the speakers? now the right speaker is reflecting into the shelves and the left one has a much longer distance to reflect on the wall
man i wish you guys come to my room and help me setting things up but unfortunately i live in italy =( i want to get the best out of my room but without help it seems impossible
of course, why else would a company spend a huge amount of money to produce a 12 Episode web series and give away microphones & acoustic foam, if it wouldn't have any advertising effect?
i have a similar room (mine is way bigger tho) so it's very cool to see how he rearranged it, and how we managed all this time, since we weren't too far off in our placements...
All these guys in these episodes (the ones I've seen) have their "studio" in a bedroom?? First of all its gotta smell a bit like DUDE. It should be called bedroom/some recording equipment rescue. I do like Francis though.. so I guess I watch.
LOL! Good luck with that. And for the record "dude" I have no "problem" with it.. There was a time when I would have had to do the same thing. I would still have laughed at my self over it. It's just funny to see. Relax Lisa.
A lot of people don't have the resources/sense so the bedroom is the most common area. Then if you watch enough of these videos, its more about product placement and advertising. Lol.
I feel like in every episode all he does is rearrange, set up speakers, and do the mirror test, lmao. then give a way a free mic. smh. this show could be a lot more interesting if they put more into it,
this guy Phil got ripped...ha. ebbybody body else got 2 wall foam crappers and 2 (bass) corner crappies. Phi got 1. He's now phi. He doesn't get a full name.
This man just loves to shake hands!
Slap-shake hands actually :-D
They are obviously adds for Rode Microphones but that definitely doesn't take away anything from how much he's helping out these home-producers.
Well, i want my studio rescued for the mic.
theres something cringe with this Francis but at the same time charming. I cant get enought watching. So funny
xD I like how he just walks into people's rooms like it's nothing... I know it's planned, it just comes across as REALLY awkward and weird :3
Yeah it does feel awkward and there is a hell of a lot of hand shaking going on. About five in this episode.
HA! although I did buy that mic.. I presented it to myself after rescuing my bottle of scotch. It is a great mic for the price.
looks like some people doesnt even make a little bit of a research of how a producting setup should be set up ... I mean ... look where that guy had his speakers -.-

Yeah, first thing that came to my mind is this must be set up. Regardless of budget nobody who takes music production seriously has that much lack of knowledge to be having that kind of setup
Hahahahaha
His speakers are too big for the room size. Francis never says anything about speaker size.
This is the longest commercial I’ve ever seen ! Cool mic!
He never seems to add any treatments to the rear of the monitors. Made a big difference to my sound. :o)
still there are so many other more important places and he probably doesnt have a truckload of these panels to give out
I'm curious for the rescued's response to the new setups. like "oh it's working great! I can hear lot's of low end now! This sounds so much freaking better! etc." rather than "I think you've been rescued" *shake hands*. No offence, it's just common sense in story telling, there should always be a result.

Love you studio resque
"Let's rescue Phill's bedroom !" :)))
Wow Francis! I love one of those Rode condenser Microphone and the Acoustic panels soooo much I wish to get one too they the best mics
Francis did an amazing job on this room !!
can u make more studio rescue episodes these are awesome
The whole purpose of Francis rescuing studios is to symmetrically balance the room so that it's efficient as a home recording studio while salvaging and even adding more space. The guy even said himself he has enough room for a chair for his workstation.
these are great.
should have put some of that foam on the door and ceiling as well and some bass traps in the back corners.. will really help
so far, the 4 or 5 episodes of this i have watched, are all "let's center your shit, give you some acoustic panels, and a mic. later bro."
Thats a SUPER cool shirt Francis!
i have that exact same desk. pretty cool

It seems like they're more about educating the dudes and having them learn hands on rather than just "Surprise we pimped your janky room!"
Well, I've watched the first 4 episodes. I wonder what they'll do to rescue THIS one! Ergghhhh! The suspense is killing me! :P
i know that this video isnt the best example but this guy is ridiculously good at making space where there is allmost none to be found and he is allso very good at organizing
my guess is that he is educated in that field rather than in room accoustics. or both perhaps
The best part is when he pops up like a mole out of a hole and says bah!!! @ 1:58
i thought i would see some studio upgrades from scratch in these episodes, and maybe learn some stuff about studio gear, they could at least give away some mid priced monitors to some guys cuz most of them use low end monitors...

@@HimanshuSharma-vt8ke And he already has a Rode Tube Mic.
PIMP MY HOMESTUDIO :)
BELLISSIMO!!

they shake hands about 10 times each episode
I wish this episode showed the kid rocking out on the Jackson Kelly.
survivor030406 where do you find that curved acoustic foam for mic.... I need it..... I need it cheap!
Plz help
and what happened with the simetrical distance on the sides of the speakers? now the right speaker is reflecting into the shelves and the left one has a much longer distance to reflect on the wall
lol this is the "Re-Arrange Your Monitors" show
with a bit of common sense he could have done this himself...
wow he is polite , i would of said "get a new room" or "ok its time to start chucking stuff out, you can sleep on floor from now on for a start"
surely by the end of the first few people know theyre getting the microphone hahahaha
Great SAeries. Thanks! Do you have anyone n London that can help me? Have a great day!
yes i dont understand this, too. and whats with base traps?
Drinking game. Drink a shot every time they shake hands!
I was just about to say something about the hand shaking but more people noticed :)
He sure did act surprised when he gave him the microphone.
If im honest, these studio rescue video's seem to just be adverts for the Rode Nt2a's.
course they are but i wouldnt say no to a free one!
haha funny episode :)
yeah, they're definitely ads but they're waay more entertaining than your regular ad, so I guess it's ok
Not to mention to thousands of people they're helping to re-adjust their rooms to produce better recordings.
It sure is :)
where do i get my studio rescued?
man i wish you guys come to my room and help me setting things up but unfortunately i live in italy =( i want to get the best out of my room but without help it seems impossible
Jack White took his bed out and slept on a sleeping bag with his head in his bass drum. Just depends on how serious one is...
That mic has great value for money.
I need to rescue for need that microphone
I'd be like, a RODE? Srsly? Fuck that, take it back. If you want to give me another u87....
wots the point of putting the foam close to the place it should instead of the place it should be????????????
Why is he not getting bass traps?
of course, why else would a company spend a huge amount of money to produce a 12 Episode web series and give away microphones & acoustic foam, if it wouldn't have any advertising effect?
I want u come here
how do you think they pay for the guy to redo the studio?
LOL STOOLS FOR SPEAKER STANDS XD
@Miroslawsnketr Why not?
Where can i buy the panels that are on the walls?
hey, come on, go tell bruce swedien that rodes ain't any good... he'll laugh at you! cool show, cool ppl, nice work and nice present
Why are you wearing the same shirt since the first episode?
Is that an NTK power supply he has there?
And then acts surprise about the new mic but they new they would get it
i have a similar room (mine is way bigger tho) so it's very cool to see how he rearranged it, and how we managed all this time, since we weren't too far off in our placements...
so u don't have the same room?
cuz the speakers and pads need to be lined up perfectly..i think? haha
I NEED UR HELP IN PORTLAND OREGON COME PLEASE
All these guys in these episodes (the ones I've seen) have their "studio" in a bedroom?? First of all its gotta smell a bit like DUDE. It should be called bedroom/some recording equipment rescue. I do like Francis though.. so I guess I watch.

Yes indeed. One could also use the free RODE mic to record bedroom happenings and special events. Pad the mic in my bedroom. Hahahahaha.
12-Step Stewart Copeland
can i be on studio rescue
Hey, what happened to this show?
Most of these guys are completely missing the basics. With some researching and common sense you can do this yourself.
WHat a fucking joke. Hey Phil, enjoy your speakers resonating through your desk.
Why are there so many back seat drivers? If the studio hobbyists didn't need help, we wouldn't have this show.
I feel like in every episode all he does is rearrange, set up speakers, and do the mirror test, lmao. then give a way a free mic. smh. this show could be a lot more interesting if they put more into it,
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.
this is a proper home studio cramped and a bit crappy.
He had a door on the right. This guy biggest problem is all the stuff that he had on bedroom.
Someone get him a job in IKEA !
In that case, they could use my room to "advertise" any day.
already had a Rodes NTK then he gets a lower cost one
He can come to my house and take out my trash and leave me a mic/vocal booth too...
this guy Phil got ripped...ha. ebbybody body else got 2 wall foam crappers and 2 (bass) corner crappies. Phi got 1. He's now phi. He doesn't get a full name.
this IS the rodemicrophones channel...
All they need is someone to clean up their room.
lol, i sit on the couch w/ headphones and use fl on my laptop
I need some help
When you let someone move your stuff, just for a free mic !
look at the channel name ;P
Gee, you just figured this out? lol
I wonder where he’s going 🤑
Don't touch the speakers dude that's his job!!!
