We appreciate your business!
Have had the white dial variant since August, absolutely love it. Only lose 2/3 sec a day, and it’s a great summer piece imo. Perfect for the beach or boat. I think Hamilton knocked this one out of the park. Would be perfect with a diver’s extension though.
I'm not a diver but love dive watches. This one ticks all the boxes!
Thanks for sharing!
I had the previous version of this and sold it for just the reasons Teddy referenced. Might have to think hard about getting this new-and-improved version!
I just got mine, in black with bracelet. I love it. Thanks for the reviews Teddy!
Just bought mine yesterday. This is a solid watch, fit and finish is excellent. Looks perfect on my 7 and a half inch wrist. I looked at the Tissot 2000 as well but it's bigger and thicker and looks too big on my wrist. Glad I bought this beauty. It runs 3 secs fast a day.
Had mine a couple of months and it's runs about the same on wrist and dead on in the box!!!
I have the same watch, same colour. It runs 45 seconds fast - every six months. I only reset it when it’s time to change the clocks (DST)
I purchased the cream faced version, I love the watch, at $1000 I really think it is an exceptional buy. The face that is matte granulated (cream or the blue) looks very classy. I find the watch to be very versatile, casual wear or slightly dressed up better than standard field watch. The ONLY complaint is the lacking of a micro adjustment only for comfort. As far as diver itself, I love dive watches however, I am not taking an Omega, Breitling, Tudor diving, matter of fact I wouldn't take the Hamilton or a Tissot for that matter ......Casio Gshock and if it breaks Ill buy another :)
I bought the 43 mm version and my son 40 mm version.both of us Love them as it looks good for daily use
just tried this watch on yesterday and video today, thanks. I choose between him and Certina
Bought mine in September and as my first watch, I feel like I’ve made a decent choice
43 mm is perfect for me, tried the Hydroconquest 2 x expensive, but i prefer the Hamilton well finished and so beautiful.
I have the white one. It makes me feel good every time I look at it. I'm lucky to like watches I can afford 😁
I own this watch and clearly in love with it.movement is spectacular just as cons the bracelet could be better and indices could be bigger and finally micro adjustment is not enough
Bought the white face dial variation on a cruise last week. Love it!
It would be tough for me to choose this over the mido oceanstar I think but it is cool!
looks great with the white face, would be nice to see different colours/straps in the review.
THREE HUNDRED METER WR?! Hamilton, ya did it!!! Shopping for mine now!!
Ceramic bezel and anti-reflective sapphire, too.
Can you make a video on the certina ds super ph500m? Such a fantastic dive watch with a cool story for under 1k.
I bought O’Neil in black colour as it is on sale . Very comfortable and good looking
Upgraded to.close the hole on the dial, very nice.
Thank you Mr. Baldassare😃
Have one and love it!
I hope they also update the 40mm versions of this watch to the same spec (no-date dial, ceramic insert etc.). The 43mm is way too big for me unfortunately.
Had that watch. Very rugged and capable divers watch. All necessary features and a bargain for what it is in this price range.
Buying one for my Father this year. He needs to up his collection and have at least one diver watch.
Well done Hamilton
I love this watch had it for a month now
yeah I have a question....does it have a second stop when you pull the crown out?
Excelente video Teddy. 👏👏🤩🤩⌚️⌚️⌚️⌚️
I would love to see Hamilton make a GMT watch based off this style. Simalur to the Mido OCEAN STAR GMT
Too bad it's too big for my twig wrist. I really like the color and would have bought it. What other "smaller" options at similar price range and style is there ??? Thank yoy
Ouch that number font on the bezel ruins it for me. Tough to be a designer
I'm actually looking for a beater around $1000 and hamilton seems to be on my mind but it's hard to decide. I want something sporty and not too simple. I don't think I'll be doing any diving but it's hard to find a daily beater for around $1000
I love this watch and I was so torn between this and a seiko turtle. I put the white face hamilton navy on at least 10 times but ultimately decided to go with the seiko.
Did you go King turtle or standard?
@@Nick-os6ex manta ray dark, I beleive thats a standard turtle? Either way I love it and I've added a jubilee style bracelet that tops it off quite nicely
@@popomomo12 those are king turtles.
@@donquique1 thank you very much! That's good to know. I am very happy with it
@@popomomo12 Hello friend.
Thats funny, but we have same watch. King turtle dark manta ray and thes Hamiltons are coming to me soon.
Greetings from Siberia😊
Nice and useful video review!
Wich color do you suggest for general purpose? Blue or black?
I think most would lean into the blue dial but really either would work well in almost any situation.
How would you compare this watch to either C60 Trident Pro 300 or C63 Sealander GMT
There are so many great options for 43mm, if you don't want such a big watch, things are very different, sadly.
With both this Hamilton, and the Certina Action Diver, the smaller models make some serious compromises compared to the big ones.
This one or Mido Ocean Star 600 ,which one to buy 🧐🤔
Is the quarts model a better value? The Tissot PRX always seems to have people point to the quarts as a better value, why not this Scuba too?
Many thanks for the review
If Hamilton used a quartz movement within a smaller diameter thinner case - the products would fly off the shelf.
It would be great if they produced green and blue designs to match most clothing. The 2 watch collection !
They already make exactly what you are describing. They make this exact model in 37 mm with a blue ceramic bezel/white dial in quartz. Have one as a daily is the build quality is solid!
@@superfast30the quartz version has a ceramic bezel insert?
@@scotts5055 yes! Blue ceramic bezel and a white dial!
They have other sizes… I have the 37 mm skinny wrist. Thinner too, good starter dive style watch for me
This is a nice watch from Hamilton
The 39 fits better cause I have a smaller wrist I was gonna get this but I don’t dive can’t even swim so ideally for me the 39 is better
Omg I want this watch so so bad I really tried considering all other options at the same price rage like Mido but this one just does it for me I can’t help it.
2:46 Is of just me or rotating that bazel seems difficult and uncomfortable. Strange he didn't mention anything about it.
Hi Teddy, How big is your wrist?
Love it, but too large. Will wait for a 40mm or 41mm.
I like it!
The finish is incredible for the money. 👌🏽
This vs a tissot seastar?
Nice that they make watches for adults.
Why does it have to be so big? I have smaller watches with just as much water resistance
I have the conventional Khaki Navy Scuba and while the tapered bracelet, higher water resistance rating, removal of date window, and lume pip on this newer variant are welcome upgrades, I wish they would've retained some features of the conventional model as well as make a few other improvements:
1. Offer a 40mm option (like the conventional model) as well as 43mm.
2. I wish they would've retained the rectangular indices instead of changing to round ones. It's a bit more distinctive. And I just like it more with the trapezoid 12, 3, 6, and 9 indices.
3. Lose the 24hr markers. They just scream field watch. I realize Hamilton wants to recognize their history of making military watches but on a dive watch dial, it looks out of place. Plus, I generally don't like 24hr numerals if you don't also have 12hr numerals.
3. More micro adjust slots are always welcome.
4. Drop "Khaki" from the name. Heck, drop "Scuba" as well. Just call it the Hamilton Navy. Concise and refined.
Make those changes I listed and I think they'll have the best value dive watch on the market.
I would agree to drop the 'Khaki' from the dial as it is too field watch oriented and instead, I would like to see the 300m WR on the dial. The old one I considered a desk diver because of the 100m WR, it would be nice to see that highlighted on the dial.
@@alangil40 Agreed👍
I’d wear that. Maybe compare and contrast to a Seastar.
love some of Tissot's offerings, but I can't get past the "T" counterweight on the seconds hand :/
@@notsimplybrent Indeed, there is no perfect watch.
@@z06cowboy72 I don't feel like Tissot has any dive watch heritage. At least Hamilton has some decent dive watch history albeit from the Frogman. Though the Seastar 1000 does have an exhibition case back (I always like to see the mechanism), on the fly bracelet extension and something I like to see on a diver watch dial, the 300m WR text. The Seastar just feels more like a desk diver to me, though in reality I doubt anyone is diving with this Hamilton either and it also a bit more of a desk diver compared to say a Seiko or Citizen NY0040.
Would've expected a sliding clasp. Knowing some other swatch brands use it already
I'm looking at buying my first Swiss made diver watch for every day use around the $1000 price point. I've had my eyes on the Tissot Seastar 1000 powermatic 80 and now you just brought this one to my attention. What would you recommend if you were in my shoes?
Certina or older model Longines Hydroconquest which can be found for $1000. But the best diver straight up for $1000 is Certina.
Buy Hamilton cause they use H10 caliber that means no plastic parts like Tissot seastar
@TheDroc1990 where do you recommend finding older longines?
C'mon Hamilton 40mm we need it
This is my 3rd Hammy and is by far the nicest. It just feels like a higher quality than my Khaki Field and my 10
Yr old Jazzmaster. I wear it everyday outside of work.
This was 7 months ago. Is it still keeping good time? I'm thinking about grabbing one.
Wish it was a 41mm. Just a bit big for my lil princess wrists.
Hamilton and Glycine😍😍😍
Mido Ocean Star 600 COSC from the same swatch group offers a lot more for almost the same price. On the fly adjustment, lume insert into the bezel and a superior finish. Can you please review the Mido? Thank you Teddy
The Mido Ocean Star 600 is 500€ more expensive...and less beautiful.
@@claptoned0and its Mido...
That's a lot of watch for $995.
You can get the old one for 500
You can find it new online for $695, great deal
Purchased one from the navy exchange for $595, screaming deal.
That is a lot of watch for that price! Good pick up!
Which location?
300 meters, more than 900 feet? I have been a diver for 40 years and only be deeper then 100 feet but a few times. AND, we have not used watches while diving for many many years. Dive computers took over more than 30 years ago.
You are right that nobody really dives with a dive watch. However, the 300meter rating is a static rating. When you move your arm in the water the movement creates higher pressure. So a 100m rating is really barely safe for swimming. And you really need 200m just to dive safely at 40 to 60 feet probably. At least that is how I understand it.
I am thinking to buy this watch but my wrist size is 17.3cm 6.8 inches do you think is gonna look good what is your opinion guys?
My guess is it would look a little big but you never know for sure until you try it on. Maybe go for the older 40mm version?
Thank you for the reply, i try it on and i think it looks ok cuz the lugs turn down at the end and it doesnt cover the whole wrist
@@georgemichael3814 Yeah the curved lugs help a lot. I have the 40mm Navy Scuba and the lug to lug is 50mm but it looks smaller than that.
The watch collector's anthem deserves to be shared with everyone.
300m WR at 12.8mm thickness for under $1k? That's a lot of watch.
Can you do a video on the Gorilla watch brand? Made by the former Chief Designer of AP
I have bought it for 1050 euros jn Greece, but can you tell me,why Hamilton navy scuba dive 300 meter is more expensive than Tissot seastar 300 meters????? Why???? Tissot is cheaper than Hamilton and icant realise the reason,if you can tell me,thanks
I m looking to buy the same watch! And I noticed the same! I think is about companies general sells, Tissot is a much bigger company that Hamilton, so to have profit Hamilton sell higher! But, ahamilton use H-10 caliber that has not any plastic parts like powermatic 80 on Tissot models
@@ThwmasSt Hamilton move is 25 jewels, powermatic 80 ,23 Jewels, apart from that, Hamilton has a more beautiful, expensive dial than Tissot,...The colour of the dial is blue and sometimes looks like black!!!!
@@ThwmasSt I would suggest you to buy PRX 80 powermatic or Hamilton murph...Khaki navy scuba,is very fat,heavy,is not a smart watch...Its very solid,but only that....If i bought, now,a watch,i would not buy khaki navy.. It's accurate enough, that's a good point,but with 1000 Euros,you can buy a more beautiful watch,maybe Seiko alpinist
@@ThwmasSt Hamilton khaki navy scuba 300 metres, has a more beautiful dial than Tissot seastar,it looks like more expensive than Tissot one , that's why is more expensive...I have the deep blue dial, but i think that black one dial is the right choice...I didn't buy the black one, because the jewellery shop i went, had only the blue one,and i did not want be waiting the black.. Black was sold out
Make it 40mm and it's an insta-kop.
Clasp should have 4 micro adjusts at that price point!
Make it 41mm, get rid of the 24-hour markings, and put on a micro-adjust clasp (like Tudor T-fit)
I don't get this pointless clasp. Why only 2 micro adjustment holes? It actually makes my Khaki Field Automatic's bracelet problematic for wearing. And there is plenty of room for even 4 more holes.
Way too big for the majority of watch buying wrists. Hamilton needs to make a 40mm version, and they will sell a lot of watches, but of course, Hamilton specializes in not selling a lot of watches.
Weird. If you squint it looks like a Orient Ray 2.
Hamilton nicer than a Rolex for under $1000...
I do not understand why a high quality diver gets a stinker of a bracelet ( no diver's extention and just 2 micro adjust pounts) and if it does, it would be nice if it had drilled lugs to allow easy strap changes.
A Scuba dude you accept Teddy? Lol
Only 2 micro adjustments on a clasp that size makes no sense.
Nobody dives with these watches we use dive computers
👍👍👍
Wow that's fucking class.
Not a fan of the dial at all. Too much clutter.
Imagine all the desk divers will get excited about this lol. I'll keep my 100m version thank you.
I'm super confused why this watch gets all the attention, while the objectively superior Frogman gets nearly zero love.
Frogman is more expensive my friend
@@Manos596 And huge at 46mm
@@alangil40 Yes,its huge, but frogman is more beautiful than khaki navy scuba
@@Manos596 I won't disagree with that. It's also a real dive watch that is ISO certified. But most consumers are not diving with these watches and for most 46mm is too big which is why it probably doesn't get the attention.
@@alangil40 The real reason, that people don't prefer frogman,us the price..Its expensive for Hamilton Dive...Nobody will spend the money that frogman costs... That's the reason, not the size... With these money, that frogman costs, you have a lot of better choisses to buy!!!!
Dear Hamilton. Please get rid of the 24 and put your logo there -- 24 isn't a time, it's 23:59 then 00:00. Beauty otherwise....
Oh snap!
If they would have made this a 41mm it would be flying off the shelves. I love the green dial but at a 6 3/4 wrist its just to big for me.
Ridiculosuly big and expensive for what is an average dive watch. If you want the same movement, get with the Mido Oceanstar which is much better in every way. Or get a higher end Seiko Prospex and call it a day.
Big? Sure. "Ridiculously big"? Not even close. There are plenty of people out there with large wrists that can wear this.
And you'd be hard pressed to find a dive watch with similar specs at a better price. The Mido you referenced is $970 MSRP and has only 200M WR with a Titanium bezel. That's less watch for the same price IMO. Plus it's coming from a less prestigious brand.
@@duvalpenny100Could you tell me,why is more expensive than a seastar????Why????I bought the Hamilton navy scuba 300 meters,ok,for 1050 euros, but i cant understand for what Reason is more expensive then the Tissot seastar power matic...Do you know the reason????
It’s to large
Why are they still making male endlinks? Watch makers must pay zero attention to what their customers want.
For a lesser price..buy an Orient Kamasu.
Correction, buy whatever you want, and no one will judge you.
Looks like a random Orient diver.
I find hamilton very underwhelming. I rather buy a Longines even though more expensive. Otherwise I'll stick with seiko or tissot.
I really want to like Dive watches but i just don't. They are horrible to look at.
Personal preferences
OK
Who asked?
A copy of the Mido
You like it or not, all these dive watches resemble the Seamaster way too much. Always feel like copycats.
To me, they’re all derivative of the Submariner.
this is freaking orient
Your channel is best but your website is worst.
Thank you, Hamilton, for not adding a date to a dive watch.
I stopped at 1:24 mark when the size of 43mm was mentioned. I'm out.
