I really love Hamilton. Great heritage and lots of great choices. This particular piece…..I can’t help but think it’s missing something and a little boring in todays ocean of selection. Perhaps it’s because I prefer this model with the blue/orange bezel. Has that pop. Anyway, top shelf video as usual. I grabbed a Longines Conquest last week after you convinced me. 😎👍🏼

I think it would be interesting to compare this watch with the Hamilton Frogman. The Frogman definitely simplifies things toward a true diver. Crown guards are pretty substantial though.

I agree, for the price, it may be the best diver in that range. I think I paid under 800 with AD discount and shipping. I have the white dial version of this and love it to death. Going on about a year with it. I like a big watch and the 43mm is just perfect for me. I have the new green dial on order with my AD and I think with Hamilton's addition of the green dial, they have knocked this line out of the park. Mine is still holding time at COSC standards. I wish Hamilton would offer a fitted rubber strap and put an quick adjust on the bracelet. 5 year warranty would be great, but it's not a 5K like the SMP either. Those are my only issues about it.

Hamilton make some very fine, solid Field and Pilot-style watches, with undeniable heritage. But I can't help feel they have tried to incorporate too much Field DNA (inner 24hr indices; almost GMT style sec hand ?) into what is supposed to be a diver. It's way too busy IMO and overall aesthetics a bit ubiquitous. However, great specs, depth rating, ceramic bezel and owning several Hamilton Fields myself, I know the H10 (ETA based) movement is very robust and accurate. Just not one I would go for despite the 'affordable' price point.

I actually own this watch. I had been looking for affordable dive watch with robust movement and blue ceramic bezel. I was so glad they upgraded this. Brand does matter to me even at this price point and I pick Hamilton everyday over Tissot or other Powermatic 80 divers. But I just dont understand why Swatch Group makes all of their new divers at 43mm. It is impossible to wear this as an everyday watch given the weight and lug-to-lug even for my 7inch wrist, and the bracelet doesnt do me any flavour on the comfort. This 22mm bracelet only comes with 2 holes on the clasp for micro adjustment, which I could never manage to have good fit on my wrist. It is just a very confusing downgrade, given that the old 20mm bracelet actually has 3 holes on the clasp. Not to mention the bracelet has a confusing relatively small end link, and the clasp scratches the bracelet itself which Hamilton never intended to fix such design error. After all, I am still happy with the watch but just because I cannot find any replacement at the same price point with the same specs, brand, as well as blue ceramic bezel .

I have this watch but in black I hardly ever wear it on the bracelet I have a grey and black rubber as well as a couple leather straps i use and I love it out of all my watches this is the one I just look at when I’m laying on the couch in a perfect world it would be 42mm but hey we can’t have it all I am eyeing the hydroquest but feel like if I’m gonna take that plunge might as well jump all the way in and get a black bay heritage but haven’t decided yet

Also love this one but I cant get myself to buy it because of the size, sadly.
The 40mm version doesnt do it for me unfortunately
