- So cool to hang out with Neil and get a session in at not just one but two different parks out in his neck of the woods. He said he's not as great on transition so I'm gonna have to get him out to Hoboken one of these days.
Give his youtube channel a sub / @neilhook5529 and check him out on instagram as well / neil_hook
A big thanks to / dauiwowie for the continued use of his incredible outro music.

Speed is the key man. These 50/50 were looking much better and it helped you to land them more frequently.
Totally. I worked up to the speed but then once I did hit a sweet spot and it was all I wanted. I kept telling myself on the run up, more speed.
Great session grinds
Thanks man, really trying to increase my speed with grinds.
cut out quarters are so good for confidence!
Oh man, you ain’t kiddin.
This was a fun video. Parks were cool. You've totally got the fly out on the mini ramp. You almost had it a few times. Just gotta go fast enough and stay over your board. It's like an ollie without popping. The 5050 at the second park was SICK!!!!!!
Thanks man and yeah, I just didn’t trust the fly outs enough to stay over the board
Good seesion there Ben. Keep at it fella!
Thanks Ed
Good sesh, good grind. I go and check that channel.
Thanks Laurent, felt good to get some speed
that quarter pipe at 10:34 is so much harder than it actually looks, there's one at Colgate skatepark in Orange and that thing is crazy hard to do properly
Yeah, I really needed to work up to it.
Those 50/50s looked pretty good.
Thanks dude
The second park looked good and the cut out quarter is a hard thing to ride. There is one at a park near me and I really wanna get it but just don't think I have it in me. Seeing you do this one though had made me at least wanna go and give it a try though.
Yeah that second park was only a year or two old and you could tell from the layout and construction. I dig the cutouts but as you could see in the video, I had to work up to it.
The density of cool skateparks is impressive... We don’t have that many here (Switzerland).
Yeah, I am very thankful for the plethora of parks to go to. I might hit a new one with a friend tomorrow (no camera, just a skate and hang.) I would build a mini ramp in the back yard but the Mrs. won’t let me. Would love something small like Hoboken.
Love the bs grind @1:41 You should start trying axle stalls. You’ll be doing 50 50 grinds before you know it
Yeah man, still trying to figure out how to get my weight out of the transition and up onto the deck in a confident way. Feel more confident when I’m at Hoboken but even there I don’t think I’ve nailed a real axle stall.
@@BenJaegerThomas You’ve definitely got enough speed. You need to ride straight up into an Ave stall. No carve for that one. Some of those bs grinds were getting a bit lapped up like a a Smith grind
@@vonslagle yeah, I need to trust in that pivot and just ride straight up to that coping
Man up bro!! Just kidding...us northern east bros gotta keep warm by sketching...you have a lot of nice parks...the parks around here are too pro for me...prolly cause I suck, but I’d love to have that half pipe man
Yeah, I totally enjoy the colder weather because I sweat too much in the summer, so at least during this time I can layer.
