    I’d kill for a park like that

      I am lucky to have these parks near by. My taxes might say otherwise, but it’s worth it? 🤷‍♂️

    Start trying ollies with your front foot in the flip position and you will see it getting easier to flick. When you do an ollie in the flip position the skateboard will start flicking naturally without having to push it.

      You are actually lifting your knee and hence your foot is staying above the board when you were practicing on the bars. So close now! You got this man.

    That was a .good session. Funny how you were flicking better as you get warmer. I saw you trying full cab. Decompose the trick in 2 pivots first to get the motion. When you get comfortable, do it faster and faster. Pop it, et voilà !

    • @BenJaegerThomas
      @BenJaegerThomas  4 года назад +1

      Thanks Laurent, honestly, I just though that by doing a half cab and committing to turning my upper half it would help with my fakie bigspins. What actually ended up happening is that with thinking about my upper body, I ended up landing on my front truck in a nose mnaual/pivot kind of thing that almost made me do a full cab! Craziness. But it did cross my mind after those few attempts. Was really just sketching out the fakie bigspin though.

    You were locking in your nose stalls on that ledge really solid this session. Might be time to start angling your approach for nose slides on something? Good session though... lucky to have options with your choice of skateparks :-)

    Before you commented that you got your best switch ollie.. I was thinking... those are his best switch ollies...
    did you think the skater trainers helped? Seemed to me it was best when you held on... but then you risk hitting your head.
    Noticed you were missing the rock to fakies here but getting them on a recent video.. I see below you said these ramps are bigger.

    • @BenJaegerThomas
      @BenJaegerThomas  3 года назад +1

      Yeah, the skater trainers can be helpful but for me at this point they weren't really helping my kickflip practice. As far as the rock to fakie goes, these ramps are a bit higher and the surface is a painted metal which tends to give me some slide with my wheels and make me more apprehensive. Also, that quarter there with the spine transfer doesn't have the flat up top that the mini ramp at hoboken does and the coping is more pronounced where as at hoboken it sits a little deeper in the mini ramp.

    • @l8rsk8r94
      @l8rsk8r94 3 года назад +1

      @@BenJaegerThomas maybe you need different wheels for metal ramps?

    • @BenJaegerThomas

      @@l8rsk8r94 Maybe? But i don't want to switch wheels out everytime I come across a different surface.

    • @l8rsk8r94
      @l8rsk8r94 3 года назад +1

      @@BenJaegerThomas I feel like I always need different wheels on different surfaces. Maybe it is because of my bad balance. (Not saying that is your problem of course... metal is slippery)
      Maybe this might give you some ideas, or some other video of his.. he talks about using the same wheel on different surfaces
