Hello I have 2 questions; 1. Does the drive shaft spinning while the car in park mean my transmissions is shot; I am still able to drive the car fine, just no awd, or could it be the transfer case is shot? I have occasional late shifts but the car shift relatively smooth. I’ve read that the gasket/seal between the transmission and the transfer case let’s moisture in and messes up the splines on the tranfer case>transmission thing(I’m not sure what it’s called)but could this be what the problem is and does the whole transmission need to be replaced then? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@autotech9043 ok I wasn't sure if I would have enough clearance to pull the transmission out from the bottom....would I be able to or would I have to pull it up out the top?
@@autotech9043 That's good. My next concern would be the Nu series engines that were so problematic in Kias and Hyundais. It's tough to find a car that has a good engine AND a good transmission. Seems like one or the other is suspect in most cars that I can afford.
Thank you for this video. I’ve done Hondas before about to go tackle one of these this morning. Seems very similar
Thanks got ur comment

The best way to do scan the transmission , sometimes could be shift solenoid . Start from there scan it first.
Thanks for your reply, That could cause the awd system to go out?
Did you remove through the side of the sub frame or right through the center?
No you should not move sub frame , have enough space
Can this be done without a lift? With 12 ton jack stands?
Yes of course , just the lift make it easier that’s all.

You should pull it from the bottom
