Update, if you change out any parts in your transmission, you will need to reprogram your car with a scanner. Speed sensor or valve body ribbon connector. Otherwise you will have problems with your transmission shifting.
What i still do not understand is when hyundai and kia (the sister company) build their vehicles , why have they not make the transmission reliable for these many years? I had hyundai tucson 2017 fwd which started having transmission failure after 108000 km. Buying hyundai was the worst thing i have done in my life when it cane to buying a car just to go to work. I didn't know it why i bought it. The issue is why hyundai is focusing on improving electronics when clearly they have works need to be done on the basics and the very essential transmission. Just watching your video i can tell how unsure and unrealistic this might be for an average mechanic to repair transmission stuffs. Anyway great video. Forgive my ranting. I am just disappointed at hyundai for letting transmission failures and not having guts to fix them. They would rather do fleet promotion over addressing the elephant in the room.
So I have tested all my fuses on my 2010 Hyundai Elantra inside and out and all are good. only way I can get it out of park or back into park is with the release using a key to push it down. I replace the brake switch on the brake pedal that I bought at Hyundai last week. the shift interlock is not getting power to activate the release when pushing on the brake with the ignition on but the brake lights are working. I tested the interlock with 12v, and it works but not when plugged into the connector. With the connector disconnected the key can't be removed but as soon as it's connected the key can be removed so that signal works. Any idea on what is causing my issue?
That is very helpful. I am thinking on doing this job on my 2010 santa fe sport AWD. On occasion I get a high Rev hard shift into I believe 2nd to 3rd. Seems to happen when I am coasting along not if I'm hard accelerating. I am looking for videos that will show me the way and helpful tips and info. Thanks for your help.
Auto repair guys, can I do this cleaning to the VVT selenoid on the exhaust side as well? I replaced the intake vvt selenoid and I'm still getting an engine light for bank b. Any help would be amazing. I have a 2010 Santa Fe v6 3.5

The original screen broke apart on my engine. Then the Dorman replacements keep having one of the new style screens pop loose. It then slaps around at the edge of the valve, causing it to malfunction. I've discovered that the Dorman is junk. I've had to replace that solenoid on my VVT 5.7 Hemi, 4 times already. Since it's under warranty, I keep using the same replacement. But I put a retaining ring over the screens this time, similar to the new replacement from MOPAR. The thumbnail picture, just made me want to share about the Dorman garbage, that I have had to deal with. Guess I should have gone to the dealership and ordered the right part. LOL
Hello guys I got a A6FM1 4WD. My transmission has problems on 3rd gear shifting to 4th. It’s does not shift on time and the rpms go up and once goes into gear will bump hard but if I let go of the pedal will shift almost normal. Which solenoid do I need to replace ? What would you guys recommend for repairs ?

No one wants to take off the front end and radiator. To fix their vehicle transmission problem. However informative content. Might convince my coworker to do this on a weekend. His car has been having issues. Too bad Hyundai didn't design the sensors on the outside of the transmission. So you could easily access them

Which one controls 1,3,5 7 gears? My transmission for my 2016 is only working in 2nd, 4th, and 6th gears (and Park and Reverse). Or is that a different problem?

after you clean and check each solenoid should you hit the valve body with the same cleaner
