Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
Matt and Tom Toms interaction with Stu was great. Seemed like such a chill dude. I vote Matt and crew do one of his expeditions.
Really enjoy Tom being part of crew, a great guy. Lizzie's always cheerful and up for the challenge. Thanks for taking us along for these jobs. Take care and God bless you all.
"Such an honor to have you!" Stu you're one chill dude. I hope you help many in finding their paths!
P.S. I hope your path is paved in blessings.

Matt has changed... Yes and no. I was musing to myself a few days ago that I admire the fact that Matt is so much more natural on camera than when I started watching a couple of years ago and yet is still really down to earth and normal and hasn't become one of these curated plastic facades that so many youtubers feel like. Keep up the good work!
This is now my second favorite video (the first is Lizzy and Randy being pulled in the trashed out car). The mud section, the sunset, and the second customer ("Learned to drive when i was in 3rd grade, didn't get a car until i was 40") really made this video enjoyable.
“I miss Randy” -Said No One
Matt wont say why Randy left the show or was removed. Dont know. But I seen him filming with Casey's off road recovery for a while.
@ My Cancer Journey Your cut n paste all over the internet is awesome!
@@KyGun Why would he say why?
Link? Lol. I’m fairly new to Matt I seen him on donut media and been a fan since . Watched this non stop.
I have a lifted Jeep YJ on 33x12.50s that I take 4wheeling here in TN
That Yukon recovery may be one of the most beautiful scenic settings of any video you have ever produced… wow!
And anyone should have been able to drive it out by rocking without spinning, wasn't hung up.
@@shadespiker4742 except 18:41 kind of destroys your argument.
@@saltyp123 If it moves its not stuck until you hang it up.
I'm actually surprised it didn't come out by itself it didn't look bad at all
@@shadespiker4742 spoken like someone with "tons" of experience. First of all..dudes tires were pretty bald. He wasn't moving...and I think if it could've gotten out..then Matt wouldn't have rehooked. But you keep throwing out that basic skills/knowledge.
God Bless the Tow Truckers of the world. My sprinter van just got stuck yesterday in the mud when I was delivering for Walmart Spark in Louisiana. I was stuck for two and a half hours before a truck was available......but once they came it only took two minutes for them to pull me out.👍👍 Saved the day for me. Very traumatizing to be in a position of incapacitation. Once we see you guys coming it's like GOD has arrived. Thanks for your service.💕💕🙌🙌🙏🙏
So I've been off-roading for 26 years ... One thing I've learned, is that mud destroys everything. Bearings, seals, steering components, suspension, brakes, and basically anything that moves.
I used to run an off-road recovery business in Texas, and after doing it for 4 years in my Tundra, I had to replace almost every bearing and bushing on my truck. I did the labor myself and the parts were still multiple thousands of dollars. I found sand/mud in EVERYTHING! I refuse to drive my truck now in mud up to the center of my wheels.
Also another tip, when you have synthetic line on a winch, or even those kinetic energy ropes, and mud/sand gets into the fibers, as the fibers stretch, the sand acts like micro sandpaper cutting the fibers little by little each time you use it. This is why I only run wire cables on my winches and I won't let mud or sand get on my kinetic energy ropes. If I have to pull somebody out of the mud and it gets all over my kinetic energy rope, they are going to understand how much that rope cost to replace, and they are going to pay me to replace it, and I will give them the rope that I just used to pull them out that now has sand or mud on it.
Preach it brother. Mud is the worst. Never understood the folks in the gulf States out mud bogging, destroying equipment
@@reallifehardtruth4465 I used to be one of those guys. After destroying a couple trucks, and two brand new Yamaha grizzly 4x4 ATVs, I am over it. The ATVs were pretty much trashed after about 800 mi on them. All the bearings, bushings and brakes needed to be replaced on them at minimum.
both customers were super humble in the recoveries. gotta love those types.
"the best thing about patience is.. you don't have to do anything"
He said that after huge puff . said hey that almost makes sense been saying it for 20 years now.
That mud was brutal. One thing I learned from duck hunting is that when you’re walking in the mud you’ve gotta take small tippy toe steps like a ballerina. Reduces the suction on your feet so you don’t lose your boots and socks. Mud recoveries look like a big mess. Glad you’re there to help
Matt, I blame you and your crew for my Maverik burrito addiction. I’m an OTR truck driver and it is difficult to find quality foods that can be prepared quickly. I buy 20-30 Maverik burritos when I roll through the I-15/84 corridor to sustain me during the weeks driving east. I’m an Idaho boy (@55 y/o) and have enjoyed your recoveries for nearly 2 years now.
Keep the laughter coming.
Stewy is definitely one o' them guys that has some DAMN funny stories and sayings. Seems like a genuine dude.
Tom is a great addition to the crew with the best attitude you can ask for. Of course Dig Dug needs a coat of yellow paint and the goodies needed for recovery success.
The enJinEARS I know aren't fun like him! He even lets people pick on his built in need for orderliness. i.e. the whole make a birdhouse w/o a measuring tape!
I agree. He is smart, level headed and has a good attitude. That is a good combo.
No yellow for Dig Dug. It's not a company car. TomTom will definitely decide
DigDug needs some 42's , D60 front and GM 14FF rear, and a big block, or an LSA
LOL! "Dig Dug!" Reminds me of an '80s video game. Thanks for the look back.
Hope you recover the guru again sometime. Love his philosophy "the thing about patience is you don't have to do anything" 😂😂😂
That guy was definitely a character haha
I would be perfectly OK with Guru Stu being a recurring character!
That advice is a keeper! :D
This gentleman seems like he'd be a very interesting person to discuss philosophy with. A deep thinker. Very few of those around these days....
Heartily agree, just someone that enriches the lives around them.
I live north of Ash Fork AZ and watch our local tow company Murphy’s Diesel RUclips channel. I just started watching your channel. I’m a disabled veteran that has difficulty getting out and about. These videos are therapeutic watching them for me. Great work guys. You have to think of mud as money. You’ll quit hating it.
I think this was the most prettiest recovery you all have ever done. Thanks for taking us along!
One of my favorite things about watching your channel is the incredible scenery. The rock formations are so awesome. And the sunset in this particular video! Wow! Thanks for slinging the camera around to let us see it all.
I have been in southern Utah several times (I live in New Jersey) and it is truly awesome in its beauty .
That also caught my eye when Matt had only 4k subscribers.
It's on my bucket list

Stew could be a regular on the channel. And now, this week’s zen moment with Stew. “The best part of patience is that you don’t have to do anything.” 😂
"I show people their path"
@@alexdefelice2448 Really, I'm like, "what is his channel??"
For real though, I want him to join the crew! Hilarious!
💯
Stu is awesome. If he had a channel, I would watch it.
I loved Matt's look of " I chose the wrong guy to ride with" while riding with Stew.
Seeing Matt struggle in the mud brings back memories . I repair heavy equipment and have almost lost my boots quite a few times. Once I even got stuck to my knees and a coworker helped get me out. Still laugh at myself about it sometimes
As someone who has been stuck in the mud in the dirt roads around Beaver, I can feel this person's pain.
Beavers!
Bro this car is mad sunk. Gives me flashbacks of that time I drove a 4wheeler into a pit of clay. And it sunk right in the middle and i thought it was just mud so when i went to step off my 4wheeler, my feet hit the ground and i immedietly sunk up to nearly my waist in clay. This really soft mucky clay they used several feet of to retain water or something idk. So wjat i did was i flopped onto my stomach so i wouldnt die by sinking too deep, and i crawled to the side of the clay pit on my belly and when i got out I called for help. Turns out, the pit was FILLED with spiders 😫 filled man.
Got stuck in a beaver once.
I'm honestly surprised they made it out with the front bumper intact, I was sure it was going to rip off as soon as they pulled on the car.
@@KA-om9oz I got stuck in a crusty beaver once,
19:31 I CANNOT believe this man is over 40... I would've said no older than 30. Wow. I guess his super positivity has kept him youthful!
I am so grateful that this community keeps growing and is made up of such a diverse group of great people. I never thought I would be addicted to watching vehicle recoveries... Yet, here I am.
Imagine FINALLY calling Matt for a rescue, the anticipation of waiting for the Banana, or will it be the Morrvair...maybe the wrecker and they show up in Digdug(sp). Great job Tom!
Watching Matt flail around in the mud is peak RUclips viewing! I couldn't stop laughing. Thank you!

UNDERRATED COMMENT
you actually laughed, out loud? very sad.
Damn bro, thats mean
@@mikeworkman3593 it's fine no worries
Matt after getting the car out of the mud you definitely earned your victory pie without a doubt.
I have one suggestion you all should have muck boots for recoveries like that it would save you from getting dirty.
Lizzy is so thoughtful she felt bad and apologized for getting the inside of the car muddy. I have a ton of respect for her in my opinion she is a true inspiration.
I think Dig Dug would make a great addition to the recovery crew for sure.
Matt has learned from making mistakes you make sure and have the parts you need to not make things worse.
Yeah, just have the boots live in the truck.
Matt also could consider a coat and gloves... I'm confused that someone who specializes in helping people who are not prepared is also... not prepared.
@@sungear He has said he doesn't like gloves and rarely needs/wants a coat. When he first started getting more popular he had a heavy black plastic garbage bag that hung out in the Banana, for him to kneel on when he hooked people up. He doesn't even have that now lol.
@@sungear Matt has often mentioned 'mind over matter'.
Some folks learn incredible control over their bodies merely using their minds. The mind is potentially a very powerful tool in reality.
Matt doesn't 'feel cold' usually, I've only seen him wearing a jacket a very few times.
“The cool thing about patience is you don’t need to do anything” is the quote of the day! Funny and profound.
Pulling Stew’s car out-that location was so beautiful! The snow-etched red hills, the sunset, the slowly darkening sky. Fabulous.
Hey, Matt..Now that you are used to the camera, that would make a great video seeing all of those practice videos you mentioned strung together with your editors comments added! We fans would love to see that part of how MORR has evolved to what it is now!! :-) Everyone starts somewhere, we'd love to watch it!
I can sympathize with Matt. There's a muscle in my back I *only* seem to use when shoveling snow, and every time I do, it hurts for a day or two, lol...
We need more of Stu. He’s the dude!!
Matt struggling through the mud is far the funniest moment I've ever seen on this channel
I love Stu's sense of humour. It would be good to see more of him!
He's one likeable dude.
Don't get crazy now, He'll just be gone like the rest of the crew.
@ My Cancer Journey Your cut n paste all over the internet is awesome!
@@idaholandwhore makes me sad, but people must move on, stagnating is un-natural and often unhealthy
Stu is a Loonatic.....LoL
I will say.......
That sentra was pulled out a lot easier than expected .
Plus, the fact that it was ok to drive away without any significant damage has given me a bit more respect for its toughness 👌
I wouldn't call it tough. They were lucky the whole bumper cover didn't rip off.
@Jeepin Dave thats part of what i mean. That car was up there a few days , with only that flimsy plastic underbody paneling slowing mud from wrapping up everything, them pulling it out backward turning that same plastic into kind of a scoop putting more pressure on that whole front bumper , and when its all said and done its still in good enough shape for the customers to be able to drive it away?
I didnt think the nissan would've made it out with bumber attached........pleasantly surprised 👌🤣
@@jeepindave5464 i agree, i had money on that bumper staying in place as the car backed out. lol
I had a 2001 (pre-Renault influence) Sentra, was a great car for its mission. These later ones with the JATCO CVTs have weak transmissions. I'd congratulate them for not ruining the transmission trying to get it out.
@@boggy7665 yeah those pre-CVT auto Sentras are pretty hardy and decently quick for what they were. The manuals are almost always pretty good though, regardless of generation.
Man! The light in that last Recovery was awesome!
It makes me smile every time I see Matt have to deal with the mud. I live in FL, so we don't have rocks, we do have sand, but we have lots and lots of mud.
Plus pythons, iguanas and alligators.
True
Wow, that sunset in the snow looked amazing, one of the perks of working outdoors in remote areas.
As funny as Matt struggling in the mud was, I laughed harder at Stu saying "Yeah so brace yourself".
Matts offroad and Fab rats i just love. Of course there is a few others i watch as well. I love them because there is no swearing or bad language, they respect each other and they are happy to be around and help everyone.
The second recovery was very close to the filming location of the famous "knife fight" scene in "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid". At 15:40 and again at 17:01, you can see a striking cone-shaped formation in the far background. This cone is also visible in the background of the movie scene behind the Harvey Logan character (played by the late, beloved Ted Cassidy)..
I know all you're episodes are like this, but this one seemed extra wholesome today! Keep up the great work. Y'all are awesome!
It's kinda funny tho 😅
@@MaryJames-sr3on : Yup....kinda "Splishy Splashy" ya might say.
Nothing funnier than seeing people falling in mud! Also watching Matt doing the mash potato in mud is pretty funny too!
Its amazing how the morrvair handled that nasty mud. Its an incredible vehicle. Thanks for the video Matt and crew.
Matt does a recovery in the middle of the wrecker games and he takes the time to admire the sunset! He is so chill.
We definitely need more videos with GuruStu helping Matt on his journey and teaching him about patience.
I laughed out loud when he said "Brace yourself".
The mud lady was delightful!!!
Matt and Lizzy and Tom y'all did a Awesome job
That mud gave me PTSD. Reminded me of being stuck in a mud soup / quicksand in TN in my 24 Outback Wilderness. Rocked a difficult trail up until the last 10min when I fell into a mud hole that sucked me down to my hips. I dug for 3.5hrs trying to free my car, used my max tracks to no avail. I had finally given up, wondering wtf I was going to do to get this car out of there. I hadn’t seen anyone all day so I said F it and prepped to start walking out. 3min after I prayed and was about to walk a Jeep with a winch rolled up and got me out. Learned my lesson, travel more prepared (I now have recovery gear, a winch, and proper skid plates), plus travel with others.
Absolutely loving Matt’s slapstick routine with the mud! 😂
In the UK we don't have the boulders or the dunes but we do have the MUD. Beautiful scenery on that last rescue
Got stuck in mud similar to that when i was a kid. Don't think it was quicksand but was up to my knees and couldn't move. Yelled for help but too far from any houses. Had to pitch my old shotgun and my shoulder pack, a bag from Vietnam for holding a claymore, still have it, over out of the mud. Kinda did what Matt did....leaned over and kinda did a swim thing. Had on jungle boots that my uncle gave me and took a while to get my feet unstuck. It was actually scary and i had been in some dangerous situations growing up and hiking woods and mountains by myself. Tried to send my dog for help but he just looked at me. Pretty sure he was laughing at me. That area is still undeveloped but new owners got a truck stuck in the same spot. They tried to cover it up with gravel but the mud ate it.
I think there is a spring that keeps it wet so no telling how deep it is. The truck was at an angle and the mud was up to the top of the tailgate before a couple of tractors were able to pull it out. Probably a Mastodon down in there. Huh, cuda been me in there with it. Tried to buy the property years ago but went way past my bid.
The most funny recovery with Matt in the mud:) Just funny!
The scenery on that second recovery was awesome. I love that part of the country. Dig Doug has what it takes to be a recovery vehicle. It's a square body and Eric from BSF just showed the whole world what a lightly modified square body is capable of! Good show guys thanks
* "Dig Dug," ? Like the (old) video game, ? But maybe you're using "dictate" speech to text, or whatever. 👍, 🙏🙊🦁🐑
The funniest part was hearing Lizzie, say that, “now I get to go to the dentist “while looking at her muddy shoes.
Who needs late night comedians when you have Matt 😂 another teaching moment for us all!
Amazed that came out without losing any of the front plastics.
I guess Nissan bolt it all together pretty well.
Mud is why Land Rovers were always fitted with tall, skinny, tyres.
In Britain, mud is the most common off-road "obstacle" and a tall, skinny tyre will cut through it and then grip on whatever's underneath the mud.
Back ground of both of them recoverys was amazing , matt looked like he needed some of that kinetic energy get n out the mud lol
I have found that bare feet don't get stuck in the mud anywhere as bad as boots do. But that's in the tropics where the mud is nice and warm.
“That gets you discounted price” is only my favourite 😂😂
Tomtom's truck is rad. Love the box and the dash
Thanks!

I got to give Matt credit That was a lot of thick mud, and he kept his cool pretty well. Great job Matt and Lizzy.
I’m impressed with the Patagonias. That’s Super Swamper Bogger tire territory!! I grew up in mud county that makes that look pretty tame.
Matt deserves a Victory Pie for that!
tip, go to your local hardware store, say home depot whatever and get yourself a set of concrete floating skids, good for mud and super soft sand, you can walk right on top, concrete finishers wear em on their knees or feets to stay on top the concrete.. really do work .. spray a lil' WD40 on the bottom for the sticky mud.. yup.. don't take up any space at all.. helps walk on deep snow as well
Good morning everybody and thumbs UP to Matt and crew! 👍👊👀
I don't understand how you manage to post this comment on every video as soon as they're posted. I respect the consistency and dedication 👏
Watching Matt trying to walk in the mud and after trying not giving instructions or getting involved is priceless.

Mud recoveries...YUCK!
We once pulled a car out of mud like that, but the mud was white, salty and smelled of dead fish. This was down around the Salton Sea in SoCal. If anyone ever calls you to rescue them from down there, tell them to call someone more local because you DO NOT want to ever be in a stinky mess like that.
Good job though!!
Man, I recall how great Off Roads Recoveries were a regular thing.
Ahhh, the good old days .
Good morning MORR crew!!!
This is hilarious because I’m not the one stuck in mud. If I were in Matt’s shoes I definitely wouldn’t be laughing. 😆
I definitely wasn't laughing when I had to pull out a full size Transit with my F250 last week when somebody at work decided to pull it into the side yard area with it raining all day. Of course the guy that did it had already gone home for the day, so another coworker and I were the ones getting muddy. At least I had some cardboard to lay on while I hooked up to it underneath 😅.
The second rescue dude was so chill.
Good job Matt /guys and the great spirit of your teamwork always make the job done, and I always notice the nice view of the location/places every time you rescue the stuck vehicle, thank you Matt team for entertaining us, God bless & stay safe...
From experience I can say that there are only two good options for walking in sticky deep mud like that. Bare feet and snow shoes. Thank You Matt for the entertainment!
I promise Matt, I'm not laughing at you, I am laughing at your animated reactions. That ain't mud... That is baby poo.
Edit, there are sooo many cool people, in the most obscure corners of this planet. haha, dude was something else. Good stuff!
4:45 "I'm sorry I'm gonna get your car muddy!" - Car is already half buried in mud 🤣❤
17:26 “Patience, you don't have to do anything........." I swear that broke Matt's brain. LOL
I don't know what's more surprising, Matt once being camera shy or Matt being the voice of reason lol
Start a new trend , strap some snow shoes onto your boots to stay on top of the mud! LOL
Mud is the evil of all things. Matt so sorry for your pain in that mud. You have to learn to let those young people do the heavy lifting. I love Lizzy but she had to get muddy anyway so you should have stayed in Movair, and let her do the hook up and drive.
TomTom you made yourself proud using your truck again for a recovery. The guy could probably have rocked his vehicle and driven out. Snow melt was his savior because had it been deep snow TomTom may have pushed his truck to it's current limit. Let's get those lockers aired up after the games. All in all TomTom you did a good job.😊
Really happy to see TomTom coming along in his abilities.🎉
This is one of my favorite videos watching Matt trying to walk in that mud
It was a very beautiful time of day at the last rescue and Stu seemed like a good guy.
When there's a golden glow on everyone's face you know the sunset is spectacular. The camera doesn't do it justice.
Great video! Because yall make such great content, you have had me binge watching everyday I'm off work lol. Really great show, and very informative. I have decided to switch all my metal winch systems out with synthetic, thanks to yall. Keep up the great work, and be safe out there! Blessings to yall from Tennessee.
Blessing to you too❤

I feel like years down the road, some of your past footage will be used to convict a murderer. At least one of these people out in the middle of nowhere was out buring a body when they got stuck. Love the Channel!
I felt the pull on my legs when you were struggling thanks for the fun!
