Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery! Авто/Мото
If you thought this was crazy, check out the worst winter recovery of the year… ruclips.net/video/-0xwq9YKGJo/видео.html
On bro, Thanks again brother for super content, cant wait for your Wreaker wars, apologies my version.
No setup or anything but, how do you deal with that noisy steeri g column. That would drive me nuts, not that it takes much. Thanks as always.
Never been stuck. Been delayed a few times...
Bro, this video was massive clickbait
Why do you take the he/she that was sitting behind you near the end? It never does anything.
The turnaround on the mountainside was impressive.
and on video it always looks half as steep and scary as in real life
I was waiting for him to put it in FWD only, put on the parking brake and spin the front end around.
What's impressive was the vehicle that was built. A corvair station wagon and Matt knew it would make a perfect off-road recovery vehicle so he could do turnarounds like that in it.
I am impressed in what went into that vehicle to make it the recovery vehicle it is.
It perfectly matches Matt's driving abilities.
I am impressed!
Imagine actually doing that rather than watching it on RUclips - side of a cliff, dark, icy
Sketchy! Matt alone…go for it! With passengers…maybe not a great idea!
I commend Jaime for being a bit nervous and not bowing to peer pressure to drive faster than she was comfortable with. And then find out she was in 2wd. Gotta like that lady. You have a good one.
Jaimy's expression at 11:38 tho...Like err um, okay. Nice to be informed...She's 24kct gold.
13:35 Jamie is such a peach, Matt’s a lucky man. Well done Matt
That first recovery was awesome. I was nervous about that turn around but as usual, Matt made it look easy. Jamie, I would have been nervous driving down that hill too but you did great! Great filming Rhett! And it was great that Robby could go with you.
5/5 Turnaround. Skill, experience, capability of equipment, observers, lighting, snow conditions, etc. Really remarkable.
Jamie is a real trooper. Nothing wrong with slow and steady. Great recoveries.
Favorite part was towards the end of the video where the music starts playin' and a few seconds later around 15:38 - the sudden low hypnotic sound of the turn-signal - - aaand then back to the music. Great little piece of editing humor! Thanks for sharing on this icy morning! 👊
Jaymie something that I learned in trucking is “It’s faster to go slow than wait for a tow”. Your doing fine.
You know, a perfectly placed unnecessary front dig would have made that turn around easier. Probably an unnecessary front dig, followed by a rear dig would've been sweet.
I tried it. It got edited out, but my front wheels just sunk down about 10 inches and I didn’t move it all.
And I was in the passenger seat flaying my arms and screaming so Matt did what he had to do to get it turned around safely!
@@RobbyLayton lol! 😆
matt sayings thanks dad to robby was perfect and made me chuckle real good!
Love every cross over with Robby , Paul, Rory and Merlin !!
Jayme's an awesome driver.....you go girl!!! She don't need no stinkin' 4 WD...
Been watching these videos just a couple weeks and I'm hooked. Best thing about them is they're have a blast working and you don't hear a bunch of bleeping or 4 letter single syllable words.
Well for us old guys who would be in danger in that kind of terrain, we hope and pray that there will be plenty videos coming after the event since we have watched the world's biggest off road wrecker being put together for months, y'all enjoy friends ,we will be pulling for you 😊😊😊
Since the start of project, can't wait to see it in action
Even Robby was impressed with that turn around. Cool stuff!
The anxiety im getting from watching you try to turn around next to that cliff is nuts hahaha
Great recoveries Matt. What is more impressive is the PSA, caring for all the good folks that follow you and want to see your Off Road Wrecker Games. That makes you a class act Sir, Thank You!
You are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
The precision of the conversion between °F and °C is amazing !
definitely did their research there
Not sure what's more impressing. Matt's rescue abilities or Matt being out there under freezing temp with a button shirt.
There ya go Rhett 😊 good to see you working again. Great camera man. Have fun folks.
Great recovery on the mountain in the snow. Ya'll make it look so easy.
That WAS a SWEET turnaround Matt!
Great to see Robby and Jamie. Super sketchy turnaround!
Whoever you have doing editing is doing a phenomenal job on these videos! Kudos 🎉
Whoever is doing the editing is so spot on! I laughed quite a few times on this one!!
Can't believe you pulled off that 40 point turn!
Jamie ... you deserve a medal !
That turn around was NUTS!. Great job keeping it up-rite. No timestamp needed.
Always fun, glad to se Robby tagging along 😀👍❤️❤️
I just love seeing the whole Fab team working together! Chad, Robby, Paul, Matt and last but not least, Merlyn! Pretty cool to see Sparks involved sometimes as well! Absolutely love the whole lot of you!!!
Great seeing Robby joining the party
Robby is awesome. Always puts a little extra fun thing in their videos like pranks or something silly.
Hey Matt! I know other shows have tips on certain off road tips, but it would be great to see stock 4 wheel drive capable trucks in some common terrain that you encounter, and what, if anything you can do to increase your ability to get through that terrain. Airing down tires, tire chains etc. With all of your experiences it would great to get that input.
As a Tacoma owner that recently drove up and a steep road in deer rep snow just like that snow…..airing down is essential!! That truck should have been able to drive out, I could be wrong but I’d put odds on airing down; I couldn’t get over the apex of the hill and once I aired down it’s as if I went from 2wd to 4
@@robert9guinn After seeing this show, I never want to be on it. And, yes, airing down is a good strategy as long as you have big knobby tires. This show alerted me to Mud Terrain Tires. I always thought All Terrain Tires with snow and mud markings were adequate. Do you have any experience with chains and airing down?
I started watching this channel in the hope of picking up a few self rescue tips, so I video like that would be pure gold for me. (But like so many others, I’ve stayed for the personalities and the scenery 😜.)
@@robert9guinn Airing down definitely helps, once the Toyota slid into the low side ditch line it kind of Fu barred him even with Morrvair pulling the front end with a low side hookup it did not want to come up out of the ditchline.
Be careful airing down. My all terrain snow tires have put me through snow deeper than my bumper at 40psi but don't have reinforced sidewalls so I wouldn't go below probably 25. Also don't stop anywhere that looks sketchy, keep up momentum. And always keep a good 10,000 tow rope handy. Never know when you might need a pull and not everybody who could help has one
It’s crazy that Matt remembers EVERY job he’s done and WHERE they happened.
They video taped every single one.
I suspect Matt is one of us people that thinks mostly in pictures, it make recalling events much easier but book learning is harder.
Ya that's not too crazy, it's his job to
I can’t remember what I did a couple days ago much less something a year or better. And the amount of them he’s done.
He goes on hundreds of jobs so it is impressive the specifics he remembers but it makes sense as it’s a whole experience to run a job
When I was shopping for my pickup some years back, one of the comments on 2WD versus 4WD was that 4WD let you get further from the paved road before you need to call the tow truck. (especially around construction sites)
Haha this is true!! I see a lot of scenarios on this channel where simply airing down with 4x4 would get them out! Kinda like the Tacoma in this vid!
This is a true statement if only telling part of the story, what most leave out is one can go just as far with 4wd vs 2wd but generally not needing to call a wrecker. experience and common sense go a long way for most things in life. 2wd=1wd 4wd=2wd without lockers with lockers one has the option of 1wd 2wd 3wd or 4wd experience and common-sense dictates when and why to use which combination.
Matt flip the nozzle upside down when you don't have a vent. Then u can still lock the trigger. Had to do this all the time on my mustang. It helps vent as it fills.
Just goes to show how amazing that moorvair is. The turn around and it coming out in 2wd not trying. Be so cool to own one.
building it this capable is probably more expensive then getting it 🤣
steaL Matts.... just make sure it has gas lol
Would be, but I think there's exactly 1! Part of why I think there was 5 or 6 hundred thousand sub jump through the course of the build if I remember correctly. During the main explosion of the channel. They were on their way with their disposition and appeal so hard to say what was the biggest part.
He was in 4WD You can clearly see the front & rear tires spinning as he was turning around
@@speedfreak8200 huh?
Excellent recoverys guys....always a great video when Matt finds other people to ride along.....all working great together !!.,. Thanks for sharing this with us
Teamwork makes the dream work! Love how real you guys are! I am always praying for your safety. Keep up the great work you all are doing, while making the world a better place to live. One rescue at a time!
Gooooooooood MORRning everybody and thumbs UP to Matt and crew! 👍☀
YAY!🐿
Shhhhhh, it's too early.
@@JanelleVocate-Ames 👋 Gooooood morning! ☀
100% my eyes would have been shut tight during the drive back on that first rescue. And, yes, that’s why my husband drives in those situations 😂.
To be honest I love these videos in the mornings, It get my day going. Nice Smiles good attitude and they will get you out.
The Morrvair is still amazing. Steady climbing that hill backwards when turning around.
And again great teamwork.
Especially for Jaimy, driving on 2wd 😆👍💪
Oh Jamie, you were the only honest one! The tough guys were secretly glad that you were in the lead so they didn’t have to come up with an excuse for driving slowly. 😉
Nice to see you two working together awesome job!!!
LOVE YOUR VIDS MATT!Keep it up ,i can see the PASSION you have for doing this.I myself LOVE and see it as a game because your doing what YOU love!💪🏻Look-forward to seeing your vids, and i would absolutely enjoy being part of an extraction!🔥🔥
Thanks dad 🤣😂😂 Matt cracks me up!
Great recovery, Jayme you amaze me how brave you are.
How ironic that Jamie plays the 2wd game well after knocking Matt about it. :) Impressive cliff-side turn-around. Look at that FLEX!
and wheel rub when he stuffed the front end.
Another great video, Everyone gets a job, everyone contributes to the fun!! After watching towed vehicles being dragged with front wheels pointed in varying directions, I suggest a piece of tape on the steering wheel so drivers can tell when the wheels are straight. Its an easy cheat to help when being pulled especially in mud and snow, When its difficult to tell where the towed vehicles front wheels are pointed..
your skill in snow and mud is always surprising!
Nice job!! The double recovery in the snow was a bit tricky.. loved the turn-a-round!! Poor Jamie... I think the "ledge on the left" had her worried a bit!! LOL!!
Love Robby so positive and classy
THE THINGS MATT DOES WITH THE MORVAIR ARE TRULY UNBELIEVABLE. HE BUILT IT AND HE KNOWS WHAT IT WILL DO, OF COURSE MATT DOES PUSH THE LIMITS, LOL
Turn the caps off lol.
Having the experience driving on icy roads around NY and PA on a daily. I still get nervous driving on those kinds of roads.
Agreed that was the best turn around I have ever seen. Thanks for the videos, breaks up my day working from home
😂😂😂 Rhet's lil imitation of his mother's scream had me hollering.
Love seeing Robby here with Matt again. Saw him a lot on Heavy D lately due to the telehandler being stuck
Some of the best content on the web. Some of the only videos that I watch beginning to end. Keep up the great work and really looking forward to the Wrecker Games.
I suspect that Rory might have something to say about that turn around on the edge of the cliff, trying to do a front dig. :)
Not so unnecessary, either ! 👍🏻🇷🇴
@@clivehorridge I must have missed the front dig as I never seen him take it out of 4wd.
Sounds like being a Police Officer. Cool calm collected, then 90 seconds of terror. LOL
I always like watching Robby, HeavyD and Rory working with Matt and vice versa.
So I have a Cargo trailer that has been buried in 3 ft of snow since November. And I needed to get some things out of it. So after a great deal of hand shoveling and plowing with my ATV, I thought OK, I can do this. Still in a lot of deep snow but was able to maneuver my Jeep Liberty and hook it up. Put it in 4- wheel drive, on my first jerk, all 4wheels sunk in the deep snow, STUCK! Couldn’t go forward or backwards.. Ok so went in the house told my wife. We’re going to do a Matt’s recovery😜😜. So hooked up my Durango to my LIberty, using a Kinetic rope, well it was nylon😳 told my wife, OK you gotta do a “Jamie”😳. 2 jerks and we were out!! She did great. Learned it all from Matt, Jamie and Lizzy, and the rest of the guys. Thanks.
I find it fascinating to see such attention to detail. I would love to see more videos like this 🚘
ahh, back down every which way... Robbie throws Matt a gift then they try to drive off a cliff kinda a father-son bonding moment all the while Jamie is showing off unknowingly in two wheel drive. Great homesite location ending!!
Matt is ridiculously skilled. Great job.
LOVE the fishing flies hanging in the headliner!!!!🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣🎣. Rhett: Keep that seat belt buckled!!!!
Snow always makes the recovery far more sketchy!!
Love the edit on the drive to the second recovery. Brings in a little reality to the time its takes to get these videos and its funny
I thought for sure the Morrvair was going over the edge on that turn around! Very impressive!👍
The last recovery illustrates how much easier the recovery is when you call for help before you snap drivelines, blow transmissions, and engines.
The Moorvair is basically a SHERP at this point. If it's any indication of how well the Heavy Wrecker is built, we're in for a treat.
Great video and great job with the recovering and God bless from GA and stay safe 🙏 😊
Your son shows real potential for your job. Also, your wife is very watchable.
That morrvair turned out to be quite a crafty rig 💯💯💯 great recoveries guys. Thanks for helping out Robby👍
This RUclips channel is the best advertising you could have--it's amazing how many customers know about you from your videos.
It was a pretty good storm, most definitely.
Happened to be watching my phone just to see a matts off-road recovery video so that's probably the fastest I've clicked on a vid thanks for the great vids matt
Wow!!! 👍👍, what a ride that turn around was. AWESOME!!. down here in the south we get snow people panic, it's crazy how it's just another winter day there..
That Morrvair is one very impressively capable machine. Hats off to the very awesome job
As someone who also likes to play in the desert(with much less capable vehicles then morr drives) I can attest to the, “I’m not lazy, I do it for fun.” In reference to not locking in the hubs. Whenever a buddy calls because they got stuck I always make my best effort to get to them in 2-wheel drive. Almost as kind of a “haha you got stuck and I got here in 2-wheel drive!”
All in good fun 😂
100 percent. We would do that with buddies as well, event those in newer rigs that didnt need to lock hubs
some crazy people just want the challenge. never own a subaru lol
Awesome video great recoveries easy-peasy for the Moorvair!
Great driving, Jaime! Love seeing you in the videos! Also fun seeing Robby!
Jamie is sooo humble... she is one true off roader i know as a female driver ... i watch every single video of yours and i pretty much know how she drives ... and even Lizzy is getting better day by day .. and those u- turns she got to learn from matt...
That's turnaround was so well controlled! Robby always makes me laugh.
I know a MORR video is about to drop when Fab and Robby drop theirs, you guys have the same editors right? Or do you just agree on an upload time? Either way, I know when I see 1, 2 more great videos are about to appear. Love your work.
I turned my headphones off and stopped it playing on my iPad Pro here at this timeline. 6:56 The reason why is I had to think about this.
When is the last time I seen a turnaround this tight. I thought hard for several minutes, and I simply can’t think of one. I’m not saying I haven’t seen some tight turnaround’s I have.
But that one is absolutely without a doubt, hands-down, the tightest turn-around I’ve ever seen in my life.
And there was, at least, 2-separate times I honestly thought, and held my breath that he’s going to roll it over especially from the title where Matt says “a split second mistake!!”
I mean, I was nervous. Because it really did look like on those 2-separate occasions it would roll over. BRAVO 👍 MATT! BRAVO!! 👍
Kudos to Jamie. Driving at night, deep snow, in 2 wheel drive.
Then a bright light in the cabin to film, causes glare off the windshield.
My little interior light on at night stops me from seeing the road.
I think Jamie shouldn't give up her seat for Robby.
2:30 I'm proud of you Matt! !! !!!
I do like the cross channel adventures when ever it works out. Its fun to mix it up a bit, keep up the great work!
Very cool & easy ! I LOVE YOU ALL !! You are the best !!
Matt's driving skills make me feel like he's driving the Morvair like an RC car, I mean, how the hell do you see where you're going?
Robby bouncing between Matt and Heavy D lol. All the right friends
As usual Matt makes it look easy and always gets them out. Good job guys.
Is Matt feeling ok? He actually thought to get fuel
That's a Lizzy idea !
@@keithscudder7136 Jaymie, not Lizzy. Matt makes sure that there are no fuel issues when his co-owner is co-piloting.
Matt, you don't need click bait.
Wow. I haven't been bowling forever. My grandparents had 2 alleys in their small town poolroom...Pool Hall. Everyone called it the Poolroom. "Where you going; down to the Poolroom?" They started selling groceries when the local grocery store shut down in the 80s. Memoirs, from a small town [Central Saskatchewan] 😆😁☺
I agree. That turnaround was quite impressive.
never seen a better 73 point turn.
