I live in Rule Missouri lot of deer , 2008 Fall I picked up a 95 EVO road king stock pipes hit a deer , My 86 FLT had screamin eagle pipes no baffles deer ran from the sound of the bike , after fixing the road king put on a set of kerker exhaust supertrapp turndown no baffles deer run away , Sound travels at 1100 foot persocond , People say the sound is out the back of the bike , but if you hear a load bike you look for it coming towards you or behind you . Loud pipes save lives . Had a 1200 with drag pipes for the Ex wife she enjoyed the sound of her bike . people that complain about load pipes ride 200 miles a year , I ride 20,000 a year all winter summer spring fall .
how can I make my baffles sound good like that? I have a road king with reinhart baffles. they do not have insulation. do I make bigger holes on the baffles? any advice? my pipes are to quiet,
Thanks for the line up of RK's with different pipes, Here down in Australia, the cops would burn our ass's if we had most of these pipes fitted. Those 4" pigs on Joe Greer's RK sound bloody nice, but, a bit illegal here bugger it. Thanks. Teddy
5:36 - These are Wild Pigs Slip on mufflers with packing. I have the full video and I must say they are deep, throaty sound. I was going to change my pipes to these but decided to sick to my RC Components pipes on my Road King. No extremely loud but that deep throaty sound. Everyone ask me what pipes I have and like them.
I guess I'm in the major minority here, but all of these are just too obnoxious for my liking. I like a sound that's louder than stock, but courteous enough to every home owner I pass on my journey. I mean what right does one have to go blasting through the roads thinking "it's cool" when everyone you pass is holding their ears or having to wait until you're down the street to continue their conversation with a neighbor? I made my mind up long ago that I wouldn't be "that guy" every neighbor hates (and trust me, they do). I hear the argument that "loud pipes save lives". So, I guess every Gold Wing owner should be dead by now, if that's the case. Rant over.

Of all the real motorcycle manufacturers around the world. Only the American bike and their riders are so obsessed with the obnoxious RACKET from the exhaust from these chrome air compressors. One of the best reasons I will NEVER own one of those things.

There are laws here too on that but HD riders do it anyway. You only get a ticket if they catch you going by them. Lol

Not true at all,. I spent several years in Italy and the Italians love Harleys and the louder the better.
