Ok,I see people bashing him about the pipes moving and maybe touching the bag. I understand, but I'm guessing he was testing a couple of different pipes a day and just tightened them enough to make the videos.
Tab Bam stick with Zombie baffles sounded insane and the best. In my truck. I know it's not the same as in person. But man that was awesome!! Great job!!
I know they get a lot of hate and they aren’t ideal for making power, but the Cobra NH’s are some of the best sounding imo. Reminds me of an older muscle car note.
I bought Cobra Neighbor Haters and partially wrapped the baffles with muffler wrap. They cost $340.00 and sound as good as most slip Ons. The point is I didn't have to pay $600.00 to get the same thing.
I bought YAB Zombie baffles because of this video for my road glide & it sounds great. Unique enough to wher my brothers know it’s me when I’m pulling up. thank you 👍🏻
I was thinking about replacing the V&H TS slip ons that were already on my 2011 FLHTK when I bought it 3 months ago, but they sound as good as any of the pipes in this video, so I'll just keep them on the bike. Thanks for saving me money!
Khrome Werks 4.5 at the 6:50 mark in this video sounded the best, imo. Second favorite was Bassani DNT’s Thanks for putting this together. Very helpful
Agreee 100%. The rest all sounded pretty much the same. Too raspy and too much “braap” to them. If I wanted that sound, I’d just run straight pipe myself. That mellow muscle car sound is the bees knees.
Wow !! I appreciate all the work you put into this video thank you for doing that for all of us sound die hards !!! I’m not into speed or power I really loved the old sound from my 2014 and my 2007 cvo !! I really miss that ! Now I’m planing on buying a new one soon and will go back to this video and listen again before I buy pipes !! Thank you again for putting all your hard work and effort for us !!!
I just can't give up my old 2002 wide glide with twin cam 88. It's carbureted and sounds glorious! That thumping idle is worth being slower and less powerful than new M8 bikes to me. I'm not bashing the new sound of M8 engines...i just prefer the old choppy slow idle. Old skool baby!
Did you have to change the cam chain tensioners on your 2002? Like the sound of the previous motors also..not liking the M8. Thinking about getting one of the twin cam models. Which years do you recommend? Love the Wide Glide.
Thanks to this comment, I did this on my 19 street glide cvo and had a fine tune. (Aftermarket headers and neighbor haters). Best thing I ever did. Thanks
At 10:05 Rinehart Motopro 4.5" is what I run, with the Rinehart Slimline Duals Headers on my 2017 Road King and love the way they sound and perform. The video doesn't do them justice. I am considering swapping the baffles for the 2.5" DBX baffles to see how they perform and sound. Very pleased with the Rinehart exhaust.
Boneshakers all the way!!! I just got the Gen3s put on my bike about 5 months ago.. If u want loud and deep u got it!!!! Nice tone as well... I'm about to purchase the SVT Jackhammers which are even louder that the Gen3s.. I get a lot of compliments on how my bike sound.... I have a 08 Roadglide with Cobra True Duals
I love Rineharts but the best sounding pipes in my opinion are ThunderHeaders. Would love to hear that black bike you used with the cam for testing with thunderheaders!
Great video. I let a guy push the S&S MK 45’s on me instead of my tried and true Rineharts that are on my other bike. Will be changing to the Rineharts
Sure, we're big believers in sticking with what you like and if you prefer Rineharts that's what we would recommend. We stock them as well for the most part, so when you're ready to order let us know.
Wow, your wife told me that it was a new record. Generaly your done in 15 seconds. Sorry I lied, she said 10 seconds. ( im just kidding bro) Greetings from Holland.
My mk45's seemed too quiet to me so I pulled the entire muffler core out and cut 6 inches of the packing from the upstream end and reassembled them. They now sound much better. Quiet enough to sneak around the neighborhood but if I get after the throttle she sounds mean.
I had the zombies with bassanni 2x2 headpipe sounded great but just changed to vance&hines dresser duals with the same zombies now I'm very happy it is loud now and runs great
The distance & position of the mic/camera to the exhaust should have been the same for all.. so it's hard to make a decision, some are right behind others are towards the side, some further back.... I'm sure that affects the sound on this video.Thank you for the video. Every bit helps I still don't know what mufflers to get. I just bought a new Road Glide Special I need to get some sound. .
I've got an 18 a Road Glide Special with a Stage 3 build and Vance & Hines Power Duals headers with the V&H 4.5" HO muffler. Tuned with a PowerVision tuner and produces 123 TQ and 117HP and sounds like a beast. Only thing I'd do different is the Zippers 468 cam instead of the HD "torque" cam that comes with the build kit.
The 468 cam seems to be working pretty good, but you're definitely leaving some torque on the table. We're running right around 121 ft lbs reliably with a stock 107 and an S&S 465. Your exhaust combo could be changed up too if you really wanted to get the absolute max out of what you have, but if you're happy with the sound there's no need to go nut.
WestEndMotorsports I agree. I do tons of distance riding and some two up so I like having that under-ass torque in the hills. The combo of the headers and mufflers has a nice, low, deep rumble which is what I like. I understand the D&D 2 into 1 bounces up the numbers but I don't like the sound so it works for me. I like a low rumble at idle but a sound that rips hard when ya twist it!!! My friend has the same build with the Zippers cam and his numbers are 139.01TQ and 120HP. Curious if you have suggestions though????
@@richardedwin5980 The D&D we dyno'd on this bike was right in the middle of the pack, so in our opinion there's better options out there just for performance. The only difference between your friend's bike and yours is the Redshift 468? Am I reading that correct?
No catalytic converter. Losing the cats is the biggest change to the sound. I don't if they did or not for the demo, but you usually retune (remap) the bike when you put headers on. I had mine dyne tuned when I put the headers on and it was set to idle a little lower. Also, if the headers don't have a crossover pipe on them, you will get an idle more like the carb bikes.
Ok,I see people bashing him about the pipes moving and maybe touching the bag. I understand, but I'm guessing he was testing a couple of different pipes a day and just tightened them enough to make the videos.
Pretty much. Thanks Chris
Yerp... Awesome job and big thank you
WestEndMotorsports u we hbhhjjcd. j
Exactly...... Thanks for pointing that out Christopher.
Tab Bam stick with Zombie baffles sounded insane and the best. In my truck. I know it's not the same as in person. But man that was awesome!! Great job!!
Great video-all pipes, no talking.
It was nice to see such a large selection of exhaust demos
I'm just here for the sound of the beer can opening after every change of mufflers!!!!!!!!! :)
I know they get a lot of hate and they aren’t ideal for making power, but the Cobra NH’s are some of the best sounding imo. Reminds me of an older muscle car note.
I've always been a Rineheart guy and in this video in my opinion are one of the best sounding pipes kinda a toss up between them and the boneshakers!
Just put on my TAB Zombie pipes and what a great sound, love it.
Where did you get them from? Looking to putting them on.
Carlos Oviedo west end Motorsports
Just ordered the Tab BAM STICKS with zombie baffles after talking to someone there earlier today and watching this! Westend Rocks!
I have them and they are great
@@tintshopnc5552 I have since switched 😂
@@soldier09r the sound is nice.
I bought Cobra Neighbor Haters and partially wrapped the baffles with muffler wrap. They cost $340.00 and sound as good as most slip Ons. The point is I didn't have to pay $600.00 to get the same thing.
Yes I think the after market headers make all the difference
I bought YAB Zombie baffles because of this video for my road glide & it sounds great. Unique enough to wher my brothers know it’s me when I’m pulling up. thank you 👍🏻
The Rush Big Louie's are my favorite.
SVT Boneshakers...make my heart warm hearing em. ❤
I’m honestly between the rush big louies and the svt boneshakers myself
SVT Boneshakers for me. :-)
I love the pull tab sound at the start of each new pipe
4.5" Chrome Slip-On Mufflers Swiss Cheese Exhaust Pipes 2017-2020 Harley Touring.. great pipes
The RCX 4 sound was my favourite.
Just put Rineharts exhaust on my 2020 Road Glide Limited, headers, DBX 45's and a tune, damn it sure awakened things.
Took a lot of time and effort to do this. Thanks!
Thought the Rinehart classic 4" sounded best, but only one I liked the look of was V&H Twin Slash, classic chrome end slash look
You couldn’t ask for a better video than that great job anybody who bashes you has no clue. You can definitely make up your mind By using this video
Thanks Glen, we appreciate it and have plenty of customers who agree! Stay Safe.
That’s a fact !
Hi Glen. Great to catch a sighting of you out in the wild. Dave Breckenridge
Second favorite was Bassani DNT’s
Thanks for putting this together. Very helpful
Rode with a guy who had the Bassani Friday and they sound great.
I agree. The bassani dnt, s&s mk 45, and khrome werks were my favorites. I like that deep tone and a bit on the milder side
Agreee 100%. The rest all sounded pretty much the same. Too raspy and too much “braap” to them. If I wanted that sound, I’d just run straight pipe myself. That mellow muscle car sound is the bees knees.

Great video! Thanks for taking the time to share these different sounds. We greatly appreciate it.
You guys do the best exhaust videos, by far
My Bassani DNT with header and Stage 2. I must say nothing beats it. Sounds like a 70’s hot rod.
not a harley guy but those kerker stouts sound one of the best
I just can't give up my old 2002 wide glide with twin cam 88. It's carbureted and sounds glorious! That thumping idle is worth being slower and less powerful than new M8 bikes to me. I'm not bashing the new sound of M8 engines...i just prefer the old choppy slow idle. Old skool baby!

Idk what cam was in that bike but sure like the lope!
Thanks for making this clip. I'll be calling soon to order my big loui slip on
I bought rineharts luv them. S&s sounds pretty good to, my 2nd choice...
Phenomenal video!! Loved the beer pops on switching the mufflers 😂 the Cobra NH is gorgeous!
Freedom performance pipes are awesome as well...
Thanks for the video but it would have helped if you record it in full stereo. The sound only comes out of my left earpiece.
Cobra slip ons with stock headers my fav!
Moral of the story is dump the factory headers
You got it man.
Yes, lose that damn catalytic converter bullshit, it a power robber.
Thanks to this comment, I did this on my 19 street glide cvo and had a fine tune. (Aftermarket headers and neighbor haters). Best thing I ever did. Thanks
moral of the story is dont make an audio based video with sound only in one ear. Great video other than that though
Do you need a tune for aftermarket headers? Got a 17 ultra limited. Currently stock headers no mufflers lol
Bassanis are sick! and the TAB Bams with the zombie baffle, but Bassanis are SICK! Thatd be even more sick with an aftermarket header.
At 10:05 Rinehart Motopro 4.5" is what I run, with the Rinehart Slimline Duals Headers on my 2017 Road King and love the way they sound and perform.

For looks and sound , Rush gets my vote !
They all sound pretty badass
RCX 4.5 nice sound, can't go wrong with Rhinehart classics, V&H always good.
Yup 100%.

Awesome Ken, the Jackhammers are definitely picking up steam. They're a few weeks out.
Firebrand Loose Cannons sounds like a WRX deep smooth tone, awesome. This is the way.
Love the can opener haha
great video and education on the slip on market. love that you can hear them before you spend a bunch of money.
3:05 vs 4:29 vs 5:51 vs 7:05 for quiet pipes
cobra race \ Bassani dnt \ ss mk45 \ krome wekrs4.5
Super helpful! Best pipe comparison vid yet.
Thanks Carl!
Can't wait till my tab performance BAMs show up in the mail. Currently a 6 week backorder!!!
Great muffler comparison sound clip video!
I love Rineharts but the best sounding pipes in my opinion are ThunderHeaders. Would love to hear that black bike you used with the cam for testing with thunderheaders!
Curious why the right pipe always tweaks out when rev'ed? Great effort in getting all least pipes tested in one video!
Propably put on a lot of effort into this video. Tightening bolts would be even more hastle.
The new M8 Harley don't sound nothing like the older Shovelheads and Evo's with aftermarket exhaust.
amphibdriver1 - Because it’s not either of those, it’s an M8.
Great video. I let a guy push the S&S MK 45’s on me instead of my tried and true Rineharts that are on my other bike. Will be changing to the Rineharts

can't believe you didn't include CFR'S ?!?
What brand header is on the Boneshakers, tabs?
My mk45's seemed too quiet to me so I pulled the entire muffler core out and cut 6 inches of the packing from the upstream end and reassembled them. They now sound much better. Quiet enough to sneak around the neighborhood but if I get after the throttle she sounds mean.
Damn that Kerker Stouts was nice.
Those Kerkers sounded great, and that's coming from a guy who is a Rinehart fan.
Why is the can opening louder that some of the pipes?
Could you please do a M8 video
Currently running Bisani Headers and Forsh 4 1/2 Cintrificals.
It's not bad but could be a bit better when cruising.
I kind of like the S&S MK45's, most of them sounded pretty great though.
They're one of our best sellers, you're definitely not alone there.
I have the mk45 and they are deep and loud. Tons of compliments from other riders. I also have the s&s headers, arlen ness big sucker, and fp3 tuner.
Hi noticed that the sound significantly was better was aftermarket headers. Can you give me the brand of the headers.
Thanks for the nice work ✌️
I have tabs with zombie baffles on stock headers and it sounds just as good
I had the zombies with bassanni 2x2 headpipe sounded great but just changed to vance&hines dresser duals with the same zombies now I'm very happy it is loud now and runs great
I run American Custom on my trike but the Kerker stouts have my money.
Excellent comparison, great effort
So the cat converter is in the actual header pipes? Whereas with say the softail deluxe, it's in the muffler itself?
Exactly.
09:45 The right slip on looks like it touches the bag as you rev it.
It looks really close and then seems to actually touch it!

Soothing relaxing music
Totally immersed! Bike magazine, coffee and a slipon comparo as background music!
That sound is just crazy 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Thank you. Big help to community. 👌🏾👌🏾
In 2019 we use stereo headphones...
Max M. For real! Mono, left channel only? And the can opening sound during the transitions is like something a high schooler would do in 2001.
lololol I thought my head phones were junk lolol

Awesome video, and helpful for decision making. Personally I like the V&H or the bassani DNT. Thanks.
Thanks Joe. Glad you saw something you liked.
Well done, video! Firebrand Loose Cannons, Bassani DNT's and the Cobra Race Pros sound best, imho
We need the names of these “aftermarket headers” please
They're RCX tormentors, here's the video we did on them as well: ruclips.net/video/6x73rsfSGW4/видео.html
What aftermarket headers did you use?
Rineharts at 9:40
what headers are used on the tab performance zombie
Hey there. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan!!!!!!!. I like the sounds of these exhaust systems. What a lot of exhausts.
Nice vid. Question though, can ground pounders exaust be installed on Harley bikes?
You need to record those in stereo. Hard to really hear what they sound like when you're wearing headphones. Just say'n. Great video. 👍
Good video man, thanks !!!
The classic Rhineharts 👍🏻
SVT BONESHAKERS TAKE IT !!!! HANDS DOWN !!!!

WestEndMotorsports yessir. Just a different cam.
WestEndMotorsports same dealership. Same master tech. Same dyno.
Why is the Aftermarket headers changing the sound that much? it sounds Like the bike runs slower (less rpm) in idle... like a carburated one or so
No catalytic converter. Losing the cats is the biggest change to the sound. I don't if they did or not for the demo, but you usually retune (remap) the bike when you put headers on. Hi output sounds the best
Rinehart true duals sound unbeatable imo
That's what I have on my 07 Electra I love them super nice crackle when you let off nice deep rumble no musif needed
What motor did the bike in this video have? Was it the M8 or old twincam?
M8
Loose cannons are the best of all even with headers
Big Bore Baffle for the win 🏅
Is this m8 cammed? Sounds different then most lol.
Those still sound great!
what headers were used? and why do Harley stage heads not do the trick? Is there a mapping available with after market headers no CAT?
When replacing stock headers do you lose low end or gain.? Just thinking about back pressure
What kind of aftermarket headers are on thr Cobra Neighbour Hater?
We use the RCX tormentors in all our videos.
