Thank you very much lads! That plaice could already be the fish of the year for me. There’s something about big flatties that we love. Thanks for watching and keep up the fantastic content 🎣
Great session lads. Been hanging out for your next video, so you know we’re keen fir your content. Thanks for the efforts. Not jealous of the bin lid flatty at all.
Eazy lloyd and phill , great stuff to see you bk with another cracking vid . Wow what a session and after traveling all that way you couldn't of wished for it all going to happen that way. All the best lads from a very windy north east GRIMSBY.
Welcome to Brighton - my local area! This year I shall be going for a few plaice with some experimental baits - Already caught 2 (accidentally) so there's plenty about. Not even the season yet! Will be reporting at a later date. You would hardly believe it but the sand used to start at the round bit of the 'Banjo' groyne . As a schoolboy we fished off it at night! 1970ish😆
Excellent when you have a session like that after a long drive, makes it all the better on the way home. Some really nice Plaice there, well done👍🏻 Looking forward to the next one🎣
Lovely video with some cracking fish...imagine some of them were plump fish 🐟 😀 two for the table would have been sweet 😋...Nice to see another video guys very chilled and simple fishing, hope to see some gower marks on here through the summer as that will get alot of views👍 😁
We like to keep it simple and concentrate on being in the right places for the right tides and with quality baits. Sea fishing doesn’t need to be complicated. We’d love to get a few gower sessions in this year. Let’s see what the future brings 👍🏼
I'm a huge fan of the channel and live down south so Brighton is local to me however I'll probably wait a few more weeks to get down there until the plaice have plumped up a bit Also I'm in Wales first week in April for a family holiday in trecco bay so I'll definitely be dusting off the gear for a few sessions around there Thanks again loved it
Well done lads .. Great video .gutted I missed meeting you down there . Any more plans for another trip? Also always wondered where you park so cheers for showing that 👍
Yes it’s a shame you couldn’t make it pal. We should be able to make a few trips along the south coast this year so hopefully we’ll all meet up soon 👍🏼
Another good video and great info. It is a shame the fish didnt have more weight on them. A question for you about the Shock leader. I see that you use a leader with very little stretch in it. Would you pass on the make of that line for me please, Even a pretty please if that would help. I am a Multi man and dont want to go down the fixed spool route and Braid. Cheers and beers to both of you.. Andy
hi great vid just found your channel so subbed of course, good to see you using power gum stop knots. iv'e never liked the idea of crimps on nylon and it makes the rig much more versatile, also you can use mono for stop knots at a push. tight lines
Like we said, we know a few anglers who have used it for a long time. Doesn’t damage the line like a crimp and the adjustment is very handy. The only downside so far is the time it takes to tie a rig compared to crimping. But I think it’s worth it. Cheers!
Hi Scott, no expert but I believe they’re early in the year at Brighton, catching in Jan feb and march. But also heard they’re about all summer but maybe in smaller numbers. Chesil have a run of fish in April and may and then again in late summer/autumn
What a cracking trip, well worth your effort.Fair play on putting them all back. Not sure if I missed it, but what hooks did you use and did you need grip weights at all 🎣🐟
To be honest we were hoping to keep one or two each because they are so nice to eat. But with them being so thin at the moment it makes sense to give them a chance and hope we get a few plump ones in the summer and autumn. Phil used Varivas Saltwater Champions in a size 3 and I believe Lloyd used size 2 Sakuma Mantas. Phil tried a gripper for a few casts when the tide was dragging him too far towards others but the flat lead was more productive. Thank you for watching Kevin 🎣
Agree and disagree on this, I think sometimes beads/attractors can make a massive difference. The same applies for leads. Strangely enough I didn’t catch a fish whilst using pink leads but had everything on a green one. Same for the beads. 1 fish to pink, lots to green and black. Thanks for watching 🎣🎣
Nice video chaps and a great session - that big’un was a cracking fish! 😊🎣
Thank you very much lads! That plaice could already be the fish of the year for me. There’s something about big flatties that we love. Thanks for watching and keep up the fantastic content 🎣

My choice of shockleader is rovex 10x generally in 80lb but the stock is slowly running out. I don’t know what to go to next!
Fair play boys quality video as always 👏
Thanks for watching as always mate
Nice session
I heard there’s a few bandits in Brighton already
We won’t go there 😂. Cheers Lee!

Thanks buddy, Nice and warm. Best shop worker sorted me out 👍👍
Very nice session. And very nice fishermans. On which day you got that laky?
We fished there on the 3rd of March. Thank you for watching
Think you guys are catching all the fish before they head north
There are plenty left out there!
EXCELLENT
Thanks Robert!
Have you heard of the powerdolphin by powervision? serious piece of kit. Nice catch
We haven’t heard of that but we’ll be looking in to it that’s for sure. Thanks for watching
Top video 👍🏻 what time of the year can you catch plaice?
Hi Scott, no expert but I believe they’re early in the year at Brighton, catching in Jan feb and march. But also heard they’re about all summer but maybe in smaller numbers. Chesil have a run of fish in April and may and then again in late summer/autumn
@@BanditFishingUK i fancy a bit of that, thank you for the reply, appreciate it 👍🏻
Hi what reel are you using and size .great vid
Great stuff boys, could i just ask how far u were casting to catch them?
Great vid !
Thanks Robert. We were casting as far as possible which was consistently over 100 yards on this day
What a cracking trip, well worth your effort.Fair play on putting them all back. Not sure if I missed it, but what hooks did you use and did you need grip weights at all 🎣🐟

@@BanditFishingUK Thanks for your reply,I must admit I’ve found it makes a difference if you can use a plain one 🐟🎣
It might be the movement that attracts them or it may be the fact it simply covers more water. But they certainly liked the moving baits 👍🏼
Great session lads, what conti rod are you using?
Colmic Primaira NX GEN in a 4.6 metre is Lloyd’s choice of rod in this video 👍🏼
Hi fellas, what month was this please ?
Hi Wayne. This was 3rd March 2022 to be exact. Good luck if you get out 👍🏼🎣
@@BanditFishingUK I am local, good video fellas 👍
Nice video ladies
Cheers Dean 😂
Great video. What continental rod are you using?
Hi Martin, it’s a Colmic Primaira NXGen
Is there an equivalent you would recommend as unfortunately I can’t find that rod available anymore?
Nice Brighton accent ha ha ha boy o.
Beads and bling catch anglers try fishing with beads and no bait
Agree and disagree on this, I think sometimes beads/attractors can make a massive difference. The same applies for leads. Strangely enough I didn’t catch a fish whilst using pink leads but had everything on a green one. Same for the beads. 1 fish to pink, lots to green and black. Thanks for watching 🎣🎣
