    NOTES
    - The exact relationship between Frontier Hunters and the Main Guild, as well as where Mezeporta is specifically, are up in the air. Most evidence does point to it being in Dundorma however, and nothing said in this video conflicts with the little information that we currently have.
    - Terosu is the name of the Jungle. In my videos, I assume it is also the name of the Region its situated in (the eastern edge of the Old World) but that is mostly a convenience thing, there is no real basis for it besides that it isnt contradictory to what we know and it makes scripting easier.
    - Espinas' exact relation to Diablos isnt clear - all we know is that they are "very closely related". To me, the only way that works is if Espinas is part of the Carapace Wyverns, which is where Diablos and Gravios are canonically situated.
    - The name "Sail Dragon" is my invention: The group that Chameleos belongs to is officially called "Unknown". There are a few of those and I tend to change them.

      Same. Honestly would make a lot of sense to me. The idea of the Hunters Guild being the only large hunting group to me is slightly laughable if not a bit lofty. I can see many smaller groups or large groups of similar goals existing. In my head cannon the idea of smaller groups of hunters and researchers likely exist outside the guild, and thus it’s rules. But Frontier being a Sister Faction to the guild is something I do adore.

    I have a theory that Astalos has a particular taste for Nercylla as a potential prey item and is probably the only creature a Nercylla truly fears; just like real world Tarantula Hawk Wasps go after Tarantulas.
    The former could easily use it's thunder element against the giant spider, who is weak to thunder element. In addition Astalos could like eating Male Seltas too

    • @TheMasterofBlu
      @TheMasterofBlu Год назад +10

      Given their confirmed preference for vespoids (and logically bnahabras too, but I can't remember which one is in his ecology video (the one where he's eating a bunch of bugs on a rock then proceeds to maul a v-prey for no reason in classic astalos fashion)) this isn't too far fetched honestly. But with astalos' general behavior of "kill all of the things all of the time", being a preferred prey item or not probably wouldn't change much if they were to encounter eachother

    Since starting from world then playing GU and Rise, Espinas is probably my new favorite fire element monster in the series. An interesting thing about Risen Chameleos is that it indeed discards any sense of "goofiness" it might have had. Before the Qurio infection, it's a prankster at worst, perhaps not caring that its "games" cause serious harm. But the infection, IMHO, twists Chameleos into something outright sadistic. It may very well _enjoy_ causing pain and suffering, as its even greater aggression might actually be a desire for combat.

  • @BanchoYumeno
    @BanchoYumeno Год назад +1

    To the Story about Kushala and which is the Factor for taking him out of the Region.
    I think it is the other Way around and Espinas is the Factor and not Chameleos.
    Kushalas is known using this Region for shedding it skins here and in thsi chases Kushala is pretty subsceptible so he has to "clear" the Area from Threats which are able to attack him in this Phase. Thats why are Kushalas become so aggressive and attack sometimes Human Villages too.
    Yeah Chameleos is an Elder Dragon with strong Capabilities, BUT this Capabilites are made to avoid Fights and not for take them. In front of an Threat Chameleos using his Mist in first Position to hide from it and this works for most of Opponents, but Kushalas Ability to create massive gusts of wind should outplay the Mists by blasting its away so Chameleos isn't able to hide from Kushala. So Chameleos needs a new Ability to keep Kushala away, and thats maybe why Chameleos develop such an venomous Toxin. It acts as a deterrent like a nuclear warhead for Kushala.
    On Point Chameleos simply isn't a Predator like most of the other Members of its Class (and maybe the Reason why so many underestemate them) and they have no Ability for Combat, no Armor and they are not agile. Chameleos has up to date NO Turf War with any other great Monster which simply shows that.
    Espinas on the other Hand is a Predator and was pressured by Kushala to, but different to Chameleos Espinas wants to check Kushala and that should make the Difference. Espinas Capabilities are made for Combat. He has a Strong Armor, pysical strengh and even Fire Balls who are venomous too. Yes this Toxin isn't as strong as that of Chameleos but this isn't needed, its strong enough to make a difference to set Espinas in the Position to win the Fight. And Espinas doesn't only "hold it's own against a Kushala" in the Turf Wars, he wins them! Every Time...
    And Flaming Espinas shows that in this Species slumbers the Power to outdone Elder Dragon Class Threats.
    An other Point why i think Espinas is the Factor. Kushala and Chameleos live in so many other Regions side by side too, even cold Regions which are known for Kushals sheddings its Skins there too. The Jungle is one of a few Regions where these applies too for Espinas.
    It is one Thing to have the Capabilies to Face an Opponent, another to have the WILL to.
    I hope you can follow my thoughts. :3
    Greetings

    Just a thought, but couldn't the ambient humidity and water levels present in the jungle have also contributed to kushala leaving the locale? Yaknow, since water and humidity usually lead to rust, and the constant vulnerability of being in a post-shed state could've made the kushala more easily weakened/dispatched of by other competing species, aswell as the ancient humans of the area? Ofcourse the the question tises of if the conditions of the jungle lead to this vulnerability, then why would the kushala go there, but that could be because of resource abundance, plenty of food, and shelter in a jungle, right? Idk just a little hypotheses 😂

    It makes me so sad how poorly espinas was handled in rise. He isn't unique like he was in Frontier. He's literally another rathian, but poisonous this time.

    I don't like Espinas, but I guess I'm the only one. It's basically just the two rath sex merged together. Even in appearance it's very similar. With the cool factor added "Oh it can repel an Elder Dragon!".

      It was a lot cooler in frontier. He had extremely unique behavior, and would literally ignore you waking him up until you did enough damage and even then he'd just walk around barely caring until you truly angered him. He was also way harder. Rise ruined him.

    So Frontier Hunters what you meant by that is having long weapons and short weapons, right? Like you have a very long Greatsword or vice versa
