Me personally, I really want to see ornithischians in the large monster roster. Most dinosaur based monsters like the brute wyverns and bird wyverns are based on theropods, think T-Rex, raptors, etc, and those not purely based on them only have a few features from other dinosaurs groups, like Diablos’ triceratops horns and grill for example. I think it would be neat to have a class of large monsters properly based on herbivorous dinosaurs like triceratops, stegosaurus, ankylosaurus, etc, being quadrupedal (or mostly quadrupedal if hadrosaurs are included) and heavily armoured. Going off of the new herding/ pack hunting mechanic some monsters in wilds have, these monsters could also be herd animals, with hunters needing to separate them from their herds in order to hunt them.
I think this would work great with nergis skeleton if you cut off the wings i always thought banbaro would of been so much cooler (i know its not a dinosaur) if it was quadrupedal instead
Great video! The crab with coral and barnacles on it would be an amazing designed monster that I would love to see in wilds, I’m also hoping Gobul returns! [Tip: I recommend you write a script or so, makes it easier to put out all of the info you want to say in a clearer tone while also leaving out all the excess of repetitive commentary. Also its just nice to write a page every now and then. :)]
Caeserber doesn’t use the bear Fanged Beast skeleton it the monkey one like Slicemargl, also he’s the only early game monster with a unique theme and it has a enraged version. 2:17 Gonngenn Hermitaur from MHO uses explosive crystals on his claws.
TBH I don't see your point on the Zamuza armor. There's Garangolm that basically creates armor on his arms for offence and Shara that does so for defence There are also monsters that react to their surroundings to some extent too. IIRC Pukei's spit can have additional properties depending on what it eats, and Tigrex's triple boulder shot - thingy applies statuses if you're in water or snow (and same probably works for other monster with similar attacks), but most improtantly that's THE gimmick of Congalala afaik (you even mention it later in the video) On Malfestio I was actually thinking about a Potoo based monster, when it was announced that Wilds goes open-world, with a similar ambiance-monster idea. I definitely think we need more monsters based on birds of prey and having elements of owls or potoos would be great, as well as adding non-raptorial bird wyverns Overall I agree that more variety would be great, but Capcom is very cautious of adding mammalian looking monsters into the series, so both Pokaradon and Caesarber don't have many chances of reappearing. I do NOT mind them being clones tho. I think if we don't get a Ludroth, but a very similar monster, different because of the ecology of the area is more than a valid path to take as in a way it mimics irl ecological niches
More monsters and concepts from Frontier would be great, especially adding more Origin species given we're in the Forbidden Lands investigating an extinct species.
You should watch someone fighting Taikun Zamuza (all 3 phases, Taikun suffers from dying too early and not getting to phase 3) oh oh and Zenith Taikun and Zenith Daimyo (this one can use explosive powder) Online monsters are off limits cuz theyre owned by Tencent Pokarodon funnily enough only has 2 to 3 moves he shares with Royal Ludroth, he has a lot of unique moves for himself 😊
Figured as much with Online, that's a shame that they're off limits. But yeah, I guess the fight footage I saw with Pokarodon just used those few shared attacks enough that it just stuck with me. Also doesn't help that I fought Royal Ludroth semi-recently lol. I have seen Zenith Daimyo though, I do appreciate the giant explosive crab.
Thank you so much for this list. I get so tired of people putting out their lists and it's always the exact same monsters as everyone else Also im hoping they bring Frontier monsters in as well. The new fire monkey monster looks like a rework of Voljang
One detail I wish for Malfestio would be that if you find it during the day time it would be sleeping somewhere, in on top of a branch like you said would be nice. While in the night it would move around just to keep to Owl thing going on.
i am still early in frontier but i dont understand why people be glazing the crab i do hope he comes back in wilds because that would be pretty peak for a focus mode oriented monster
Pokaradon is one of those monsters that are such fresh idea & unique concept it begs the question of why it hasn't been brought into mainline yet. Seriously, it's an aquatic fanged-beast/mammal monster that's awesome!
Hot springs and active geothermal areas can and do exist in colder climates. I don't see a reason on why they can't easily add a species of moss that has a rather violent method of spreading their spores to grow in those warmer areas of a tundra/glacial biome.
@@marmyeater Well I also wanted to go for ailment combos instead of elemental dmg, since I think it'll be interesting to fight a combo of sleep/blast or poison/paralysis.
if only they think about real life based stuff to make the monsters feel more unique. rather just fighting the same 2 - 6 same monsters in one game each thing. should add some things like in the video. if a few monsters are in different areas there's a chance they would do something else for defense or attack. like those jungle areas if there's a monster that makes fire. if you happened to be close to a tree the fire would burn it down and you have to keep away from it untell it burns out. and there's some mud areas there should be more monsters that can splash around mud. that would be cool to see that some monsters that are actually smart on doing that stuff. giving more of a feel of a good hunt with weak and strong monsters. but at the sametime it would make those games harder or longer to beat. I mean if they actually did all of that with there 1st games. people would say they're just as hard as demon's/dark souls games.
Do you have a script for the video? It sounds a lot like you're just recording raw and it adds a lot of unnecessary stuff and makes the video longer , spreading it's message thin over it's bloated length. Not trying to be negative, just genuinely think it'll be better for your channel and your viewers if you work on your presentation a little more
It happens, just with growth and time small RUclipsrs like him and I tend to put more effort into scripting, editing, voicing etc. as time goes by. It’s just a progressing factor that everyone goes through I’m sure of. Although like you said, I would recommend everyone who’s just making a content-opinion based video make a script beforehand as it saves time for those certain types of viewers who get bored rather quickly, he’s not bad tho for a small RUclipsr, shi I don’t think I could ever say everything I want in 1 take without stuttering horribly 🥲
interesting video, just a few corrections: cephadrome and plesioth are piscine wyverns, not leviathans, and mizutsune is a weird lizard but i think it has a lot of mammalian features , so pokaradon wouldnt be thaat unique, but it would still definetly be the most mammalian out of the leviathans
Malfestio looks like it would easily belong in the Scarlet Forest in Wilds.
If Malfestio ISNT in the SF, I might tweak

@ I think Banbaro’s supposed to be based off pachycephalosaurs.

The Crab look has part Rotten vale on him or fungus growing on him similar to Blackvail Val Hazak.

Pokaradon is one my favorite monsters, and its massive compared to R. Ludroth, and those pitfall attacks are hilarious

3:14- How would you have explosive moss in a glacial area? Wouldn't that just be ice?
