An impressive & diverse selection of sidecar rigs. Some were hits while others I felt were misses. Which is really just saying that there's a lot of variety out there and to each his own.Thanks for the presentation.

I was investigating the fitment of a small camping trailer on the sidecar chassis. I'm certain that it could bs done.

@@kimhicks8443 My idea was to convert the existing sidecar where it could extend forward & rearward so the seat could then lay flat to make a bed. You may also be able to adapt a dedicated motorcycle camper trailer such as the Bunkhouse. Those rooftop/fold-out tent setups which have become popular with the off-grid outback SUV types may also be considered. Although the width may be prohibitive.

I have always considered a sidecar chassis to be the perfect platform on which to construct a compact, highly insulated camping module!
With an elevating roof or slide out side panels to increase the internal accommodation whilst minimising the module size for travelling, it would be a safe, secure, miniature travel cabin providing a restful camp after the day's adventures.
There is an insulated module attached to a Ural that attended the Elephant Rally which looks to offer welcome accommodation to its rider, far better than tent camping.
With the lightweight and immensely strong materials available today, a module could be constructed which weighs very little yet offers remarkable accommodation in hostile environments and weather.
In this one is limited by imagination only...

As a concept, agreed. But increasing need for certification/compliance means that one-off builds can be difficult to legally get 'on the road' (especially in places where 3rd party insurance is compulsory). I suspect that some of the vehicles shown were for Show use only.
