Nice work. There are some sacrileges (to me) like the front turn signals, the seat and that "accessory" on the Krauser bags. Other than that, a very, very nice work!
Por fuera ha quedado genial ¿Pero comop estará por dentro? una recostruccion completa debe incluir losm interiores del motor y del grupo de transmision.
I have to wonder if he tore down the top end and just didn't show it. As a former BMW owner and racer I know that BMW Boxers are the easiest to tear down to check riings valves and pistons. Now he may have for gone doing it because it was a low mileage bike but there was not mention of it in the video. I loved seeing a old work horse put back on the road.
Were any of the engine bearings, seals or bushes renewed? Seems more of a wash and brush up with a few service parts changed rather than what I would class as a full restoration? In the UK a full resto is a strip down to every nut and bolt on frame and engine with every bush bearing and seal renewed, frame and tinwear stripped to bare metal and resprayed and, depending on condition the spokes are often changed too!!!
Narrator: "Determined to use all original parts". Immediately replaced turn signals with new bullet style. "Cleaned and painted the tank"- buffed but not painted. Not faulting the restorer but the narration doesn't match.
There is a lot of needless editing in this video. Also, I am pretty sure that I remember the electric knife bit. Either I time traveled or this has already been published.
Thanks for showcasing our R80/7 restoration. Head over to our channel and check out this full build and many others!
Sure thing! --> www.youtube.com/@BayCityRestorations
All of it is interesting
Bravo Mike! Quite the artist!
Restoration with love 👍
Did you actually manage to polish out dents on the tank.? Still loved this restoration and beautiful finish..!!
Wonderful work!!
Sehr schön gemacht: Well done !!!
great bike!!!
It sure is!
I would have loved to hear that wonderful sound of the Boxer engine.
Very good job, boy !
Done with love or a quick flip?
This is not a restoration and is simply a clean up!
This is not a restoration- it’s a re-spray! What about the engine internals? Obviously they were all perfect!
Get this guy to be CEO of BMW.
Gracias por no modificarla
Nice wash
Thank you! Cheers!
Kondisi yang masih sangat bagus untuk motor tahun tua 😊
Salam kenal dari Indonesia 🇮🇩
So the engine was just cleaned?
I had this same bike. Put R100 jugs on ot and mocked it up like a R90S. Put a crap load of miles on it. Best motorcycle I ever owned..

*Hi*

That tank wasn't stripped at all, just polished.
My favorite part of the post is not saying how much this restoration cost.

Agreed and the voice is super annoying. The guy has probably never ridden a motorcycle.lol!
Not a big fan of the seat restoration, the original design in my opinion has more character, the rest is very good !
SUPER GEMACHT
Why is the BMW roundel showing BMW backwards at 10:18 ?

Німці,в яких комуняки вивезли обладнання і документацію, відтворили виробництво мотоциклів BMW. І наші,в яких все було,перепинили виробництво МТ.
Peccato per le frecce anteriori e la discutibile sella….
Nice job of reusing all the original footage and adding idiotic voice over and subtitles.
Poor thing was "rode hard and put away wet" as they say on this side of the pond...
Show the work, sorry thumbs down.
Not that impressed.
