I think I understand what you're saying. If we think of each card as representing a life lesson or a task to be accomplished, then the court card can describe the type of lesson to be learned. We might do the learning for and by ourselves; but it might be that someone enters our life who symbolizes the lesson and so we should pay attention to our thoughts and feelings about this person because they will help us develop our own selves in important ways. What do you think?
Family members are different because they are family and you have things to do with theme and you do things because you are closely connected with them. The reason for payment is for there to be a barrier between you and people who are strangers, or not close, and who never will be close. It just keeps things cleaner and better and everyone can live their own lives and learn their own lessons without it getting too complicated.
That depends what you mean by "Ego". I don't lilke to use the term because it may have a specialized meaning, and that can lead to problems in understanding. I tend to use "ego" as someone';s big-headedness. I like the idea of Court cards as other people with certain characteristics, or as roles that we play in life. When I'm impatient in the grocery store, I'm the Knight of Swords. When I'm beginning an art class, I'm the Page of Coins, for example.
I'm not sure how this could be done, or how much interest there would be from other people in the events of this person's life. If someone tells me the cards they got in a reading FOR THEMSELVES, maybe I could give an interpretation of those cards Or, I could do a reading, but as I mention in one of the videos, there is karma so you have to pay me a dollar or two - doing readings for free is asking for trouble. My teacher taught me this and I am a good student and quite obedient.
You could think to yourself: Is this court card another person? Pick a card. Upright = yes; reversed = no. People can be co-workers we see daily for years; but they can also be people we sit beside on a train or a bus just one time, but they say or do something that has a huge impact on us and our understanding. They can inspire or deflate us. The court can can indicate a five-minute meeting with someone. Maybe pick another card for details about the person and his or her importance.
John - that was sooo good. Loved the bit at the end. At the same time, eg celtic cross: would the 'supporting cards' need to be near the Page to have that impact? What if you had more then 1 court card? How would you know which those cards supported? Sorry not sure if that made sense lol
Not much room to reply. It's not so much being near, but pointing in the same or a supporting direction. So King of Coins but no other coin cards, but cards showing control and domination and stability would help the King do what he has to do.
John, can a court card represent both a person in the querents life, as well as what it stands for and be applicable to the querent as such? Hope that makes sense
It might show a person, but I like to give the questioner three possibilities since it can be more than one thing. Let's say the card is the King of Cups. So you can say to the questioner, if this court card is you, then be like this King and take charge, but be considerate of others; etc. However, the card might also represent someone else, so this person would be older and established and a bit moody at times, and so on. The card can also show a condition or a situation, so you may have to deal with a situation where it isn't clear who is in charge (King) or about protecting people's feeling and sensitivity. So if you tell the questioner the card can be you, or someone else, or a condition to be dealt with, then they will recognize it when they see it. If you say it's just someone else, then they may lose out by not applying the lesson to themselves and learning to live better, and so on, depending on the question. Hope this helps.
thxs There is so much to learn its a bit overwhelming. I will probably always have to look up the meaning of the cards, but being able to understand them properly will be great.
tina myra Dear Tina: It can be useful to remind ourselves that the reader doesn't have to know absolutely everything. We can give the questioner a few possibilities and let them meet one or more of them in their life - you are allowed to use the word "maybe". So this Page is you, maybe, or someone else, maybe, or a situation, maybe - or it can be all three and you, the questioner, will know how to deal with each of them when you meet them.

Very informative and detailed. Thank you so much for your insights.
Thankyou - I'll give it a whirl and see how it goes. I never think to pick other cards to explain cards or get y/n answers.
I think it makes sense...so maybe a c card can mean both at the same time?

I just realized that here's what I had asked for in my letter earlier. What a fool I've been :) Anyway, very interesting, thank you very much!
Thank you
thx!
Does a court card always represent a person?
