I seriously believe you are the MODERN version of Hints from Heloise!!! …. I’m enjoying these personal info videos as much as any gardening video you share with us….the thing I love most…is you teach us we don’t have to spend a lot of money to look and or feel amazing!!! ~ We are all greatly benefiting from your kind and generous spirit!!! 🌷🌷🌷
@@maryjomathews4749 How very true!! 😆 Heloise, just like Linda, both sharing ideas that make our lives so much better…and in Linda’s case a LOT more interesting as well! ♥️
I loved finding out about the laundry detergent pods. In meditation it came to me recently that each one of us can be guided to do things that will help steward the planet. I've always felt that the plastic containers that laundry detergent comes in are wasteful. I'm very happy to know about this alternative! TY, Linda!
When I was a little girl, my uncle owned an envelope factory that made business envelopes. His factory was located in downtown San Francisco and one of the great joys of my life was when he would take us there on a weekend and let us pick up as much paper as we wanted. Every color under the sun was represented and we would pick up rainbows of paper and make little books and use them for artwork. I was really into origami at the time and so it was so fun to have all those different papers.
I'm definitely a pen & paper type of person as well! I love all things stationary! The strictly functional & the stuff that's more pretty than functional! 😁
I love the clear hoop earrings, and the green gloves. I must say I was surprised to learn that your lipstick of choice is Wet and Wild. I do love the color you are wearing in this video.
Linda, honestly you would look good in drapes! You're simply beautiful inside and out. Green is my favorite color and I can't wait to order my green leather gloves.
Are you remembering Scarlett O’Hara’s green drapes/ dress? Or maybe Carol Burnett’s version? In either case, Linda could wear them and look fashionable. A little fun!😍
You’re sweater is just darling. I hope flouncy never goes out of style. It’s so feminine and fun to wear. I remember flouncy/ruffled sleeves from the 80s and it was fabulous then as it is now.
I love these self-help products and the skin care product videos. Love love them. Linda, my Great Grandson got into some Oklahoma poison oak. The Dr recommended using Dawn Dish soap to relieve the rash and itch. Such good information!!!
Linda, enjoyed the video. Could you do a video on what your meditation looks like ? What do you do, read, whatever. I’m sure others might be interested too.
Loved the video. The sweater is adorable. I buy jeans from Old Navy. They fit great and the price is great too. I really love this type of video. We all learn about new things. Please keep them coming.
I have had that exact model of B&D vacuum for years and didn’t know until your video that the crevice cleaner extended. Learn something new everyday! Thank you!
Love your home looks so tidy and organized can you share your how often you do cleaning chores ? Do you have a daily schedule would love to know Thank you 🌷
Another fun video! Can you talk about your bar setup? It looks interesting and I’d love to know what deliciousness you create from the various bottles.
Wonderful video! Every video you make is phenomenal! Your beautiful inside and out! Thanks for sharing again. Hope the items & companies you suggested realize you are bragging about them. It is a great source for us. 🥰
I too purchased a Black and Decker dust buster about 6 months ago and love it. There are 2 main reasons I went with this choice. Black and Decker has been making quality tools since 1910 AND the attachments are attached! The extension is pull out and the brush you can flip up or down. Now I wonder how I did without it. It's a great choice!
Love all of your tips I didn’t know that about Dawn I’ll remember that. Love your sweater and earrings. Thank you for always sharing your tips 👍❤️ from SoCal.
I have been watching you since last summer and you certainly have brightened each week! I ordered your book after watching you for a few episodes and can't wait til it arrives. Love the favorite products info. I like that many of the products are earth friendly and cruelty free. Having said that I just want to let you know that the inexpensive leather gloves that come from China are made from dog and cat skin. The animals are kept in little cages, neglected and usually skinned alive because it is believed that their meat tastes better if they suffer a horrible death. It is an awful situation and I hope that this helps you find a different item with which to to treat yourself. This is only meant to inform not criticize. I think you are fabulous!
Thank you Beverly, you said it so nicely. I love Linda too! Linda you are amazing! I hope you will find an alternative to leather items that will bring you the greatest joy. Sending you lots of love
I use Dawn, white vinegar and water in a spray bottle that I use for everyday cleaning, especially in the kitchen. It’s a couple of squirts of soap and half a cup of vinegar and fill the rest with water. It’s amazing how it cleans and doesn’t leave any residue. Really good for spot cleaning carpets and upholstery. You can also use cornstarch on grease spots on clothing. Rub on a small amount, let it sit over night and wash as usual. Thanks for your hints and products; I think I need those lights!
Years ago, I read somewhere to use a little cornstarch when cleaning windows, and it helps eliminate streaks. It does seem to help. I spray my cleaner onto the window, then spray some onto the paper toweling, and sprinkle a little cornstarch on before wiping the window. I think maybe how it works is that the little bit of grit helps remove dirt, and the white haze created by the cornstarch helps you identify spots that need to be wiped clean to remove streaking.
I use Dawn, hydrogen peroxide and water in a squirt bottle on all my countertops. My floor cleaner is vinegar. Will check out wet & wild lipstick ( elf brand is inexpensive but dry) Fun and realistic tips!!
Another winning video. I’m “tickled pink”! 😆 I also love simple notebooks, to the point that I would collect them but be hesitant to use them, I guess because I thought I had to have something important to put in them, or perfect penmanship etc. I realized this was silly and now I get great joy using them. One is for my gardening journal, one for business notes, another for creative ideas. I wonder if lipstick sales will spike once the mask mandates are all dropped; interestingly, I think the less expensive lipsticks don’t transfer as easily to my mask as the expensive brands.
Well, this was great and you answered a question that I had been wanting to know, and that is your lipstick color! LOVE, that I can run out and find that brand very easily! I have always been a lipstick girl! My husband has gotten quite the kick out of me racing back in the house to apply my lipstick, just to then cover it up with my MASK!! GADS!! Hopefully, soon we won't be needing those masks here in Kentucky! Also, LOVE the hoop earrings! After watching your vlog on your jewelry closet, I am "itching" to go through all mine and get it organized before our move. Another wonderful watch! Thanks, Linda and Stewart! Love and blessings!!
I love all your pics and would definitely agree with with all of what you say. And your decor. I love paper also, I love the smell (of some) and the sound of the paper and even the how the pen sounds and feels on the paper.
As an avid lipstick wearer, I, too, love Wet N Wild lipstick and many of their other products. Ordered the green leather gloves to jazz up my puffer coat look and wear for St. Pat's. Thanks for the fun videos from sunny/30 zone 6a CT.
Hiya Linda,, enjoyable visit with you today. Wet&Wild yes, actually I used to use their mascara a few years back it was good then. Adult candles totally understand what you were saying. Oh the under cabinet lights will check out your video. Pretty Top. Thankyou take care. Ontario Canada 🐝
Thank You for this video!! I'd like to try the strip lights on our wooden staircase that leads to our sunroom. And the surprise at the end!!!🥰 LOVE these. My favorite color! I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen this yet. 😉
My favorite tips were the rechargeable lights, dawn for grease stains, and reducing plastic. Lately I have been trying to reduce plastic and the products I buy that are mostly water. Trying out laundry sheets, bar soap, shave soap, and shampoo/conditioner bars.
Dear Linda, Thank you for all the great product recommendations. I use Wet and Wild lip pencils too. What is the lip stick shade you're wearing today, I love it!
I’ve enjoyed getting to know you through these videos over the winter. I love how you reference gift giving so much. May I ask what size gloves you wear? Your hands look rather small. Mine are too, and I’m thinking about getting the red ones.
Also , like you I love gloves! Being a California girl I don't get a lot of days that are cold enough to wear them. But just haviing a beautiful box of gloves in the armoir makes me happy... red, black, chocolate and taupes are my favorites . Gloves just seem elegant to me.
I’ve had that dust buster before, loved it and was indispensable in the kitchen, quick clean up of crumbs in the corners, baby seat, etc. now I have a dyson V8 so I haven’t replaced it though.
Totally agree about good candles. I was gifted rechargeable lighters (QVC) - long handled - another thing I don't buy plastic anymore. And my hands are too weak to get the old kind to light. The dustbuster is also good for picking up dead bugs in the house. Use DAWN to clean your windows outside - gets the winter crud off easily. Learned that from my old window cleaning service when I owned a home. Love the Garden Green Gloves!!
Love, love, LOVE your product videos. Agree with everything. I've been a loyalist to Dawn for years. I buy the huge refill and decant it everywhere. You can also put a little along with water into a foam soap dispenser and use it for hand soap--great after working in the garden. I am also a big paper fan and even make my own greeting cards. I have a ton of paper and paper products. Also use the Wet & Wild lipsticks. Then if the color turns out not to be great for me, I'm not out $30. Thanks for a delightful video!
Dawn detergent is my best friend! I buy the large bottle and fill up a glass olive oil dispenser with it. I keep the container on the counter, next to my sink. The big jug is store under the counter, out of sight.
Completely agree…..a handheld vacuum is the best! I got told by my mum about the liquid detergent trick (what we call washing up liquid here in the U.K.) for anything oily on clothing…works when your normal laundry detergent doesn’t. I adore earrings too, always have 😂. 🧡💚🇬🇧
Linda I just had to comment again to tell you I went to Old Navy and found your sweater on the sale rack for $7.99 and then I has $2 credit so it was $5.99. Can you believe it? It's really nice and looks more expensive then it is! Then, I went to Walgreens and bought 4 Wet'n'Wild lipsticks for a total of $10.16 and they are all so nice. My whole shopping excursion was cheap as chips thanks to you.
Another fun video! I just found your RUclips channel a few months ago and love the information I get from you.. I have a few questions I haven’t found answers to yet as I make my way through all your great videos. Nandinas used to be my favorite also until I read an article saying the berries were hurting Oklahoma song birds. I’m thinking now this report was exaggerated - what say you? Linda I’ve ordered your book and I’m really looking forward to reading it. How do I get your book plate? I love your hair color? Have you changed the color to a different shade ? It’s becoming on you. I love all your tips and tidbits? I can’t wait to see what’s coming next. Your amazing. Hugs
It's important that people know it's the BLUE Dawn that cuts grease. I use the green for everyday dishwasher because the blue ruins my hands. But I keep a bottle of blue dawn in the laundry to dot on grease spots on my clothes
So helpful , love these types of videos. I'm looking at a couple of these products. Do you know how often you have to recharge those strip lights? Those seem like exactly what i need in several areas. Thanks!
I have always used Fels Naptha bar soap for greasy stains. My mother always used it too. We just call it the yellow soap! Those lights are great. I have round ones that I use in a corner kitchen cabinet that is deep. I can see so much better in there now,
Great suggestions. I meditate, daily, with high quality scented candles. Can't live without them. Order mine from Officina Profumo. Pricey but long lasting and a daily treat. Also love colored leather gloves. Don't have any green ones but loved yours.
Linda, a great tip is to use chalk on the grease stain and let set over night then apply it again then apply Dawn and rub into the fabric and into the washer it goes. The chalk lifts the grease right off the fabric.
Linda, Thanks for sharing your life! I too am worried about all the plastic. It is a crime! I've never heard about the laundry pods in a box. I have wondered why the others are marketed in plastic. I tried the laundry sheets Earth Breeze and they seem ok. I just found another by Ecos that I'm going to try.

I ran across a tub/shower cleaner that is equal parts Dawn blue dish soap and cleaning vinegar (not regular vinegar). You heat the vinegar in the microwave to warm, add the Dawn, stir and put it in a spray bottle. Spray your shower surface, it clings well and you use a sponge to clean then rinse. Put it back in a glass jar and rinse the spray bottle. Next time heat the solution in the microwave to warm as it solidifies in the jar and pour into the spray bottle and you are ready to go. Works great & affordable 💚

Great tips! I think many of us learned about Dawn when it was used to clean oil from birds following the Exxon Valdez disaster.
I am loving your product videos. Going out tomorrow for some wet and wild lipstick!

Great tip!
It works great!
Help! Stewart, where is the link to the wooden earrings. I saw the gold hoops but not the wooden ones. 😢
