Goodevening Linda & Stewart, heres Another tip , I use extra grocery bags knotted, and put them in the bottom of the small bathroom, bedroom , livingroom trash cans so when I take out the full bag, then there is already another bag to put into the can..And I use my antique crocks as trash cans, and I store my powder laundry detergent in a large old crock.Hope your having a Warm & Cozy Sunday..Thus Far here in Zone 6a, we only have a dusting of snow, from this Major Storm but starting to sleet..have a Great Evening & SMILE..Love your scarf, you look Fabulous in Red today..Full Tuck in shirt and Yes I wear belts

I enjoy all your vlogs so,so much!! There is nothing you talk about whether inside or outside that doesn’t resonate with me. Thank you to you and Stuart for all you do to bring joy and learning to so many!!!
I wanted to share a Bible verse that helps me when I feel overwhelmed by life. I hope you don’t mind. God says in
    2 Corinthians 12:9
“ My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
This verse puts the burden on my Jesus who died for me to forgive my sins and who is there for me through everything.
Thank you for always being real and sharing with us what has helped you. I hope I’ve not offended you in anyway. Just wanted to share my faith. God bless you, Stuart and all your dear family.♥️

Oh my, I just watched your last video on things that make your life easier...and this continued one is just as good!! I cannot tell you how much I needed to hear those words you spoke, at the end of this video, on "Come what may...you CAN handle it"! Today has been a hard day, like many have been lately, after the loss of my sweet Father in Law. We were looking so forward to spending Christmas, all together, for the first time since my Mother in Law died in 2019. From watching your channel, I know you have lost family members as well. I can't tell you how much your channel has brought me, in all aspects! I just love all your great tips and suggestions. Especially tonight, as I am watching, I realize how wonderful it is and has been to "visit safely", if you will, into your garden and your home! What a wonderful GIFT we all have received in the midst of a very tough couple of Pandemic years! Thank you and thank you to Stewart for all this GREAT content! Keep it comin!!! Blessings and much love!

I have my magazines sorted by season... spring, summer, fall and winter. I have each season in a different floor basket or bin with handles so I can bring the whole stack into the room I am in. Sometime I feel like Christmas in July... so I make a cappuccino and my basket and I can spend a couple of hours loving the ideas and inspiration. I also tie a flower, or fall leaf or Christmas sprig to the handle so I can see the season I want at a glance when I open the closet

Very helpful video, Linda. Thank you. Plastic bags in a tissue box is a great idea. I have a few of the cloth holders that work out well. What I have been doing lately is folding those bags so they take up less room and putting several in the bottom of each of the small wastebaskets where I use them for trash. I can then take out the full bag, tie it up and I have another in the bottom of the basket ready and waiting to replace the one I removed. I fold them while I’m having my coffee watching a video or chatting on the phone, etc. I have small wastebaskets all over the house and this saves me time when collecting the trash from them before trash pick up day. Since COVID we have been doing curbside pickup for groceries. The stores here use paper bags with handles. I fold those and tuck into a rack on the inside my utility closet door and use them for my recycle papers and plastics…..easy to carry to the big recycle bin. I also use them for anything unbreakable that I’m going to donate. They are easier to carry and lighter than boxes. I need to use a cane so I have only one hand available to carry things and these work out well. 🥰

@@lydiaellisor4090 I don't like reading magazines or garden books on Kindle, but Kindle is the only way I read a novel these days. I usually fall asleep with a book in my hand, and now I don't have to worry with losing my place. Kindle is also the only way I can read a book without glasses these days, which is also great for bedtime reading, as well as not having to use a bedside lamp.

I was reluctant, too, but I LOVE my Kindle Fire. I do a lot of driving and also gardening and I don't mind the computer-voice on it at all so I use it mostly as a book on tape kind of device. Love many of these ideas and already do several. I love magazines too. I take a picture of ideas, recipes etc that I want to save. I file them on my phone. I can sort them or send them to my email address and file them in appropriate folders. Too much bulk to save magazines. A friend and I subscribed to different magazines and swap them when we are finished. I love that your home is lovely but also very lived in. (That is a compliment.) Many folks show their home and it is devoid of personality - looks staged as if anyone could live there. I like authentic homes. Thanks for sharing.

I got myself a cell phone cover that has 10 credit card slots, plus driver license window and coin purse part. Best $14. - I ever spend. It eliminates having to carry (or search for) 3 different articles, running to the store means: get keys and cell phone and I'm set. However, for more formal occasions I do carry a handbag and for this I purchase a "bag light", no more black hole in my handbag. -- To hang up my boom, shovel etc I use big binder rings (Dollar Tree's a best), the rings are thinner and the article therefore hangs neater on the hook. -- I also got new electric timers that have 2 outlets on them since I like table lamps for ambiance and too lazy to turn each one on, problem solved with these timers. - so these are my "Make life easier" for 2022.

It's amazing how much more expensive and better quality they look. Often I buy a man's belt cut the buckle off and fit one of my choice. The holes are already there if the buckle has to be stitched on. Or you can add extra decoration. I just don't like skinny belts in wide belt loops.

To help me remember which color button goes with which device, I have come up with the following coding system: Green-keys (G for Go), Red-(R for Remote), Blue-handbag (B for Bag), Purple-(P for Phone). I like the half tuck and sometimes a belt, sometimes not, but I really like statement belts, with an interesting buckle or some other kind of metal on them. I love Alexandra Fuller! Which makes me wonder, what about, especially during the winter when there's less going on outside, you start adding a brief Linda's book club to your videos? There must be a lot of gardening books you like, the ones you refer to over and over again, and you can do one at a time. Just thinking out loud 💚

I think stuffing a tissue box with small bags is the most clever idea. I will adopt that one. My winter cozy is a hot water bottle between the sheets about where my feet are. It warms the bed up and it's a perfect resting spot for my feet.

Some random thoughts and comments: 1. Would it look very silly having a remote finder dangling from my prescription readers? Hmm, probably. But YES on the pruners! I've lost more than one pair while out in my wooded buffer, just to recover them months later looking worse for wear. 2. Just added the plastic bag holder to my Amazon list. I'm tall and tired of bending over my garbage scrap bin while peeling veggies. 3. I thought I was the only one who knows my library card number by heart! 😆 Hubby gave me some books for Christmas and although I have several pretty bookmarks, I was looking for something similar to the church missals that have a ribbon or cord attached that I could move from page to page as I'm reading. Nothing is worse than a book that slips and losing the page. My solution was quick and simple. I attached a rubber band approximately mid-way through the book, then tied a thin cord to the top and attached a shell bead to the the bottom for weight. Works like a charm and so inexpensive that I intend on passing it along with the book. Finally, 4. Yes, to the belt. If I don't, I get "saggy bottom" whenever I stand. 😉 PS 5. And may the force be with you, also. No, wait, that wasn't the quote, was it.

@@LindaVater I truly believe that a libraries website is an underused resource & generally hides a number of treasures. The e-resources are quite often passed over unless someone uses the downloads but there are usually many, many others to choose from. Movies to access, Encyclopedias, archives, magazines, craft sites to learn new skills or entertain. You can almost always keep lists of books you want to read and also books you’ve already read (so you don’t get it home and realize you’ve had that one before).
Also, if your library doesn’t have a book you’re looking for, ask if they’ll purchase it for the collection! Check out the classes and programs being offered and suggest (or volunteer to teach) one if you have an idea. Seed starting perhaps!!
And lastly, check to see what materials are being loaned out…tablets, gaming systems, GoPro, Makey kits, Chromebooks, Hotspots, Adventure packs, Trail guides - it’s amazing what different libraries offer!
Have a great day everyone and make sure to check out your local public library 📚

oh! Don't go by me but I don't tuck in shirts any more because of my pot belly. Also, I don't wear belts because the buckle just emphasizes my belly protrusion. I am tired of jeans because they stretch out and I have to always hike them up due to not wearing a belt. If I were thin I would definitely be tucking in my shirts as it is a great look plus I'd definitely wear belts.

Our house is on one level (with a basement). For some reason, the furnace was located at one end of the house. The bedrooms are on the opposite end of what is quite a wide house. So the bedrooms are the coldest rooms (I would have rather had exactly the opposite!). We have a powder room that is on the warm end of the house. If the door to that room is shut, it quickly gets very warm in there. I try to remember to select what I am wearing for the day not long after getting out of bed, and place them in that powder room with the door closed. When it's time to get dressed, the clothes aren't cold, like they are when taken from the closet or chest of drawers on the opposite end of the house! Linda might find putting the space heater in her closet to be beneficial in this way, when she's going through and trying on clothes when deciding to keep or give away! Nice warm clothes to try on in the middle of winter!

I had saved magazines for years, using articles and photos with clients. Useful but cumbersome in the long run, I started tearing out pages, or photo copying pages. I made files such as window treatments, kitchen ideas, how to style bookshelves, etc. I always included a 3x5 card with notations. One file cabinet holds them, and keeps the clutter corraled.

Also, I do the exact same thing with all my magazines! I prefer putting them away per month., as I find it a great way to follow season and holiday ideas. (I never tuck in my top.... that way I hide my booty!! ) by the way...your encouraging words are exactly what I needed to hear today! It is getting a little crazy up in my part of the world. Thank you.
