- At this stage of my life it’s all about making life easier and more pleasurable. Products I can use with ease, labor inside and out when I need it, and the good sense to know that you and I don’t have to do it all. I consider it part of healthy aging, don’t you?

Ok, choosing wine by the color of the bottle and books by the cover...sounds perfect to me.
Linda, I KNEW you had so much more to offer than gardening tips. I LOVED this episode! ❤
Thank you Edith🙏🙏🙏
I totally agree 👍
Fiona 🦘
Attention is a form of prayer, I absolutely love that and will carry this thought with me throughout the coming week. Thank you for this lovely grace note Linda.
How I appreciate you…you are so kind and real!
Totally agree Ginette 👍
We are such a blessed community 🙏
Fiona from Australia 🦘
This was beautiful. Made me stop and think about graciousness towards others, and gracious living. Thank you, Linda and Stewart.❤️
I also love old books, and have many in my collection. Like you I have not read all of them. So what a coincidence. Last winter I started reading the books in my collection, starting with rereading some of the books my children had to read in high school; The Scarlet Letter, The House of Green Gables, White Fang etc. In February my husband had a knee replacement, so while he was having therapy one of the books I read was Henry Fielding's, Tom Jones (the cover is blue by the way). Old books with blue covers are my favorites. I'm also rereading some of my old favorites, like Daphne Du Maurier's books. Thank you for sharing!
You hit the right note with me! I have chronic pain that really spiked today. You reminded me that I can shift my attention to something simple but gratifying and make a better day of it. TY
I love the story of your "acquaintance" now considered a "friend". Her thoughtfulness, not just with the hostess gift, but with a note of thanks, was so dear. Note to self: remember that a handwritten thank you is an act of kindness and graciousness.
Deep drive ❤️ Attention is a form of prayer! Thank you for being you! ❤️ A breath of fresh air!❤️
Dear Linda, I enjoy and appreciate very much your 'love for words'. I think it is a lost art. Thank you for keeping it alive💜
I’m reading The Maverick Soul. ( The life & homes of bohemians.) I love the bohemian, (hippie) lifestyle. I also love gardening. And you are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for taking the time to be there for us.
I love when you do these kind of videos. The simplest kind of ambience really makes life so enjoyable. I can really relate to you. I am 74 and you really add joy to my life. I love to do these things with my wonderful husband.
I love this segment! Thank you, Linda for emphasizing the point…Don’t bring flowers to a host unless they are in a container! I am alone and entraining is a lot of work…especially when ppl first come in. Having to stop greeting and hosting to put flower in a vase is a pain! Even worse is when I am entertaining on my patio.
My Alexa responded every time you or Stewart mentioned her name. What a hoot.!
I love your joy in simple things. Attention is an act of love……
YOur fridge is so shiny!!!! I still want to know what your hair style is called. I love it. Your entry table and everything around it says FRENCH COUNTRY AND I LOVE IT SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!!!!! WOW.
Because of your sweet visit with Katie, I’m going to give a thank you gift long overdue to my sweet neighbor, who gifted me an amazing CHAPPYWRAP BLANKET! It is a beautiful cozy blanket to snuggle with these chilly nights at our Lakehouse in Maine! Thank you for giving me a nudge! Always watching your amazing videos! Xo Nancy
Attention is a form of prayer!! I just love this and how easy ,if we take the time, this is to give ?! I just loved this video!! Thank you for sharing. You are delightful!!!!
How fun seeing the Twining. You two gals are great. This was such a beautiful video in so many ways, thank you.
Linda in my opinion this was one of the best and most meaningful videos that you have ever done.
Loved it Linda.
Like it that you mixed things up a bit and it isn’t just gardening tips again.
Thank you.
Fiona 🦘🙏
I agree with you.
I have a blackberry winter I like. I love to read every thing and I read more than one book at a time.
🌿Paying attention is a form of prayer especially when we are in conversation with the Creator of all things. I do think in the busyness and pleasures of life it is so very easy to not pay attention to our Creator until we get into a rough patch of life.🍃
Very very true Megan.
Thank you for those enlightening words.
Fiona 🦘🙏
I just bought the buckets..you had to buy two. And, am on my way to Trader Joe's today with the wine list in hand. Love the idea of keeping the green bottles and your tea idea. I look forward to every episode. Now, please tell me how you stay so in shape. You look wonderful! An inspiration! Have a wonderful, blessed day.
Love the tip of doing basil or rosemary water! Definitely going to do it. Right now I'm reading two books: The Light We Carry by Michelle Obama and Gulp, The Adventures of the Alimentary Canal by Mary Roach.
Hi Linda,
You are so gracious in so many ways. I have been watching you for the past 3 years now. Your style is impeccable. I always look forward to see what you are up to. Congratulations on your beautiful new home and your stunning new garden.
I wish we lived closer, as I live in Savannah, Ga. Would love to sit and chat with you on your Social Patio!! 😊
I love your reminders of enjoying life. You are such an inspiration to me and I can't seem to get enough. Thanks to you and Stewart for sharing great stories, ideas and the fun that can be had in daily chores.
Totally agree Tina 👍
Fiona 🦘🙏
Loved every segment of this video. I’m alway left wanting more when it’s over. That’s such a good thing Linda and Stewart.❤❤❤
I am reading Diana Gabaldon's newest book "Tell the Bee's I'm Gone", from the Outlander series. I'm obsessed!
Linda, this series is a beautiful and transcending expression of everything we love about you! You are OUR Martha Stewart. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.
Amazing! Thank you for reminding me how important for others and for me to pay attention to small gestures that can lead to special memories. You inspire me to be a better person. God Bless ... Now and Always!
Love this new show. I use one French Press for coffee and different one for tea. I’m reading “Lost & Found” by Zoe Field, a flower farmer in New Zealand. Handwritten Thank You notes are almost non-existent today. I still write them. Also, save the most meaningful ones that I’ve received over the years.
I love your all your words expressions. I just listened to Anne of Green Gables, again....🤦♀️. And listen to you now makes me think about this great, warm story. It’s fun and warm at the same time.😂❤
I liked the “twining” segment and the part at the end about all the gracious acts of kindness expressed by your new friend.
Love the simple yet elegant tips to enhance our homes. I am reading The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah and The Menopause Manifesto by Dr Jen Gunter and listening to The Golum and the Jinni by Helene Wecker. My husband and I will be downsizing this next year and you have given me inspiration and excitement for making a big change (which I had been dreading). Love the variety of your channel. Thanks to you and Stuart.
I loved the ending note to today s segment about “attention” and I totally agree with your comments…. Thank you for the sharing of it…❤
Linda, I thoroughly enjoyed each and every segment of your weekend video ! From the jasmine infused tea using a coffee press ( I never thought of doing that ! ) to the elevation of an acquaintance to a new friend. I will never again bring flowers to someone that are not already prepared to enjoy!
Definitely agree Diane 👍
Fiona 🦘🙏
I love the theme of this episode so much…Attention is a form of prayer…I will try to take the deep dive!
I just read Frederick Law Olmsted biography, Genius of Place by Justin Martin. I loved it and I want to visit his parks. I been to many of them but now I’ll look at them with a different point of view. I just bought a vintage blue book called Joy Street by Frances Parkinson Keyes. Like you I plan to read it in because the cover opens to a drawing of Louisburg Square in Boston. I’ve lived in Boston on and off my while adult life so the book has great interest to me. I love your channel and style. 💙
Thank you for so many wonderful ideas to add meaning and beauty to our lives! I have this chopper and determined that if I cut the veggies into smaller sections and used a quick “snappy” motion with the lid the veggies were perfectly diced! I love this tool!
I’m currently reading Eat To Beat Your Diet and Eat To Beat Disease by William W. Li, MD It is very inspiring … to eat better and find the right foods that activate your metabolism and make the most impact on my health … loving it!
Hello Linda I love that you named your areas in your yard it's you I love it continue have a great day
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this video!!! Especially the last part.
Linda I enjoy listening to you so much, mostly for gardening advice and words of wisdom but recently listened to you about books you were reading. So, I enjoy listening to books on Audible as I quilt. I am listening to, The Empire of the Summer Moon. I am enjoying learning about history so much more than I used to. The book is about Cherokee Indians and the Settlers moving into the plains. It’s brutally honest but a good read
I saw a video on youtube recently that someone mentioned drinking water with red raspberries and rosemary or mint. I liked this video.
Linda, I’ve been watching for about a year, but went back and watched more. I’m not much of a gardener, but I enjoy watching you! I also watch Sydney, and like all the things you’ve done for each other. I especially love your entertaining and lifestyle segments. But I LOVE these signature Saturdays. They speak to me and give me useable ideas to lead a more graceful life!❤️
Totally agree Deb.
Such a refreshing change to the gardening videos I feel.
Fiona 🦘🙏
For some reason I found it so funny when you recommended using your foot to use your chopper😂
Really liking this new addition of your styles! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with all of us.
Totally agree Robin👍
Fiona 🦘🙏
I am really enjoying the way you are embracing your later years, Linda. Your life changes are an inspiration to me. It reminds me to change things that no longer work for me.
Linda please tell your followers to hold on to the counter when standing on the onion slicer. Being a ER nurse I saw many injuries of people trying to step on paint cans, jars or whatever and they did not have a secure grip and fell over and broke their arm, leg or hip. I do have the same slicer and do the same move!
Great advice!
Totally agree Patricia 👍

Loved the ending and your philosophical commentary about paying attention to the situations that happen to us. 😊
This is fun! Thank you for all of your lovely ideas!!!
Lovely closing to an informative show. What a thoughtful new friend you have gained this week. I love that you took the opportunity to invite her to your wine tasting~so often we hesitate to engage with new people and that usually proves to be our loss in the long run.
Linda I loved this episode so much. I have to tell you that I love your settee. I loved the phrase attention is a form of prayer. Have a great week.
Totally agree Sylvia👍
Fiona 🦘🙏
Could not agree more! It is always a pleasure learning something from you, Linda! Thank you for the tips!
I’m reading Dear Edward for the neighborhood book club and Gone With The Wind for me. We have just started a new garden and hope to be ready for fall planting of vegetables
Greetings from northeast Indiana, Hi Linda, thanks so much for sharing you truly inspire me, I love to garden and finally having a garden shed built! I need to head on over to Trader Joes! I would be grateful to have a dear friend like you too ! I am reading the Holy Bible, and How to Reach Your Full Potential for God. Blessings
I like the hostess gift idea and I appreciate them very much. I have always had a the problem of not being very creative so, I struggle with what to bring many times. Especially if I don’t know the host very well. I love your videos that give great examples of things like the herbs in a vase. 🌿
I wrote a book about miscarriage and infertility that is a daily devotional. A lot of people don't realize that miscarriage is a trauma. It can last for 6 weeks. The hormones are not balanced for a woman after any pregnancy for 2 years, even for miscarriage. Maybe the book includes miscarriage for trauma in the book The Body Keeps the Score? I will check it out.
This was a great episode! I would enjoy more like it. So I will be watching for Signature Style Saturday!
In this last week I’ve read:
Carrie Soto Is Back
What Happens In The Ballroom
In My Dreams I Hold A Knife
I LOVED this episode.
I often have a pitcher of ice water in the fridge with slices of lemon and cucumber. So refreshing!!
Linda great ideas for Saturday segments. Thank you . I am also an avid reader and re-read my favorites just as much as I re-watch a favorite past movie, I am re- reading My Secret Garden .
I love anything about books and gardening! Right now I am reading After: A Doctor Explores What Near-Death Experiences Reveal About Life and Beyond. And I am also wrapping up the Fredrik Backman trilogy with The Winners.
OMG. I’ve been putting the packet of flower food in my vase! Now I know. Thank you. 🌷💕
Linda I’ll say it again I love this! I look forward to seeing every single detail ❤
Great episode - I Love Gardening and Fashion styling in the Garden - What a great combo - you can style up or changes the flow of both gardening and Fashion - and I must say - Don’t both topics go so well together - Dressing up your Garden as well as yourself - O Linda would Love your tips ideas and thoughts on trying to have a English Garden Party - the formal dressy Garden Parties that they have - I have a event coming I With a charity - and this topic came up as a fund raiser - Fashion in the Garden - A Formal Garden Party - English Garden Party - All tho I feel the need to press the fact that it’s a formal party - no jeans legging shorts - etc . Hope you or sone one on your team - see’s this - Happy Gardening
GRACE NOTES Segment is now my new Favorite Linda!!!!! I just love and admire you with your briliant tips! Thank you always for sharing it with all of us....Love you lots!
@@mrs.m1752 Thank you so much! I will definitely look for her books!
I just love your new couch!!
Loved this new segment! I always look for special vases at yard sales, etc. to keep on hand for gifting arrangements.
Totally agree Mary 👍
Fiona 🦘🙏
And related......"Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity." Simone Weil
Finally, I was able to get to watching this & I have to say this is now one of my favorite videos. Linda, you have such a calming presence about you that really draws people in...my attention never wanders! 😊 The end was especially touching when you showed what your "new" friend had given you...showing gratitude is such a lost art these days!
Everything you say DearOne
sounds so magnetic!
Simplistic is a sign of maturity.....selah❤
Good reminder of “taking things for granted “ !! I also like your phrase “ a touch of loveliness “ ❤❤
What am I reading? I started a series earlier this year by Bill Noel, Folly Beach Mysteries. There are 20+ books in the series and I have been so hooked. All series take place on Folly Beach, South Carolina which is a very small, barrier island of eccentric citizens. It is told by a retiree from the corporate world who chooses to live his retired life on this easy going, although somewhat nutty island and finds himself becoming a pseudo detective, helping the local police solve occasional crimes. Although something I would not normally choose, I have found the series just charming and so enjoyable. Great summer project read.
Lynne here. Superficial observations are not always a bad thing 😂 love it!
True!
My my, Linda! Gardening, Growing, Gathering and Giving. The 4Gseason( I just made that up🤭😂) is the best of all! Thank you, for evolving for us all. Loving every minute of these episodes.❤️ So proud of you.🤗
Love your 4Gseason idea, Gardening, Growing, Gathing, and Giving; just the way I arrange my days. With Spring moving into Summer gardening will give way to growing new skills as a quilter. The heat of Summer in Texas limits my time outdoors.
What a terrific new segment, Linda! So enjoyed this and the lovely story, thoughts at the end. “Attention is a form of prayer.” Can’t wait for next Saturday! ❤
I love this Saturday episode and your new features. You inspire me to be more attentive in my own life and be more aware. Thank you!
Love your new segments on Saturdays! I want to watch this video again so I can catch everything! ❤ Thanks Linda and Stewart!
Totally agree Jackie👍
Fiona 🦘🙏
I thoroughly enjoyed this, Linda! I buy many bottles because of their color/shape also! I have accumulated a lot of World Market Olive Oil bottles because of the shade of green that they are (the olive oil is delicious, too)! I intend on cutting them with a glass cutter and making hand-poured candles out of them. I plan on spacing them along my deck rail. Just got my glass cutter! :)
I love the quote, "Attention is a form of prayer." I teach yoga and like to have a theme for my classes. This will be this week's theme. Thank you so much for this inspiration! It's lovely!
Lovely~~
Linda, I’ve watched your channel for years now and with each video, I take away something that makes my life a little bit better. But, today, your segment on attention really made me think about how to have that same effect on everyone I come across in my daily life. Thank you for that.
Totally agree👍
Fiona🦘🙏
Thanks for the tips, Linda. I sometimes am reading more than one book at a time. Currently I am reading Singing Lessons for the Stylish Canary, by Portland author and publisher (Forest Avenue Press) Laura Stanfill, also almost done with Miss Burma: a novel by National Book Award finalist Charmaine Craig. I just finished reading Lily and the Octopus. I've got pile of books next to my bed and a Full Kindle library as well. Happy reading everyone.
Watched you and have ordered the chopper and the Ugg shoes. WOW. Thanks for sharing!
Linda, sometimes you can remove labels easily by filling the bottle or jar with very hot water and let it sit for about 10 minutes. The hot water melts the adhesive under the label and it will peel right off when you loosen the corner. It doesn’t always work. Sometimes leaves some adhesive on the glass, but it does work a lot of the time. Saves the time of soaking and scraping. 😊💖🦋🕊
Loved this episode Linda; it got me thinking on so many levels. I have just read To the Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf - the language and descriptions are exquisite! Now I'm reading (listening to this one on Audible so I can also knit) Before We Were Yours, by Lisa Wingate, and I'm really enjoying it.
Totally agree 👍
Fiona🦘🙏
Before We Were Yours is a great read! Enjoy! I just read Chemistry Lessons & Someone Else's Shoes. Enjoyed both.
I really loved this episode Linda. I too will pay more attention to people and my surroundings.!!!
Your Book and Beatrix Potter!!! Loved this segment thank you!
I read ‘The Body Keeps The Score’ a couple of years ago as an adjunct to my therapy for trauma. It’s a must have for anyone’s library whether for yourself, or to have on hand to loan to a friend or family member. Thanks for sharing it Linda. Not connected, but I’m going to take your wine list to TJs and stock up for our busy summer festivities! 🎉❤
Oh my gosh.....! "DAF!" - "Dicing Approved Footware!" Man, did I need this video! TY, L & S! 🦶🦶🦶
Enjoyed this blog very much!
I loved this segment. The book I just finished is GLITTER AND GLUE by Kelly Corrigan. I love all her books. Another favorite author is Anna Quindlen.
I enjoyed today's program. I had a good laugh when you commanded "Alexa" as a timer. It also activated my device. LOL!😂
I've done lemon, basil, and cucumber water many times before and it is amazing!!!!
Great idea with the chopper However for sanitary purposes I would either slip my foot and slipper in a plastic bag. OR cover the top of the chopper with a cloth.
Rosemary water is delicious. I don’t even heat the water if I have some time before serving-I just clip some stems from my garden and add them, along with some lemon slices, into a pretty carafe.
Nice segment. I enjoyed the variety of ideas. I am listening to audio books now and read everyday. Mostly the newspaper. I am saving a book I bought at a library reading for summer reading. Daughters of Nantucket. It was written by someone I knew from the hood. I like to read summer books in summer. Winter books in winter etc. I might get those Ugg sandals. They look really useful for gardener types. I am growing lemon balm in my herb containers for teas. Lemon balm is a medicinal herb. I will look for jasmine tea to try. Thank you😊 for that! Have a nice weekend🙂 Linda and Stewart!
I just bought the book Kim at an antique store this week. I loved this episode!!!
I now own the t shirt you have on and your garden hat and garden gloves. 😄
Social Patio is perfect. We live out in the country, but ever one wants to sit in our front yard, so I put gravel and our mixed matched patio chair in front and love it.
The wine bottles are perfect, you could take rings that fit around the necks of the bottle and put labels so everyone would know what's in them.😊
Love this segment and all the little tidbits! Keep the variety up❤
Oh, i love all these ideas ❤ Being attentive does resonate right now. We sometimes get caught up in how fast we can communicate with others and dont give them the time they deserve for an answer. An example is one word texts, or using an emoji because we are doing something else at the same time. I hope to practice more attentiveness. I really love the idea of reading some of our old books. I have collected old books for years and having just moved to be closer to our son, i am loving the opportunity to decorate this home with treasures that have spent too much time packed away. Have a lovely week Linda and to everyone in this community.
Very kind indeed of you Gail.
I also wish you a wonderful week ahead.
Glad you are now near your son.
Fiona 🦘🙏
