I’m from Oklahoma and I’ve had straight line winds blow over trees where the rootball was above ground and I’ve road out several tornadoes and am extremely lucky to still be here because the destruction was insane and let me tell you riding one out in a metal building with large windows is crazy and is an amazing adrenaline rush
Now I wouldn't be surprised if you been threw one directly tho
@@MarxLeninTrotsky Biggest one I’ve ever been in was an EF3. I grew up storm chasing with my family and following storms around the country so you could say it’s in my blood. You know you grew up loving storm chasing when Reed Timmer and his dominators were your childhood hero in the early 2000’s
@@benc2023 I've been to close for comfort to the May 3rd 99 and May 2013 EF5's tornadoes. Although you know how living in Oklahoma is, you hear a tornado siren, so you better go outside and get a great view.

The one with the tree looks like Florida, roots do not go very deep here since we are basically at sea level. Big ass oak fell over just like that during a rainstorm, right through my friend's living room! She would be dead if she had been sitting in her usual spot on the couch! Edit to add: the root system was pretty flat & was at least 10ft high by 15ft wide

No Tornado but St Croix hurricane maria. Gusts over 225. Was gnarly. Wind can definitely do some stuff!

I'm in Tennessee and I've been in at least 6 tornadoes and multiple straight-line wind events. Trees get uprooted by winds here all the time. It happens because the ground gets so waterlogged from the rain that the soil around the tree roots gets soft and it makes it easier to uproot the tree. And yes, tornadoes are insane.
8:29 when I was a kid we moved down to Port Orange, Florida. The tornados were surprisingly common, but one morning I woke up for school and a tornado had went through our subdivision, across the street from our house and I had slept through it somehow 😅 that happened multiple times over the several years down there lol.

I was in Hurricane George. The one that hit South Carolina in the late 80s, early 90s. Was in a trailer and it ripped trees and speared them through trailer homes. Cars that were close, were flown like matchboxes all over the place. I hid in the bathtub.
The tree going thru the house is from my hometown.
Caught in a tornado on the freeway at night. Crazy AF! I was dodging whole ass trees that were being whipped across the freeway
I live in eastern Washington and we get winds strong enough to tear down trees. I had 3 trees down and large branches it's crazy lol
The wind doesn't have to all that strong to take a tree out.
Soil saturation, and composition makes a huge difference.
A couple years ago I had almost all the fruit trees I had out back tipped over during a wet winter with 20mph winds every night.

I was 2 miles from the tornado that went through Arkansas last month, it was CRAZY
I was visiting the tornado valley area, and a EF2 went through, damage but not all that much, few trees and stuff but..
I used to race xc mountain bikes. I tried to hop a ditch and ended going over the handlebars. As soon as I landed the guy behind me ran over my chest and broke my collar bone with the tires. I trained all winter to race for 10min and take an ambulance ride. I was also the first patient in the brand new ambulance.
Man can i just say something.. I recently lost my cat who I was very close to.. And when i come here and watch your videos, you cheer me up, thank you.

Canadian. where I lived Only 2 other tornado's have in the area. So when we experienced one down the road my adopted parents had me go over to there grama on the same 2 acher property and get her to the main house. Dashhound almost turned into air dog
In college I was on my Baja SAE team and we built a new car with better steering and I was the first guy to figure out that the car could roll, was doing slaloms through some trees and went to make a u turn around one and went for a ride. Was only going maybe 10-15 mph so it wasn’t bad but was funny to see the world go sideways😂

I've had 2 very large trees uproot and hit my house in less than 3 years. it sucks. luckily this last one only smashed my deck and mangled a gutter.

Those are maple trees in my area. If you sneeze at them they fall over.
aint been stuck in a tornado but there were 110-mile-an-hour plus winds at my house for like a week straight.
Was on my M90 in Tampa when a small tornado ripped through the area I had just been in saw it ripping down trees limbs, siding, and shit in my mirror as I was racing to remove myself. It was intense wind was so nasty had to lean on the bike so it wouldn’t lay down. Go out unscathed but it has my damn heart racing for sure.
You don't forget the sound a tornado makes. Devastation everywhere. For years after I'd get panic attacks when they'd activate the sirens.

I was in the 2002 F4 La Plata tornado and it was pretty nuts. So many trees were down that even the Amish men said ok this one time we will use chainsaws.

I'm from the Midwest so I've been through a few different tornadoes in my life
Boy forgot to check the 5th wheel locking pin. With a 5th wheel it may be smaller on a pickup truck but its the exact same design as on a big rig. Whenever you connect a 5th wheel always give it a tug test and check the locking pin.
Yeah, I picked a campground to stay at in Iowa and the other campground that I almost went to got wiped out.

Definitely my biggest X-Games fail is when I was at Mnt. Bachelor mountain bike park in Oregon. I decided to hit this massive hip. It was about 20ft long. I ended up launching myself with too much speed almost clearing the whole thing lengthwise. I had never hit a hip jump before and didn't intend to do it again anytime soon. I walked away with a large scrape and a bruised ego.

Up here in Illinois we got hit by a pretty decent tornado, my airport was wiped out, power lines fkd up, tree lines gone, and 4 total deaths 10-12 people injured, and the tornado was half a mile from my house I was outside workn on my racing lawnmower

The Tornado went by my house and went straight to little Rock AR and that normally dont happen bc a tornado goin in Arkansas usually stops right before Hot springs and maybe Benton but almost never Little Rock

13 years old and I was in Colorado doing a two day beginner snowboarding class. I'm going down the freaking bunny hill and barley get out the words "Hi mom" then immediately faceplate into a scorpion and smack my lower spine with the snowboard and I was run over as I'm laying in the snow.
Story time it was hunting season we were hunting white tail deer i went to get our trail cams sd card when i turned i turned a little to sharp and two wheeled it for a second .
Fun fact, I live in a town that a tornado jumped over back in 2013 when a tornado struck Eagle, WI
