- ...WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO!...especially at 8:30 and the TAKEOFF. Another First Class video - ALL THE WAY! American Airlines Flight 99 - London Heathrow (LHR) to Chicago (ORD). Commander is Captain (Mrs.) Fitzsimmons - a very senior and well respected Pilot at American Airlines and one of the Top 25 in the skies today - worldwide! This video is awesome, loud and has very powerful engines + sound throughout the whole video...watch the whole movie as we power up and down throughout the 10 minutes...I had a hard time holding the camera still as I was sucked back into the massive First Class seat!
This was probably THE MOST POWERFUL TAKEOFF I have ever experienced as a passenger. Although not a full PAX payload, we were at MTOW (Maximum Take Off Weight) in part due to a full cargo load. Watch as Captain Fitzsimmons "blasts" off and takes us through the clouds above London towards Chicago (make sure to see the landing too). You can see the engine sucking in half of the air in England and the leading edge of the wing slicing it as we lift off. We made three climbs in between the clouds as she (Cap. Fitzsimmons) masterfully and smoothly took this awesome 777-200 to Flight Level 380 (38,000 Feet) cruising altitude. You can hear the Trents whine, growl as we go up and up and then go almost silent ...
Please enjoy. Smart comments only! (My apologies for the spec of dirt on the window.) Make sure to see the landing and my other take off videos! Кино
8:32 wow just wow how amazing
Thank you. Every time I see it, my feet feel like they are floating....
Love the power up at 7:42.
Ahhhh..the magnificent sound of the RR fan blades going supersonic
I've flown most planes and the 777 is by far my favorite. It makes more trust than a quad engine 747 or the airbus a340. The GE90 is truly a masterpiece of an engine.
I really like Airbus' A380-800 & the A340s but, the Boeing Triple Sevens are the best thus far. Can't wait to see the B-777X-9s!!
Very nice video, and a very special moment at 8:30! He kept the throttles to the wall for a long time after takeoff!
Much appreciated.
I have been looking for this video for like 2 years and i finally found it again! Great video!
Very impressive! This is probably my favourite take-off and most scenic take-off I've ever seen!
wow, love the cloud skimming at 8.30..really beautiful
8.30 is just heavenly. Thank you very much for this video
She was the captain of a flight out Frankfurt to Chicago I was on. I was in business class, she pushed me back into my seat.
Best full throttle pull on yt
Wow 3 layers of cloud and the last one was amazing, so beautiful.
brilliant take off mrs fitzsimmons!!! keep it up!!!
Wow... good ole Mrs Fitzsimmons... well done Maam!
This is amazing!! 8:34 is Crazy! great to see another video from you!
I love the sound of the wine when the Auto-throttle pulls back on the power and then pushes it back up three times near the end.
Amazing video! Love when you break free of the clouds and cruise over them.
Oh my God.....!!! The sound of those Trents at full thrust is pure music to my ears! Unbridled ecstasy....and love the video too...."Ten Minutes to Sunlight".
Amazing video. Music to my ears. Those speeding clouds at 08:33 gorgeous!
Absolute joy to watch... Excellent steady footage and with the added numerous cloud breaking scenes, makes this one of the best videos I've seen..
Splendid video, thank you !!! God I LUV those Trent 895s, they sound SWEET !!!
Once again, a fantastic video. Congratulations!
Amazing video dude! Tks for sharing it!
Awsome video!! That is one of the greatest videos ever!!!!
great video you can see the speed of the aircraft coming out of the clouds. great video
It's always jaw dropping ... riding like a V8 engine car.
Although GE90-115B fans said that it's the strongest in the world than the Rolls Royce Trent 800 series by two times of the thrust, yes..that's the fact , but yet, music is not good as Rolls Royce Trent 800 series. Trent produces the sound that nobody done before , that roaring , that raging pushing power , that tune is simply most powerful ever ~ !
well said, well said
Absolutely impressive, I love the distinctive growl of the RR Trents at maximum power and how incredibly silent they become when the aircraft reaches cruise altitude and speed. This is a great example of how airliner engines have evolved not only in terms of power and efficiency, but also in passenger comfort.
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it. :)
thats sounds like a V8 from a muscle car....oh wait...the TRENTs are MUSCLE ENGINES!!
Trent 892. 0-60mph or 96kmh in under 6 seconds. 99%+ dispatch rate (cant say same for 787) ceiling FL430 for 43,000ft.
onecunningfox correct! these things move!! I rode in my first 777 with P&Ws and they haul ass and lift off like a rocket.. my main plane I take is a 747-400, very smooth! But 777 feels much faster getting out of the hole.
Weirdo lol
GE 90 is more powerful
***** Hmmmmm I gotta go with the Ge 90 on the sound Lol but its all on personal preference.
Oh yeah man! Listen that engines! Powerful take off! Good video :D
I love the sound of the wine when the Auto-throttle pulls back on the power and then pushes it back up three times, starting at 6:12.
Loved this! Thanks for sharing!
Ahhh the sound of the Trent 800 is beautiful. You can't beat 3 stage engines, The Trent Family rules!!!
I am lucky as I deliver to Heathrow Airport and get to see these planes land and take off. I drive Airside so I am close to the planes, and experience the take offs and landings from airside., Awesome sight and sounds. I love these videos and never get bored of them. Thanks for posting
Kool video! I like it when you go through the clouds, looks like the pilot put the after-burners on. Like the sound!
Oh my gosh! The sound is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome vortex coming off the vane on the nacelle!
As a Cabin Crew, can't get enough of that Spool-up sound sitting at doors 2!
Very nice video...I like it when the plane punches through multiple cloud decks- both during takeoff and landing!
This is a machine that can really kick ass. It has the most powerful engines on a passenger plane, at over 120, 000 pounds of thrust both the GE and the Rolls Royce versions will give you an unique experience as they roar into the skies. Simply the triple 7 has the best sound of any pas. plane, period. And to think that any one of the engines by itself can easily take this bird no matter the payload. I wish someday to travel in one of these. Great video.
Very poetic description. Awesome awesome video
Nice one, that RR noise is magic!
True sense of speed when cutting thru the clouds! Love it!
I think this guys mic is too good, it sounds bloody wonderful to me, it's picking up everything engineering at its best. Beast!
this is the great sound of planes - thanks
8.30 footage is stunning! Lovely aircraft!
This engine sound is just perfect!!
holy crap that thing blasted down the runway fast
One of the most beautiful sound i ever heard.
Oh that sound If only I could score into music Kudos to those who design those engines & planes and the blessings to the Pilots who fly them Wow I am speechless
absolutely remarkable! the takeoff is always exciting, but the fact you demonstrate how fast the plane is going over the clouds is just about as good as it gets.
my heart dropped, and im sitting in my house at 6:16
Why? Engines are at full power only until it has reached a good rate of climb.
LP Engines aren't even at full power during takeoff or rollout. Just the TOGA power.
***** All planes and jets are at full power until they reach their climbing speed!
Do you have any idea how aircraft work? Commercial airliners use de rated power on takeoff the preserve the life of the engines. Very few, if any, airliners use full throttle on takeoff. Your general aviation prop plane will but not your 35 million dollar airliner.
esmi000 there is full power and there is take off power.. very RARE do they put the throttle to the max. we know the weak A330s and A340s do lol I see those things fly over my house and pray they do not sink lol
Perfect takeoff, perfect sounds from a great aircraft. Got to love the amazing wing flex afterwards. Thanks!
Really nice - thx for posting
Great video I'm on aa99 in a few weeks can't wait. It's been a while since I was on a 777
brilliant vid especially at 8:30. when the clouds go by that quick u know ure going fast :D
Thats a coool video! Well done!
8:30 is one of those moments that no matter your mood is, they instantly put a smile on your face :) great video, LOVE the 777s
Alot of the A-300 series and the Boeing series such as the 757, 767 and the 777 all have that powerful "turbine" sound. Thats why when I fly I like the window seat just above and in front of the engine. Awesome.
Awesome video!
one of the best aviation videos i've seen yet. amazing plane, engine, and power.. liked it when you broke out at 8:30 as well. damn that takeoff was fast and sexy! amazing video sir keep it up
8:34 sure it's the magic moment, feeling how you emerge from that cloud bed, it's beautiful.
Wonderful! Thanks for posting.
Great video Sir!
All pilots for any comercial airline are well respected they take up a huge machine with lives and land it all in their control.
that sound, is simply amazing
Yeah it is really awesome from 8:35 to the end where the jet is just blasting over the clouds. The sense of speed is amazing.
what a wonderful sounds ! i love 777's powerful sounds too.
Great video!
Awesome! Best engines EVER *-*
You cant beat the sound of the Trent's !
GE 90s are great sounding in my opinion
Agree, they are workhorses to be sure.
Are you sure? Because the BAC 1-11 has the loudest jet engines ever. Go search it. BAC 1-11 QinetiQ final flight.
love the sound of trent engines 3:55 was pretty cool
Love this video!!!
always come back to hear this magnificent display of power .... I think when you set them to %100 time starts to shift LOL
It sounds like the Trent 700 (an engine of the Airbus A330.)
That's some serious power there.
Love this video!
Beautiful Scenery
Love that sound!
Excellent video.
awesome takeoff dude !!!
Love the sound of those engines
Very nice Video!!! - Thanks.
One of the greatest sounds in the world! :-)
This aircraft does such a great job at climb no matter what the TOW is. You can distinctively hear the thrust reduction a little after takeoff! Awesome video pal, and best regards!
Lovely plane to fly in - took one from London to Toronto and back again - slept like a baby and I NEVER sleep on flights.
I just love the Howl from those engines.
;o) - Ambient sound - the only way to go! Godspeed.
Didnt watch it but i know its a great video man
Awesome video and great take-off out of LHR. I have never experienced one like that with the increase/decreasing of the throttles at the different climb stages...most of the time I've flown out of LHR we have just continuously climbed up to our altitude, but that was pretty interesting to see!
I do agree with some other posters that 100% power is rarely used on take-off unless fully loaded, but by the sound of those trents, I'd say it was pretty close to it!! Great video anyway.
brilliant vid :)
this is music to my ears !!! very cool !
love the sound. When you break the clouds it looks like you are screamin along! The sound helps the effect.
Breathtaking!
Wow that was the most powerful EVER!!
The best 777 take off I have ever seen, great footage! Ill be going from LHR to EWR next year, I hope it turns out to be like this because I've never been on a plane bigger than a 757 LOL :)
forgot to add, i f**ing love the part where you bust through the clouds, and get a great idea on the speed in which your traveling at! awesome!
love it when the plane get's into the clouds
I flew on the 777 a couple times going from NY to London. Those are incredibly powerful engines and a very nice airplane.
The only thing I found disturbing the first time was the darn thing sounding like the engine was eating itself up LOL. I guess Efficiency and Power came before sounding good a full power :)
Damn! Look at the size of those engines!
