- Do you have a preferred engine sound? This small compilation features some of my favourite take-offs from various airports. Go ahead and judge yourself which one is the best!
I’m 58 and still get a buzz during takeoff. Who doesn’t love the roar of those monsters?✈️👍🏾👍🏾
The Buzz sound is produced when the fan blades hit supersonic speeds, producing that buzz sound, The Rolls Royce RB211's buzz sound is very distinctive. All though they are a rare sight these days.
I don't care what it is...if there's a turbine on it...i go nuts
Im 10, and its music to my ears.
I love it and the way it pushes u back in your seat
I detest takeoffs. For me it's one of the most dangerous parts of the flights imho, even worse than landings. The stress on the plane and engines is at max, yet there's no time and often not much runway to let you make any wrong decisions. For me it's 100% pilot judgement at this point, and that concerns me a lot because humans make mistakes.
A big note from your big buddy for you :)

Thanks heaps man!
where's A380, B787 and B747???
@@lucijanpraprotnik man... You didn't even view the full video nor saw my entire comment....
Nothing will ever beat the scream of 4 GE CF6-80s on a 747.
the scream of the CF6-80's it's just a vacuum cleaner moan compared to the roar of the older CF6-50C/C2 change my mind
I'm sorry but the Ge 90 have the best sound then CF6 then RB211s other than that the rest are crap
@@MARINECORPS61992113 shit taste
@@wsx2000lol ge90 is the world's most overrated engine. change my mind
@@MARINECORPS61992113 your opinion is crap actually
GE90 hands down. That spool-up sound announces that something massive is coming to life.
The GE-90-115 on the 777 sounds amazing
Ok so don’t get me wrong I love all these engines but in this video there were 3 that hit hard
0:11 CFM-56-5A1
11:28 CFM-56-5C4
12:30 RR trent XWB-84
Completely agree. Amazing sounds
and 2:22 IAE V500
CFM-56-5A1..i do not understand why those engines have such a strong resonating sound at wide open. To me a GE or lycoming sounds smoother at full throttle.
@@poucxs9246 agreed the GE sounds smoother. I love the GE90 too!
But I prefer the stronger sound of the CFM and RR.
the sound of the trent XWB is bone chilling. you have to hear it irl!
9:37 GE90 Jr.
Most favorite definitely the GE90 and XWB
I agree
A340-600 love that deep sound. The A320 neo kind of sounded smaller but deeper as well. oh but your 2nd one the E190 was just funny because out of nowhere that little buzz saw sound came out to play lol
XD, yeah. there is a bit of interesting science to that buzzing sound.
Who doesn't love a Rolls Royce Trent when you hear it after the plane takes off? (say you live in a town near an airport and you catch it after it takes off) The sound of it coming closer just gives me goosebumps and i love it (Especially the A330),
Haven't gotten to that part of the clip, but I'm like a junkie waiting
Love The Sound Of ROLLS ROYCE TRENT ENGINES!!
I LOVE THE TRENT 700 ENGINES AND I LIKE THE ROLLS ROYCE
757 RR RB211’s all day and night. It was the best out of SNA. Pure joy
I know its not on here, but nothing can beat the distinct whine of the RR RB211's on take off, which have powered jet2's 757's for years
I thought I was powered by Trent 1000 engines
@@rastaastablasta1383 No the Trent 1000 is on the 787. The RB211 is used on the 757, on BAs 747s and 767s, and on the Lockheed L1011 back when it still was in service.
Going to be ashame when they're all retired soon, believe G-LSAI is going after the summer as G-LSAB is currently on the scrap compound at DGX
I agree
Nothing can beat JT3D!
The Boeing 707 has JT3D Turbofan engines. I don't fly on airplanes but I just love the sounds of their engines.
My absolute favorite is the general electric ge90-115b
Trent XWB-97 turbofan engines get my juices flowing, just love the sound of these engines powering up.
Love me some GE90’s but DAAAMN THOSE 350 TRENTS!!! Talk about a BEAST
the sound of four cfm56 at takeoff power. just glorious
Jet engine is my favorite invention which is second to none when it’s come to performance and practicality.
I'm melting thank you!
If there's one thing I don't love about modern/newer aircraft, its that they don't have the same sound and vibe of vintage planes and engines.
Great video, they all look & sound amazing.
Fond memories of pass riding on many EAL L-1011’s. Still the best takeoff noise ever!
OMG Jumbolino! Brings up memories!
love the evening departure out of boston at the end ☺ !
My only question is why the RR Tay engine on the F100 sounds like my food blender.
The greatest ASMR of all time 😩
Of course the A320 with the buzzing noise 🤩
I actually liked the A340-300 engine noise the best.
I like the sound they make. On the other hand, for four engines, they are incredibly quiet. Flew on Iberia from MAD to ORD on an A340. It was almost an 11 hr flight but the A340 was so quiet I was able to sleep whenever I wanted to.
You mean the sound from the 4 apu s? 😂
Really nice and nothing beats the ge90
In this video my favorite are:
RR Trent XWB😎
CFM56
IAE v2500
GE90
Trent 700
Fortunately, I'm not the only crazy person who finds the high-revving Trubofan engines fascinating 😍😍😁😁
My favourite is absolutely the famous General Electric GE90-115B ❤ and a good feeling about the Dash 8 engine 🎉
Love the sounds❤
Very biased but number 1 is a very clear choice and ahead of the others
1. General Electric GE90-115B
2. Rolls Royce Trent 772
3. Rolls Royce Trent XWB
4. IAE V2527-500
5. General Electric GEnx-1B
6. CFM56-7B26
You’re crazy. GE90 sounds like my dyson. It has no buzzsaw roar. XWB way better sounding
@@82_930 im actually glad buzzroar is slowly leaving the airline industry
Nah cf6 all the way. You gotta ride the plane to understand and get the chills. Modern planes like 777 can’t give you that experience because of increased sound dampening.
@@alphawolf0196 I gotta disagree.. you need to hear PW1100G’s at 104% N1. Best sounding engine hands down, very loud roar when at full power.
LOOVE all the engine sounds
Amazing video! Superb stuff
Thank you so much :)
I already know IAE and RB211 will always be my favorites
I had my luck to fly all three 4 engine jet liner in one trip. A340-600 fra to DFW, then DFW to SYD in A380, then SYD to LHR via SIN in a B747-400
Great video!
Thank you for posting this great video compilation! I appreciate your efforts and your generosity. I believe you saved the best for last: RR Trent 556-61, whose sound I love, especially during spool-up. I confess, though, that my favorite remains the Rolls-Royce RB211-524G/H that powered BA's 747-436 and 767-336 aircraft. It makes glorious music. Alas, those engines are no longer available for us to hear from inside an airplane. Thank you again for your excellent compilation!
Tristar RB-211s are lovely too!
@@WolfpackOne absolutely! I vividly recall that sound from having flown aboard many TriStars with TWA and Delta.
@@bbinchi While I'm too young to have heard them personally, I've seen many videos of them online, and from my dad's collection of videos when they flew around Sri Lanka
8:07 I remember testing this Air King box fan that sounded like that on high speed
4:26 It sounds like a 707
That A346 took me by surprise - what a NOISE!
i just love the bR715 sound on the 717-200 and i love all engines on the A320 Series especially the cfm and iaes. Also the GE90 and Trent XWB
No list is complete without RB211’s!!!!
4x trents are impossible to beat!
2 GE90 sound way better
@@MARINECORPS61992113 put them side by side and we'll see about that
@@gasviation9077 four treats vs four GE90-115Bs ok everyone knows that GE sounds way better than the trents
@@MARINECORPS61992113 now its unfair mate
list some aspects that the ge90 sounds good. I've never actually thought the ge90 sounds any different, its just low pitch, boring and quiet.
Trent 556 on the A346 by far 😍
Great idea for this video! I personally like the sound of the A340-600.
Growing up my favorite jet sounds were the 727 and 747-200.
Trent 500 is my new favorite
Followed closely by the CF-6
The Pratt & Whitney's on the Dash 8 were cool and musical. The Rolls Royce on the A350-900 have a growl and ultra-low frequency that is reassuring and confident.
Trent 700 on A330-300, my favorite aircraft since childhood.
A great way to finish the video.Good ol Logan intl
14 is fire
The a340-300 has the best engine sound
The Super 80 will always hold a special place in my heart.
The A320Neo Take Off Sound made me subscribe this channel ❤
I just love how oversized the engines are on the a220
Rj100, love the sound ❤
Almost weird how quiet those A320 neo engines are. My first time on one i was shocked at how quiet it was
Nothing can beat the beautiful sound of the Rolls Royce Trent 700
Just the sound of that turbocharger-like whine of the GE90 just brings peace to this world.
*#7 but the absolute best jet engine sound is from the F-15 Eagle without a doubt.*
Thank you SwissCyul for the editing, and lack of chatter, narration, or any other add ons. Nice ending as well.
I love the buzz of GE. The absolute best though is the seats alllll the way back in a Mad Dog….you know, the seats with no windows between the engines. Loud as hell. Don’t have to worry about talking to anyone!
I really liked the A350 Trent engines they hit hard on the runway and sounded great but for me nothing can beat the MASSIVE GE90s on the B777
GE-90 for Boeing 777-300ER is the best. But totally engine sound is the best music in the world
3.18 has the most accurate cabin noise during take off.
My favorite are the airbus a320, the 320 neo and the airbus a340
I love the a320 cfm!
#7 the RJ100 sounded real sweet when the pilot spoiled it up.
My favorite are the ones that keep making a sound.
I love the a330neo takeoff sound😊
My favorite in the video is the A350 with the Trent XWB, but my actual favorite is the CFM Leap on the A321neo
The hum of the engines and sounds of the composite fan scratching the cowling are just 😩
Edit: after further consideration I put the CFM Leap in 2nd behind the TF39
Just take a listen to the engine at idle and at full throttle
I love the Trent XWB 84k.
I looooove the Trent 700!! And XWB
gotta love the GE90
the a320 by far, that iconic buzz is too good to let go
I wish you could roll the little windows down for T/O LOL
Every plane engine music to my ears
RR trent XWB-84 does it for me. Orgasmic!
A320 (CFM 56-5A1) is the best imo.
The last one's engine scream was scary
It sounded like a haunted plane in the beginning
@@l.n963 Fr lol
RR Trent engines are the best for me but I love all of 'em. The propellers Engines sound so classic and I like those engines U posted!!!
I love flying these planes they just have the best noises now😁
THE A350 RR TRENT XWB-84 IS MY FAVOURITE
Woow the CFM56 sounds good
15 is my fav ge90 one of the powerful Engines and even Trent XWB and GENX GE9X engines too
GE 90 - 115 B is Silent Supreme Being of Engines
A320 and A320 neo is literally my favourite plane
The act for the AC A320 really said immediate takeoff, he was practically spooling up on the taxi way.
Oh dang that Q400 sounds like home, that’s all that really lands at my home airport.
CFM just hits different with that roar
The a320ceo has such a roar
For me, the Boeing 757 and its Rolls Royce RB211 engines will always be on top.
a220 was the best spool up. oh wait there was none haha it was so damn quiet which i love.
Damn, those PW1500G on the A220-100 are very quiet!
it's got to be the a350. amazing sound
My personal favorites in this video - the A350 and the Dash8.. Out of this video - B707 and Tu154... ;)
The A340-600 spool up is damn creepy.
Its feeling like the moment everything was shaking and voices sounded went to the high chords and low chords until the songs were heard and went into silent
