GE for me. They all have unique sounds but the GE is a beast.
That low hum gives me eargasn.
It's very dull compared to the other 2 ge sounds bad
@@1999fxdx Flanders, stupid Flanders!
I don’t get the hype, it doesn’t growl like the PW nor the RR
The 777 GE90 engines sound like a Siemens Velaro train leaving the station.
PW4000: the middle sibling
GE-90: the oldest mature one
Trent 800: that one loud sibling
Trent one sounds coolest by far
@@motormusique is crazy the GE-90 sounds much better
@@edmanuelrodriguez8326 it sounds like a hair dryer, RR sounds like it runs on blood
@@CARBONHAWK1 RR sounds like a hoarse the mentor the GE90 sounds better than blood vote
I respect RR as a brand but it's too loud which is not relaxing at all.
I love the roaring sound of the Trent 800
But i prefer ge90-115b
@@danishandrian4603 GE fanboy really wants to brainwash everyone into liking the GE-90
@@danishandrian4603 Why? It's more boring, doesn't even roar?
GE-90 by far, is the quietest, and best.
We like the loudest though
so Trent
Not for 12 hours no.
Planes don't use take-off power for the whole flight. :P This video isn't comparing cruise sounds.
The GE-90 has more excess thrust, so it tends to take-off and climb with a lower throttle setting (de-rated).
Laron Woods apparently the PW4000 is the quietest
Gotta say, I absolutely love the buzzsaw sound of the PW starting at 1:00
Sounds like my 250cc honda on the highway
This is why i like the PW
@@3SPR1T ge fanboy
Bro ge90-115b beast
Pratt and Whitney better in the military though
Best engines in order
1.GE90
2.Trent 800
3.PW4000
Who agrees?
yes GE has the most quiet engine sound and PW has the most noisy sound.
Sepehr Salimi yep i agree
Ovat 83 Agree 1. GE 2 PW 3 RR
330Nowairplane
Everyone will say the GE90 is the best, but can I like the PW4000 more.
The GE makes happiness in my pants...
Omg yes
GE gives me wet dreams.
Timi tmi
Wth in ur pants....
Why? Sounds like a washing machine. The RR Trent 800 was impressive. To each their own.
Depends on what you like:
1. Most GRIT and POWER: Rolls Royce by far
2. Nice turbo WHINE and classic 777 takeoff sound: Pratt & Whitney
3. Quietest and MELLOW RUMBLE: GE
I like em all... no way to say one is better than the other! :)
Scott Anthony agreed!
Scott Anthony actually power goes to GE
The GE-90 is the worlds most powerful commercial jet engine
turbo whine really? Maybe compressor spool or turbine harmonics
GE is 18% more powerful than the RR, larger diameter. P&W a "classic" 777 sound? The original 2 engines on the 777 were R&R and GE, I guess that would be the "Classic" sound huh?
Scott Anthony I'm going to agree with you. Noiseiest and sounded almost like they were straining, are the RR. PW is similar to the GEs but with that classic buzz sound, in a bigger, slightly muffled way. The GEs seem to handle the flight with ease. No straining, and are quieter.
P&W all the way!!! It wasn’t included in the clip, but a very cool offset pitch hum happens when the throttle is increased. This happens on most P&W engines. And that low rumble is just amazing!
Best spool up:
1. GE-90
2. RR Trent
3. P&W
Best sound at full throttle - reverse order ;)
The latter is definitely an agreement! :)
I agree but PW has a vacuum cleaner sound on Taxi this is particularly evident if you tried Korean Air B777-200/er & B777-300 with prestige lie flat seats note that some of the B777-200/er have A380 seats
Pratt & Whitney
HANDS DOWN The GE-90 is happiness
for me its the GE-90
I have to say the ge-90 is the best followed by the Trent 800 and pw4000 in last place.
Totally Agree!!
+Nick Lang I do agree !!!!!
+Nick Lang Totally agree
Agree.
Agree
I love the PW ! Thanks for all these sound uploads. I love the sound the mass that is a jet engine produces.
GE 90 The most powerful jet engine in the world!
TheRjjrjjr naaa
Grand Moff Tarkin nope ge90-115 produce 115,000lb thrust no RR engine and PW powerful than ge90
Grand Moff Tarkin The ge90 is more powerful
The most powerful TURBOFAN jet engine
the GE-115B is most powerful engine, beats even the new GE-9X which powerplant for the new Boeing 777X series
G.E. sounds like it has the most power left if demand rate is ever called upon. That hammering mechanical sound of the Rolls is comforting at take-off, also. I didn't even know that P&W were still in the game!
The Trent 800 is incredibly loud. I only realized that when a AA 777 flew over my house last night. I live near Paine Field so I am used to the GEnxs and GE90s, but when I heard the Trent I thought a 747 or something was flying over me!
The PW was quiet, the Trent was cool and the GE 90 was huge and awesome I love it.
Amazing. Thanks for posting. GE-90 by far....smooth as silk
I like the General Electric GE90
Me too like ge90 much better sound and saver
Ge is just so pure and balanced, it love it
Awesome video! They all sound so different. I thought the Rolls Royce would be the quietest, but it seemed the loudest to me. I like the smooth sounds of the GE, very nice!
I can’t choose Pratt or GE, sounds of both them is INCREDIBLE!
Wow! I like all of them! I guess my favorite would be the roar of the Trent... Thanks for the video.
No worries, thanks for commenting!
@Chrissieluv - The Trent 800 roar is the best!
They're all great, but I've always been partial to Pratt & Whitney ever since I first heard the JT3-powered 707 and DC-8 when I was a kid. The 747's original JT9s were awesome sounding as well.
Terrific video.
I've always been a fan of the GE-90, it just has that great sound.
The GE sounds amazing. By far my favorite!!
That Pratt is dirty!!!!! Badass.
Please never use that x-ray effect
+Speedbird Totally agree :-)
Why not? It looks like a moving line drawing which is pretty cool.
It's more of an edge-detector.
@American Aviation yes
@@xtusvincit5230 A moving line drawing??? You mean an animation/cartoon?!?!
I kinda like the drone of the P&W. The GE is the smoothest and the Rolls sound like it's about to explode.
Amazing video! The Trent 800 has some awesome power but I love the wine if the GE90!
PW and GE engine make me feel the flight has a really smooth take off
GE>PW>RR
I like a nice sounding quiet engine and the GE sounds amazing!! I love them all!
my favorite is the first but all the sounds are very good !
Ohh those GE-90's send shivers down my spine. 👍
At 2:26 there is a dreamlifter
Captain Kelsey from 74Gear
Nice eyes u got there bruv
For Awesomeness: The Low roar of the PW4000, But comfort: The GE90
1. General Electric 90 has a Unique Powerful engine roar
2. The RR Trent 800 is a Powerful Beast Roar with high sound
3. Pratt & Whitney 1000 has a noisy engine roar
PW1000? thats not even a thing...
RR Trent for me...love the buzzsaw effect from it. Then the PW4600.
I've been waiting for this video! I love all of them, but the Trent 800 and GE90 are both the best for me. Since the PW4000 is less popular, I haven't heard it as much, but it is almost as good. The best spool-up sound is the GE-90.
***** They each have their ups and downs, imo. The PW4000 has a hair-raisingly amazing spool up,the GE90 has a nice, low pitch and generally really good sounds, same goes for the T800 except that it has a pretty high pitch.
This is the world's hardest choice, and I would go fully Feltham Magistrates Court on this xD
Court has now begun
All sound beautiful no doubt. But i like the GE-90 bad boys
What an outstanding video, truly! They all sound awesome! Just different bottles of Cabernet, that's all! 🤓
I'm all about loud & obnoxious so gonna have to go w/the RR Trent. I will say though, despite the GE90 bein' the most powerful outta the 3, shockingly it sounded like it was the quietest in my opinion. Enjoyed the vid as always!!
Pratt & Whitney PW4000 Engines are my favourite followed by the GE-90
Nice class 90 pic you have there btw
all of these power plants are amazing. i trust flying with any of these. but the way a ge motor spools up and that scream is ear porn!
I'm dying🤣
I love it! Ear porn! I agree, too!
Pratt and Whitney, that roar! But the Roles Royce is louder but I like the Pratt and Whitney.
That GE motor is a beast! My favorite.
The Trent 800 is my favorite without a doubt. My least fav is the GE, but I like them all.
GE90 is best engine
RR. Love the spool up, buzz and when it slows down
My favorite is the Rolls-Royce. My second favorite is the GE-90 with the PW right behind it. Love them all!
I have to say the GE90 sounds amazing on initial spool up
Yep
How to choose your favorite engine:*For overall refinement, quietness, and unbelievable massive gobs of power- GE-90*For amazing sound and a satisfying "deep growl"- PW4000*And for the classic loud "buzz saw" sound (which I find annoying but other people seem to love it)- Trent 800
Agree, i don’t like the buzzsaw sound. It doesn’t belong to a jet engine
The initial spool up on the GE90 is music to my ears and it's such a quiet sounds, but I dont know what it is about the RR Trent 800's humming sound that just grabs my attention. It's a beautiful sound but the GE90 is just so much more iconic.
Sounds like the last one is the most soothing one of the three of them
The GE is the quietest .. the Rolls Royce has the best growl.
the ge90 is still the beast
@@chardonnay5408 Ur deaf, the Rolls Royce is literally the winner
My favorite is GE90
me too
My favority Pratt and Whitney PW4000 whit header and exaust 6.5 great sound
Love the sound of the GE-90!!
PW4000 was my favorite
No competition. Ge hands down
Hey, this is a cool video, lots of nice engine sounds and.. IS THAT A DREAMLIFTER??
4:09 ooh that sound is amazing 🤩
GE hands down. I prefer jet engines to sound like jet engines and not buzzsaws.
+Drive On! The GE did not have the roar because it wasn't on full power. All though it is a lot quieter than the other two when actually at full power, it still does sound like a buzzsaw just a bit.
Every takeoff has a different power setting, so that’s not a good way to compare them
at ful power it sounds like a mega kirby
I'll take the quieter GE90 and I slightly prefer the low rumble of the PW4000 than the growl of RR.
Those new GE engines are QUIET, WOW!!! My fav would have 2 be the RR though...I can't get enough of that classic engine growl. Even though it's clearly the loudest of the group, that sound is so appeasing to my ears it'd probably put me 2 sleep, ha. As always, thx 4 doin' these comps. Keep posting & I'll keep watching...Nate- Pittsburgh, PA ;-)
Nothing can beat the thick GE-90 engines!
Love the sound of the Rools Royce Trent 800 engine
*Rolls-Royce
same
Personally, I adore the sound of the RR-Trent....!!!
I couldn’t agree more
ALL THOSE ENGINE SO COOL!!!!!
Oh love that GE90 engine sound the roar is the best
The PW400,,what a BEAST !!
i thought i was the only one that really like the power and sound...
Correct but you're based in Manila Philippines or Cebu City the only route to use that engine is going towards Incheon Airport because Manila or Cebu to Hong Kong Cathay Pacific is a Trent 800 route.
No, Trent 800 is more beast
0:02 RIP P&W4000 on that united airline T.T
I love listening to the GE90 engines they are so beautiful
love the trent's whine. but that ge has such a specific sound that i'll pick it out from a crowd of running engines.
GE90: Nicest most gentle sounding engine ever
PW4000: Tries to roar like a lion but growls like one instead.
Rolls Royce Trent 800: Most violent sounding engine ever
GE90 for sure
There nothing can beat that sound
Muito Interessante Mesmo esse Detalhe dos Motores dos 777
Parabéns
The last one is the most chill engine sound
Check out this awesome 777 engine comparison video! Vote for your favorite!
+Mah584jr HD Aviation I like them all but probably RR
***** Mine would be RR :)
The signature BRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTT excites me everytime :)
***** RR sounds like a giant fridge's noise
***** The sound of the GE90 engine is music to the ears, very beautiful!
***** RR Trent 800 ..The most unreliable engine on 777...Nobody bought it and it went bust..
2:25 Dreamlifter spotted
The Trent 800s and GE90s are my favorites!
It's nice to know I'm no the only one who can tell the difference between the top 3 spool up sound. I get weird looks when I say this...lol.... Sometimes I don't always get it right, but they each have their own particular sweet sound!
GE-90 best sound
1. GE90
2. PW4000
3. Trent 800
GE,PW or RR they are all awesome on the 777
all those engines are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Trent 800 wins every single time, loove that sound !
oh yeah.. who doesn't love barrel cavitation.... guess its sort of like how the british think crooked teeth are a character feature....
Of course I agree
The Trent's sound like they have to work really hard to get that beast in the air. The GEs do it with ease, and are quieter.
Sounds good, but in a long-haul flight I prefer a quieter engine such as GE
Do they even make those engines anymore
Hey can you do an A330 engine comparison video?
It would be super fun to be the airline execute to choose which Power Plant that will be placed under the wing. I shy away from P & W. So I would choose the GE90 even though I love Rolls - Royce.
love that I "pre" machine parts for all 3 of these bad boys.
GE90 is best. Imagine the new GE9X
In fact GE90 produces more thrust than the new GE9X which is already out and installed on the 777X. It's far more quiet and more fuel efficient and 59 cm bigger. It produces 109,000lbs of thrust and the GE90 produces 118,000lbs of thrust.
Doge Bomber ok
Thanks
You won't need a jumbo jet to fly around the world anymore, with the thrust of the GE9x. A twin-engine wide-body will get you anywhere on the planet, and cheaper! Cannot wait to see those 777x's at airports for the first time.
the pratt and witney PW 4000 and the roller royce trent 800 sounds great!
i love those engines !
GE is Evil!!!!!!! great power-P&W is cool too.. Rolls Royce sounds like an old Chainsaw.......
The GE-90 is friggin massive! And sounds the best!
GE90... I love how it sounds!⚡⚡⚡💪💪💪👏👏👏
The PWs on 777 sound like the engines on Airbus A380.
Dennis Salamante the Engine Alliance GP7000 or RR Trent 900s?
That's because the GP7200 are developed from the PW4000
GE90 all the way.
I like a decent buzz on my Turbofans, so it has to be the Trent! The GE-90 is the best engine in general, but the Trent 800 has the best sound for me.
even though I like massive engines the Trent 800 is my favourite by far, the roar on that engine
