    I have made this quilt and it looks amazing I used the snowballed blocks left overs and there is enough to go around the quilt. I am going to quilt it when it gets more chilly weather. I did a 1 1/2 inch white border then another white after using the left over boarder just so it sat on the bed and overlapped a little I am thrilled with this design and have started another one Thank you so much Jenny I have played this so many times as I completed each task Best wishes and God Bless from over the pond

    I love the fabric choice - very patriotic. As a mother of Iraq War Veteran - fontline-combact medic with 82nd Airborne with 2 tours in Iraq I love patriotic quilts. I definitely need to make this quilt with this fabric

    This is another great and easy quilt tutorial. I owe 90% of my confidence in my quilting skills (and pre-cut fabrics) to MSQC videos and Jenny's great teaching skills in keeping her instructions real and simple. I'm making quilts and hope to be able to sell some of them soon. Yea!!! Which will assist me in my happy 😄 retirement.

    OMG!! I wanted to see what the "dislike" thumb comments showed, but it added "Me" as a "dislike". That is so incorrect. I love it and I have actually started making it with Batik shades of the ocean colours with the pinwheels done in very pale green and cream solids. I am enjoying this quilt. Thank you so much for this fantastic opportunity.

    I love the way this is put together. I don't think I'll use strips with print. looks to busy. but I love it. I was sad to she Jenny put all those little squares to the side but then she did the border! BAM! over the top. 😆

    • @marcellespeake4272
      @marcellespeake4272 5 лет назад

      I really love this strip set and would love to do this. But I agree with you about it being busy. It would be less so if the blocks were turned to be a true rail fence before snowballing so you could make sure they were on the correct corners. Have seen this done elsewhere, and it does make a big difference.

    Jenny is as nice and friendly in person as she appears online. I love how you find new ways to redo old patterns. The sewing of the leftover triangles not used, and reusing them in the edge is genius! I will use that idea again. I hope you can come back to the River Heiritage Quilt guild in Cape Girardeau again. You have been my favorite speaker, EVER. I have used several of your ideas making quilts, and work out well.

    I did finish this quilt a little over a year ago before the Caribbean cruise with Jenny and Lynn Hagemeier. I love it. I would like to do another one just like it, but I can't find that fabric. It is sold out "forever". I guess I could get similar yardage and cut my own Jelly Roll. I have two sons who served in the military. One did 24 years in the Navy and another about 10 years in the Army and National Guard. So I would really love to give each of them one. I love the quilt and I really enjoyed making the border. I have made several of Jenny's quilts, but this one was the most fun. They were all fun, but this one is my favorite.

With it's red, white and blue colors I know that it will make a beautiful Quilts of Honor that I may donate for a war veteran. I recently purchased the August 2014 issue of Block at Meissner's in Sacramento. It has so many wonderful patterns, photos and ideas that I have ordered all other back copies of your Block magazine, and subscribed to future issues. Ann Witten WOW....I didn't notice the thumbs down Ann....I suppose not everyone likes the tutorials, but to me, if you don't care of it, just move on....There's been a couple of the tutorials I have seen over the almost 3 yrs since finding MSQC online , and I have never ever given a thumbs down for the tutorials I didn't care for.....While everyone's entitled to their own opinions.....MSQC is the best in my opinion they really are ! :-)

      Ann Witten Ann, my son spends a lot of time on social media and he said to ignore the trolls. I have found some batik blue with white stars, a ruby red batik and a white crackle fabric that I want to use in this quilt to carry on the patriotic theme. I'll send a pick when it's done. :)

    I already have a patriotic looking quilt top still waiting to be put together, but I have a lot of other strips waiting to be made into something. I think I'll try this pattern with them. Thanks for all the great ideas!
