Very pretty! I have to laugh I use to think when Jenny says I take a few anchoring stitches, I thought she said I take a few angry stitches. I said why would Jenny say angry? So I listened more closely and had a good laugh at myself. 🤣 Happy Friday everyone!
I like that you explain some of the basic sewing techniques / terms ( example CHAIN PIECING) a lot of new quilters come to your videos and it helps them.
I love this quilt, it's amazing. When I was watching the video an idea poped up and I thought, why not making it like a night sky, with darf blue background and different white, yellow etc. fabrics, maybe with a little glitter, too. Thank you Jenny you made another great job 🥰
I love this quilt. I have this jelly roll. Guess what I can make. I love my 8x2.5 ruler. I use it ALL of the time. Thanks again Jenny for another winner.
My daughter in law gave me a batik jelly roll this summer. Haven’t been able to figure out what I wanted to do with it. I might use it for this. No white strips in it so I’ll have to get some extra background fabric.
When the video first opened, I was in complete shock!! I took my breath away! Just BEAUTIFUL!! Cannot wait to make one for us! You are truly an amazing woman Jenny Doan!!
I love this quilt! It comes together so quickly! I also enjiyed seeing the antique blocks. Inspiration is everywhere! Thank you for sharing this with us!
This quilt is spectacular, Jenny!! I'm so glad the stars are done the "wonky" way. It's so freeing to create them by that method. Thanks, Jenny! You're amazing! 💕
Man, Jenny is a speedy sewist! Love this fun design with slightly wonky stars and soaring triangles! I think this would look great with a dark twinkle ✨ star fabric background or blue clouds/sky background. Love 💕 it, and adding this one to my “Quilts I Want to Make” folder!
The mind is swirling!! I am sure this is a pattern that I could make several times and each one would come out differently! Love those patterns! Happy Quilting! 🧵🌲🎁
I was glad you did make a comment about back stitching as I have seen some do this and some people don’t. I do if it is a really small piece and I want to be sure everything stays together. Thanks 😊
To cut down on waste, could use HST triangle paper or do the easy 16 with a 10" square (and cut down to 2.5") for the initial HSTs. Could make this easier by not making the wonky star and just adding a 2.5" square as a cornerstone between the 4 units.
What a great quilt! Different fabric choices will give this quilt different looks. You could make one for each season of the year & they would all look great. Thanks, Jenny, for another great tutorial. I love it!!
Darling quilt! I'll have to put it on my quilting bucket list. I was fascinated to see that as a lefty you use scissors like a righty. We're a family of lefties, my mom, all 3 of us kids & my dad's twin brother. My sister was the only one who did EVERYTHING left handed. I iron right handed, knit lefthanded but cast on right handed. Isn't that crazy?!
First time I have watched one of your videos and I am fascinated by your iron. I'm in Australia and have never seen a self lifting iron before. Love the quilt, so pretty.
Love it! I did wonky stars for the first time on a quilt for my Mom using your Summer Stars pattern. So fun! Been looking for another chance to make them again. Thank you for giving us another super pretty pattern using those cute little stars 💖 Merry Christmas to everyone at MSQC. 🎄
Storm at Sea is the pattern I keep hoping for every Friday morning, and like Sarah says, without all those expensive templates. Storm at Sea quilts are beautiful, especially when the right fabrics are chosen.
Such a wonderful quilt. I have been looking for a pattern for my soon to be born 6th grandchild. I love the name Stargazer. My son is such a lover of anything star and space related. I am going to attempt to scale the block down for a baby quilt. I am not a fan of small fussy pieces, so wish me luck.
I forgot it was Friday! It's almost as good as payday Friday, lol. Anyway. I love this quilt. Yes it definitely should be from scraps but this old girl does not like scraps so I'll be cutting up a jelly and making it. I love your tutorials. P.s. I'll be there to see you for a retreat next year! I'm beyond excited!
Love your bright energy, Jenny, and love the finished quilt. There is a bit more waste than I am comfortable with so maybe I would construct the flying geese portion with triangles. It’s already a fiddly block and that wouldn’t add a whole lot more fiddle lol.
What a fun bright quilt & the pattern lends itself to so many design possibilities. Once again my brain is busy with the What if Factor (2.5 in strips instead of the 1.5 in or having the geese fly away from the stars...Hmm???) Being able to use leftover precut strips is very appealing & helps stave off guilt over any perceived waste. I know I am not the only person that thinks about it so just putting it out there. This pattern has a very appealing pineapple/ log cabin feel to it that look so good but I haven't allowed myself to consider lately because of the waste. There are times/patterns that make it worthwhile & this one fits very nicely., Oh the sacrifices we quilters make to create our beautiful quilts right? The struggle is real! LOL :) It is kind of foggy here in Calif today so sewing cheerful looking fabrics together into a pleasing pattern is just the thing to keep the winter blahs away. Thank You Jenny for making my day brighter & for the inspiration You give with these great tutorials. God Bless You :)
Oooh boy it’s Friday here we go. AAAHhhh pretty quilt Jenny.
Hai Jenny I love your tutorial fro Malaysia.
Very pretty! I have to laugh I use to think when Jenny says I take a few anchoring stitches, I thought she said I take a few angry stitches. I said why would Jenny say angry? So I listened more closely and had a good laugh at myself. 🤣 Happy Friday everyone!

So sweet! You have such a natural way on camera 📸
This really looks like a fun quilt. I may never leave my sewing machine again… oops I do have to go the quilt shop…😊
Or you could just order online and and have it all delivered to your doorstep! 😉
@@HRHDMKYT That is very true.
Every time I watch one of these I decide I need that little ruler. Thank heaven I finally realized I already have more than 1
You look so healthy lately, just beautiful! Best to your family, Merry Christmas. Great tutorial
“Get up and iron, like a good girl” haha, just the kind of thing I tell myself (sometimes). Your videos make my day. 💕
Super cute. Looks like a lot of work but worth a try. Thanks again Jenny.

Interesting method to make the blocks. Very pretty💛🇦🇺
Fantastic spin to make this old block in an easier way! I love using the jelly roll with those pops of color against the white. Thank you Jenny👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Really love this quilt. So perfect for using up scraps!

I'd love to see a "Storm at Sea"- type quilt.
Yes that would be lovely. Especially if it doesn’t use the expensive rulers!
Storm at Sea is the pattern I keep hoping for every Friday morning, and like Sarah says, without all those expensive templates. Storm at Sea quilts are beautiful, especially when the right fabrics are chosen.
Wow, the snowballed log cabin bits would make a great stash buster for that pile of two and a half inch squares we all have!
Such a wonderful quilt. I have been looking for a pattern for my soon to be born 6th grandchild. I love the name Stargazer. My son is such a lover of anything star and space related. I do the x4 flying geese method, you have to be accurate as there is no wiggle room but zero waste.
Love it!!!
LOVE it!!!
I Just like your pattern:)))
Great tutorial!

Very pretty.
Cute as a button. Couldn’t help thinking mini wonky star at each sashing block. It’s a sickness!
