I agree especially this time of year! I get the most bites whenever I’m hardly working it most of the time. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
My lake is open water with only grass on the bottom so, I cast my jig and end up dragging it all the way back. I've had some success with chunk type craw trailers as well as with finesse TRD trailers. But, I've had more success with a shrunken ZMan Big TRD. I cut them to # 3" from 4" and throw them on a Power Finesse Shroomz. With all of the matted bottom grass my jig tends to get lost in that stuff. The Big TRD stands up and at least is visible to the fish. Caught my 2023 PB on a Big TRD last week here in NJ. The Deal.
Chunk style trailers do well too especially whenever you’re wanting to go with a more compact profile! I love the big TRD for targeting some big river smallmouth. Have you tried out the zman ticklerz before? They do pretty well this time of year too. Zman has been coming out with some good products here this past year. Congratulations on your new PB the deal is a great color? How much did your new PB weigh?
Thanks man I’m glad you enjoyed the tips! I’ll try to work on that for the next video but I really appreciate the feedback and I really appreciate you watching
Thanks for posting. I think the biggest problem people have with the jig is definitely over working it.
