Nice day on one of my favorite riversThose boots were dragging you down. Boots that hold water are no bueno summer kayak fishing. If you had on some old sneakers or something you probably wouldn't have gotten your foot stuck. And if you had a well fitting pair of felt bottom wadeing boots you probably wouldn't have fallen. Great video though, the quality had definitely improved I haven't seen one of your's in a while and you are getting a lot better about camera angle and positioning. Keep up the good work, I'll probably see you out there sometime and say hi, we fish all the same places.

Nice smallies! I've mostly fished largemouth but may switch it up some. I don’t expect you to give up your spots but can you recommend some areas in the river where the water is calm enough for kayak fishing? I've seen some areas where the current would definitely take you down river
There’s lots of good places to kayak the French broad depending on where you’re at. I’ve heard the Tennessee section has some good smallmouth in it but the North Carolina section I’m more familiar with. This time of year the flow isn’t too bad so now is a good time to explore. I mainly fish around the Asheville and woodfin section. Hopefully this helps some and if you got any other questions if you’re on facebook join the western North Carolina smallmouth club. I came sooo close to getting one of these. I gave in and got a Humminbird Solix instead. This is 100% the next choice I would make though.

I’m very fortunate to have what I have and good friends to fish with. I love fishing for fun and getting to make good memories with my buddies. I started tournament fishing this year out of my kayak but I try not to take it too seriously and to make sure i have a good time out on the water. At the end of the day though the most important thing is the memories I can share with my friends that we’ll talk about for the rest of our lives. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it

Isn't the French Broad a really dirty river?
It can be but it’s not that bad in my opinion compared to other rivers in western North Carolina. I definitely wouldn’t swim in it or eat any of the fish out of there that’s for sure. Thank you for watching I really appreciate it!
The identifier only needs to be visible completely, both boxes do not need to be visible. The extra boxes are for extra tournament identifier. If you have a double tournament or online event that box can be used for those identifiers. Most of us just write it down more so that if we accidently cover one or get a sun glare, there will be more opportunity to see it
