When it comes to chemistry, I actually think it's something that can be intentionally grown and nursed. It's not always something that just comes naturally or easily. And there may be seasons in marriage where you have more or less chemistry and that's why it's so important to be intentional and not just rely on your natural and instinctual chemistry in a marriage. Awesome podcast and life changing and it will make a ripple effect for others through me thank you! Being a beginner catholic I’m learning a lot from you guys so thank you!
If you accept a Christian view of Marriage, and roles therein, going to the knee, understood in the Christian sense, by the man who would be head of the household, is the sign that he desires to offer his life in service to the weaker, the woman, who would be the person in service to him. Normally a man would go on their knee in fealty to a man who they view to be head and leader, stronger than them and whom they are willing to die for. When you see this, a man going to his knee is such a great sign of this beautiful paradox of Christian Marriage. The woman accepting is not only accepting this fealty but also the life of service to this man.
I don't think that work in my opinion, and I mean this only as my opinion, I don't think godly people would treat preparation/discerning marriage as something of a show. But that's just my opinion.
The cholerics and their energy. I adored listening to this couple, it’s so authentic . Being phlegmatic, this temperament has drained me, Lord have mercy with the indecisiveness, and thinking that saying no is a sin. 🤣
I was homeschooled and that's exactly what my parents did, hire a student that teach us the "hard" things like algebra and chemestry. I belive that's amazing. I ended up pretty well. Went to College and now I'm a professional in what I'm an expert... I work from home. lol.
Lol, You ended up pretty good!? Well? These days they mix up those words so much I think I’ve forgotten what’s true!😂 That’s wonderful that your mom homeschooled you. I homeschooled my kids, too, but I sent my kids to the local JC when they got to Algebra 2. By then, I felt they were strong enough in their faith that they could handle being thrown to the lions. It sparked some good conversations, too. If I had the money, I would have hired someone, too!
It’s funny, because I feel the opposite way. The way they weren’t attracted to each other… it’s just not my thing. I don’t see the chemistry here. Like brother and sister.
Great interview! I have a question for Cameron: When you had sepsis, were you given fluoroquinolone antibiotics (Cipro, Levaquin, Avelox)? What you described sounds a lot like being "floxed" or fluoroquinolone associated disability (FQAD). This is something I've personally experienced. Regardless of the source of your health struggles, I will be praying for your full healing 🙏🏼. May God bless you and your family ❤.
I can personally attest to this. It is the standard treatment for sepsis so if you don't know to refuse them, you most likely will be treated with fluoriquinilone class of antibiotics.
Love all these people! All doing great works for the world and spreading Catholicism. This reminded me that the Fradds are fellow Ohioans and we are about to make a crucial vote in November on abortion. I ask all to please pray and fast for this bill to be struck down❤ #prolife #protecttheinnocent
Great reference! Context if anybody doesn't get it- St. Nicholas was a bishop who, according to legend, while at the Council of Nicea slapped Arius across the face for heresy.
Just finished it, and it was wonderful. Thank you for all the advice 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 And yes please! Do the homeschooling episode! I would love to know a bit more on different styles and activites for homeschooling, as I homeschool my younger sister and sometimes I feel a bit lost on what to do. God bless you all and thank you for everything that you do 🙏🏼
You can do this… my wife and I permanently pulled our kids from school in 2021 and started homeschooling after having them in school for 3 years. The transition was scary, but looking back, no one loves our kids more than us, and worrying about doing it was harder than actually doing it. You’ve got lots of time to figure it out, you can do this!
You can do this. You know what your kids need and their interests better than any so called "expert." You are the ULTIMATE expert. If a knucklehead like me can do it, anyone can.
I pulled 3 of my kids out of public school in 1996, and started homeschooling when I had just delivered my 6th child. Go for it! It’s the best thing you will ever do for your kids. You have plenty of time to decide what to use and how to do it, then life will happen and you’ll just do what you can. Stick to the 4 R’s, Reading wRiting, aRithmetic, and Religion in the early years, then tack on whatever you have time for. Trust that God will give you the grace that you need, as the church tells us, “Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children.” (CCC2223) I was sick for most of the 22 years I h omeschooled, it was difficult, but somehow we did it. God supplied what I couldn’t. As Dr. William Marra (may he rest in peace) once said at a homeschooling conference, (and Matt just stole😂), “If you just keep your kids home and play cards with them, your kids will be better off than they would be if they went to public school.” Now I think Matt’s idea of reading good books is better than just playing cards, but the point is the same. I wonder if Matt knows Dr. Marra said that? If I can answer any questions for you, I be glad to help.
I am so glad Cameron started “gabbing”. I LOVE being a mom, but I feel like society has lost an attitude that is helpful to moms and babies. Since being a mom I’ve never felt so dang lonely and unsupported even by friends at church! It’s so frustrating. I needed this today.
I was the same in the 90s mid 2000s. Look around you. Who has God put in your life that you're overlooking? Godly older women, old friends, new acquaintances? I now realize they were right there, they just don't look like barbie doll instagram friend groups.
Pro- life. Means all life thru all its stages. Catholics really drop the ball when it comes to supporting mother's. Especially single moms. All can agree single motherhood is not God's plan. But currently it's a reality in our society. Building prisons is a money making venture. Many corporations are investing in private for profit prisons. Just like with Plan parent hood. There is a quota to fill. These fatherless children need support. Catholic church often functions as a private club. Members only!
Just a few mins in and I already love this woman! I have the same complaints about Christian woman content, it always seems so fake and toxicly positive. I’m a real person, I get angry, frustrated, etc., and I don’t think we need to be ashamed or hide that when discussing best ways to live our lives.
Thank you for this interview, Lila❤. I think little bit, that there were too much interruptions to their speech from your side. Sorry, I don't like speech interruptions. But I like you❤
Thank you for this video. I loved the format Lila. A suggestion: your wonderful energy causes you to interrupt your guests. It was hard to listen to when I wanted to hear the answer to your question to them when again they had to stop. Blessings
Genuine question about homeschooling-how can you homeschool subjects like chemistry or physics? In my opinion, those are advanced topics that need a proper teacher. And how can the kids pass exams later? Aren’t they intellectually weaker than the kids who had the school education?
They are learning either from books f or from online courses by that point. You are right, they are too advanced for most people to properly teach those topics.
Homeschooled children statistically far outperform/out test public schooled children. Home educated children also receive schooling from live online classes and co-ops where they may be taught from other teachers for subjects that involve labs or classes that require other people like speech or drama. Basically, you are free as the parent to pick the best of any schooling platform that meets the needs of their child. You are not stuck at home at the kitchen table neither does the parent teach all or even most of the subjects. Let me know if you have specific questions. 😊
First off let's not pretend public school kids have a good grasp on physics and chemistry 😂 I'm pretty I had a better grasp on chemistry than one of my public school teachers. Second, homeschool parents have a responsibility to delegate subjects that they don't understand to tutors, science programs like at a local museum and online programs like khan academy.
@@JenniferoftheSea Thanks for explaining! That's what i was wondering about - the definition of homeschooling and what that entails. Online classes or hiring teachers for specific subjects makes lots of sense.
@@kailaleebabineau3962 Well, again, depends on your school and the country in which you study. In Latvia, where I'm from- physics, chemistry, and math is very high level. My physics teacher was definitely intelligent and loved physics more than anything and anyone :D . But yes, delegating subjects which are more advanced to tutors makes total sense!
Well, this has been really good for me. I had preconceived notions about this couple. In my mind they weren’t great. And they’re not my personality! However, their values and their thoughts and their hearts are all in the right place. I was impressed I must admit. Matt Fradd has always bothered me because he was addicted and he was a heavy drinker. He seems to still have that manner about him. But I think from this particular video, he really doesn’t. My family was destroyed by alcohol, and I find it very offensive that he calls his channel PINTS with Aquinas. The thought of pints just remind me of the booze and the disgusting behavior, and it turns me off. And then Cameron is very outspoken and not soft. But interestingly, she knows it. She has a great attitude, even though she’s not seemingly as organized as some people might think she should be with her homeschooling. And Matt came across on this as more humble, whereas on his channel, he comes across too prideful and arrogant for me. I could tell he was more self-conscious, and she was not at all! God led me to watch this, so thank you Lila! I was not going to watch this because of my negative opinion but then I decided I would try. It just goes to show that I should not follow through on my misconceptions which seemed real. So thank you. I actually learned to be more charitable and generous because I watched this. Thanks Lila really thank you very much. BTW I really thought that Cameron’s dress was really cute too. This video was really a learning experience for me. Do not judge do not judge, do not judge by appearances! I like that your show is diverse now, and it shows we’re all people and if we’re on your show, we all are pro-life and love the Lord. God bless you thank you!!❤😃
I don’t see Matt as a boozer or alcoholic. Jesus drank wine, and were allowed to drink as Catholics, just not get drunk. I think the title of his podcast just creates a kind of casual feeling, maybe a feeling of men getting together to share a pint with friends and share their lives. But, since they are sharing the pint with Aquinas, it has an intellectual feel, or just a feeling that they are going to talk about something more serious than just chit chat. I don’t know if that is exactly what Matt means by his title, but, as they say, you should never judge a book by its cover! I’m glad you came around🙏🏻
Is he openly a former alcoholic? Catholics have a stereotype of being the anti baptists....into their booze. Mix that with hipster love of bourbon and micro breweries, it's alcoholism waiting to happen.
Maybe if I had met or been around Matt or Cameron Fradd, I would have joined the Catholic Church...I just didn't have people like them showcasing Catholocism in my life. I just found many nominal Catholics (just like there are nominal Christians everywhere) and it didn't sit well with me. What a great couple, though! ❤
Yes, God will protect your children, but I recommend teaching them religion at home, if possible. It brings up many conversations that you might not otherwise have had with your children. Sadly, they aren’t doing a very good job at church these days. It will probably vary by state and diocese, but do check out the books they’re using and what they teach. jmho
@@Shayne_T Your kids need to be taught the truth and everything is not the truth. It’s not enough just to try to make them into “good people.” God places certain things that are right and wrong in our hearts, called the Natural Law. Without this we wouldn’t know wrong from right. The rest of our conscience needs to be properly formed so we can understand the reasons why they’re good and bad, and hopefully not commit sins. There are also Sacraments they need that give us grace, like First Communion, Confirmation, which they receive in First Grade and at 16, respectively. I’m Catholic and our kids are taught from Catechism from kindergarten onward. They learn about Jesus, God the Father, the Holy Spirit, the rules of the Church, the main Bible stories, how to Confess their sins, and what are sins. There is so much they should know and it takes awhile to learn, and we repeat things, just like in school, so they can remember it. Secular society has different ideas and many sinful behaviors that they condone. I taught my kids at home so the public school wouldn’t be their role model. They were allowing the children to swear at the teacher, to disrupt the class constantly, and overall just really bad behavior that the principal wouldn’t support the teacher’s on disciplining. They were also beginning to teach little ones about sex, which to me is highly inappropriate, so I took them out. They have all kept their Catholic faith, thank God. We feel it’s our duty to form their consciences well and hopefully they will have it and a good relationship with Jesus for life. Mine are already all grown and out of the house, so it seems to be sticking. The Bible says, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" Proverbs 22:6, and AI told me it the most looked up quote on parenting!
I’m in cali, and they only require that you register your home as a school each year. There is no cost involved. Beyond that, they require you keep a record of attendance and copies of your child’s work. But beyond that, it’s up to you what you do.
@@Jerome616 that's good to hear, except I hate to think that registering your home as a school would put it under the school zone act and cause an infringement on your gun rights.
@@danielgoodman3578 Well, there is a clause in the document that states that the state does not actually recognize your home as a licensed school (you cant start opening classes to the public) so there are no such restrictions regarding guns in the home.
I’m in CA, too, and had no trouble. For the most part we were registered with Kolbe Academy, so that was no problem. The last 2 years I filed an affidavit as a public school, and had no problems, either. If you join HSLDA, Home School Legal Defense Association, they will back you legally if the state causes you any trouble. That alone is worth the cost of membership, which is currently $135.00 or $14/mo. You can find them online, and they have a list of the rules for every state, regarding homeschooling. I noticed there are a few states that have gotten a bit more restrictive, but if you don’t like the rules, like having to teach what they want you to teach, them you can most likely bypass them by joining a correspondence homeschool, like Kolbe or Seton Homeschool. There are many of them these days.
They started with NET Ministries of Canada - aka - National Evangelization Teams - NET is a Catholic ministry that has two different types of teams. There are traveling teams that literally travel across Canada and conduct retreats in Schools and Churches, and there are Parish based teams that stay in one parish for a full year as the work to kickstart a parish based youth ministry in the communities they are stationed. NET was started in the USA, and both NET Canada and NET Australia were started out of that, and then NET Canada helped bring NET ministries to Ireland (Which Matt and Cameron were a part of). I was fortunate to be able to be a member of a traveling team in 2005-2006, it was an extremely intensive and rewarding year. Training was about 6 weeks during August/September in Ottawa Canada, and the ministry year occurs over a 10 month period from September-June. Our team travelled approximately 40,000Kms, conducted around 120 retreats for approximately 20,000 people, and we stayed in about 80-100 different host homes (families homes, church halls, rectories, convents, monasteries, and schools). *I’m not a Matt and Cameron stalker (if they happen to be reading this comment;) 😂 I just served as a ‘NETTER’ a few years after them and a lot of people I was on NET with know them very well as well as the Catholic communities I’m associated with in Canada… it’s a small Catholic world once one commits themselves to truly loving and serving Jesus in the Catholic Church in a country like Canada!
Oh thank you so much! I’d love to someday do something like that but for now I do have a young 4 month old with me but do you know of any where I can bring my child along?
@@LuciaDanielaS oh - well that definitely changes things for you quite a lot. Personally, I think I would try to focus on raising my child above all, and work to build community within your local community first. Perhaps there are some missionary orders that do mission work with the poor etc. expose your child to monastic communities etc as they grow up in the faith, perhaps the religious orders have broader networks that can both help you live your faith while reaching out to others, but right now, your primary ‘mission field’ is your own family.

Yes and no. Many of the Homeschoolers I know are dirt poor, and have everything they NEED. They just choose to live VERY differently than the average American THINKS they must live. Ie. Like 1 cell phone between spouses, they drive VERY old cars, they don't travel for vacations, kids share bedrooms, they thrift, etc. They also have some of the happiest, smartest, most creative and resilient children I know. All that to say, I think people might be surprised by how little some people live on in order to homeschool and often, have a large family. It also isn't for everyone and is not something everyone can or should do.
We didn't have a "good" income until our children were almost finished with high school. We were frugal and we homeschooled on a shoestring, taking advantage of all the free stuff we could find. It can be done if you're determined.
Umph, diamond in the rough you are. Quite the character you are painting with all the bitter comments on this channel. Asking how you can get to know your Lord and Savior would be a more fulfilling use of your brain power. You may yet be given your own wonderful spouse if you would take the time to practice the virtues that would make you a good servant leader. I pray you reach out to the Lord, He’s waiting for you.
@@vardaainur-michaelmas5462 You talked about God. I don't know if there is a God out there, but if there is stg such as a "sin", I beleive it would be something related to frustrating the way God created us to be. We have the rationality, therefore we should use our rationality. Most things that is said in this channel about the dynamics between men and women are not rational. You ignore how the world works, and you ignore the human nature as well. Let me give you an example of how sinnerfull is the way you think: Lila Rose celebrated the fact that Logan Paul got engaged to Nina Agdal. She said "congratulations". But Nina Agdal apparently has a highly promiscuous past, which indicates that Logan Paul is doing a terrible choice to his life. I would never celebrate someone's else bad choices. That's why I consider your ideology and religion so harmfull.
@@elkq0 I commented my original comment because it is how their situation came over to me, given the experience that I have. Off course, I don't consider your religion a good way to understand the reality, but instead, your religion is a way to protect you from the real world. The fact that you are christian doesn't bother me, I don't want to fix this world, I don't want to "save" you from your delusion. Even because, most people don't want to be saved, they just want to confirm their own believes and that's fine to me.

Why are we so Taylor Swift?
Awesome podcast and life changing and it will make a ripple effect for others through me thank you! Being a beginner catholic I’m learning a lot from you guys so thank you!
I love The Fradds!!! ♥️✨👏🏼 Thanks Lilia for having them!
The woman accepting is not only accepting this fealty but also the life of service to this man.
love the way you described this!!!!
I love them together. This interview made me cry
The way Matt looks at Cameron talk ❤️
Is Matt praying the Jesus prayer the whole time .😂 what a beast ! 📿
We had the same NICU baby. It was rough to say the least. We are so happy the baby survived and is with us today. God Bless!
Thank you for this episode. A podcast with Cameron on homeschooling would be very helpful!
Love these two, absolutely a great interview!! 👏🏻🙏🏻
Lila, how about you do a dating show but with style, class and godly people (opposite of Whatever). It would be a hit!
I don't think that work in my opinion, and I mean this only as my opinion, I don't think godly people would treat preparation/discerning marriage as something of a show. But that's just my opinion.
It definitely should become a thing to show to everyone. There is nothing to be ashamed of, we should recapture the culture with modern ways.
Whatever is only successful because it's trashy and controversial. No one cares about normal people talking about normal dates.
😂@forever podcast….?! Great idea!
yesss
The best episode I have watched so far, I love Cameron and Matt ❤
It’s funny, because I feel the opposite way. The way they weren’t attracted to each other… it’s just not my thing. I don’t see the chemistry here. Like brother and sister.
Loved that interview! Such great advice from the Fradds and Lila!
extremely encouraging section on homeschooling
This was wonderful! Thank you, Lila!❤️
Love all these people! All doing great works for the world and spreading Catholicism. This reminded me that the Fradds are fellow Ohioans and we are about to make a crucial vote in November on abortion. I ask all to please pray and fast for this bill to be struck down❤ #prolife #protecttheinnocent
"Get scars not tattoos"
New RUclips channel "Fights with Nicholas"
Great reference! Context if anybody doesn't get it- St. Nicholas was a bishop who, according to legend, while at the Council of Nicea slapped Arius across the face for heresy.
Imagine having an amazing catholic marriage, and being invited to Lila's show 😌🥰
Just finished it, and it was wonderful. Thank you for all the advice 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
And yes please! Do the homeschooling episode! I would love to know a bit more on different styles and activites for homeschooling, as I homeschool my younger sister and sometimes I feel a bit lost on what to do.
God bless you all and thank you for everything that you do 🙏🏼
I would love to hear more about homeschooling from Cameron. I have a 2 year old and 10 month old.
same, i have so many questions!!!
I’m a father currently homeschooling my 6 year old and 4 year old. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer them.
Trust that God will give you the grace that you need, as the church tells us, “Parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children.” (CCC2223) I was sick for most of the 22 years I h
omeschooled, it was difficult, but somehow we did it.
That trigger warning for banter lol
God is first! Father is the head of the home and a mama is the heart of the home! May God bless this beautiful couple and their family!🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻
this was hilarious! Loved listening to the relationship and home school advice
Love their podcasts!!! ❤❤❤
So excited for this!
I sort of wish this was a 3hr long form 😂😂😂
Praying a chotki throughout the interview is an incredible flex
Great episode!
Love the Fradds! Matt is amazing :)
I suggest Mike and Alicia Hernon from Messy Family Podcast!

50:00 key to life. Seriously . 58:00 Parenting and Homeschooling
Just a few mins in and I already love this woman! I have the same complaints about Christian woman content, it always seems so fake and toxicly positive. I’m a real person, I get angry, frustrated, etc., and I don’t think we need to be ashamed or hide that when discussing best ways to live our lives.
This was so lovely 😊
Omg the bleeping 🤣🤣🤣
Banter done right 😂
Lila that answer at 35:57! 🔥
I love it when kids are hard-corier than the parents! My boys are always (respectfully) correcting me.
Thank you for this interview, Lila❤. I think little bit, that there were too much interruptions to their speech from your side. Sorry, I don't like speech interruptions. But I like you❤
LOL “What’s up ******”
I love you SO MUCH, you make me SO happy 😁
Another banger from Lila.
Love Matt and Cameron😊
Wao for this part, so true. Powerful words, specially in this increasingly secular society 50:35
Thank you for this video. I loved the format Lila. A suggestion: your wonderful energy causes you to interrupt your guests. It was hard to listen to when I wanted to hear the answer to your question to them when again they had to stop. Blessings
I’m watching 3 mos later and I didn’t see it.
She is literally describing unschooling. Unschooling = child led learning
Request.....Keith and Stelle Nester next interview pls....
100% ❤
I like that your show is diverse now, and it shows we’re all people and if we’re on your show,
we all are pro-life and love the Lord.
God bless you thank you!!❤😃
May our Lord bless your humble heart❤
Wow. Great interview.
But for the parents like me who cannot homeschool, you are still a good parent. God will protect your children. Trust God.
Yes, God will protect your children, but I recommend teaching them religion at home, if possible. It brings up many conversations that you might not otherwise have had with your children. Sadly, they aren’t doing a very good job at church these days. It will probably vary by state and diocese, but do check out the books they’re using and what they teach. jmho
@@suew4609teaching religion? Why do children need religion to be good people who understand things?
This is awesome! Any recommendations on how to start a Podcast on a low budget?
Question for all of you: how do the states you each live in regulate/interfere with your homeschooling?
@@Jerome616 interesting.
Cameron you look Beautiful!!
I hope you found a copy of Matt’s love songs for Cammie!
Through what network did they do Catholic Missionary Work?

As you've had a podcast on the Sacrament of Marriage with this Amazing couple please invite the Sisters of life next.. especially Sister Bethany Madonna to talk about the religious life
Great!
God bless 😊 🙏
I give Matt credit that men are stronger emotionally in the sense that they are able to maintain composure. They maintain calm. Women are strong emotionally because they can endure tough trials and persevere in their duty and mission
2005 you could just pop on over and get a job State side?? We are Canadian trying SOOO hard to get to the States (AND my husband is in healthcare), it’s much much harder now to immigrate legally.

You do need a certain financial stability to home school. Unfortunately that’s the truth.
Yes, the only reason we can is thanks to a good single income.
Matt Fradd - "podcast host" 💀
2nd-hand embarrassment was strong this episode.

You talked about God.
Let me give you an example of how sinnerfull is the way you think:
Lila Rose celebrated the fact that Logan Paul got engaged to Nina Agdal. She said "congratulations". But Nina Agdal apparently has a highly promiscuous past, which indicates that Logan Paul is doing a terrible choice to his life. I would never celebrate someone's else bad choices. That's why I consider your ideology and religion so harmfull.
@@elkq0 what are you talking about?
@@elkq0 I commented my original comment because it is how their situation came over to me, given the experience that I have. Off course, I don't consider your religion a good way to understand the reality, but instead, your religion is a way to protect you from the real world. The fact that you are christian doesn't bother me, I don't want to fix this world, I don't want to "save" you from your delusion. Even because, most people don't want to be saved, they just want to confirm their own believes and that's fine to me.
