Got the PGs and used them for pickleball today...WOW, did they feel great...I cannot say one bad thing about them...they gripped great, they were super comfortable, very supportive and overall, I wouldn't know they were the first time I wore them out of the box.....even had the gym floor squeak on an asphalt type indoor court.....i didn't look at the bottoms to see if they wore down at all but after tomorrow's playing, I will check it out....i tried an orthotic in them at home but felt the original insole felt better so I went with them
Zach, forgive me for re-posting this here ( just saw this video and its more to point). ( i have edited this post slightly to ask does my heel pain/flat wide feet/plantar fasciitis concerns.) Love your videos! In a quandary over which one (or two) of a half dozen pickle shoes to get. Have severe heel pain after playing pickle (im 67) and im limping for weeks with a stretch brace on at night, frozen water bottles and stretching, things will eventually calm down alittle but will still be off and on painful till i play again and then we start all over. I have 2 versions of powersteps and 3-4 other similar brands in all my shoes (i love cowboy boots and i have them In all those as well). Ive been playing in hoka bondis, asics running shoes and hoka gaviotas all with powersteps. I have completely flat and very wide feet size 12 or 12.5 but wear 13 2E or 4E (3&3/4 wide, nearly 4 if widest spots both sides) if i can get wide shoes. Based on your reviews im leaning toward either Babolat jet mach 3, Asics gel resolution 9 or New Balance coco cg1 with the following also under consideration. Babolat SFX 3 All Court & Prince T22.5 Men's Tennis. All great shoes, but any suggestions or advice based on my foot issues or still Babolat jet mach 3?
Zach intense pickleball players blow through shoes in 1-2 months. What can you recommend that isnt going to put a hole in the bottom toe area or lose all its tread so fast? Also, any good shoes for when outdoor courts are a little damp? The mach 3s are like playing on ice in those conditions.
Thanks a lot for this informative video , which of the 5 outdoor shoes is better for ( flat foot - orthotics- outdoor volleyball and tennis or Padel) , I am planning to go for the Adidas barricade do you recommend any thing else Thanks
I recently re-watched your video on how to find the best fit for sneakers. I have a question about that: can improper posture affect your feet and could it lead to getting your fit wrong? I heard the analogy of your legs being like a pulley system; could bow-leggedness or other factors change how your feet plant on the ground?
I bought the Jet Mach III and started playing in them mid January. As of two weeks ago (late April) the tread started following apart in the balls of my feet. Thankfully the excellent customer service team at Tennis Point are taking care of me. All that to say...I loved these shoes until I didn't. I'm going to be switching to a different brand...still undecided (thus me watching the video).
Do you have outdoor (indoor asphalt hard court) pickleball shoe suggestions for people who need extra forefoot cushioning due to ball of foot pain….I have a plantar plate injury and getting custom podiatrist scanned orthotics but want a shoe that will be a good match.
Are the adidas barricades 2021 not the right fit for this sport? I've played in them for a while for tennis and pickleball but sometimes in pickleball I feel like I get glued in place or feels clunky at lower positions. They fit me well so im hesitant to change to something like the jet mach 3.
@@FootDoctorZach after drilling its definitely a mismatch that I thought felt good but when I want to get low or have quick feet it wasnt as nice as i thought. Also noticed I was finding myself in awkward spots from opening my position off volley reactions/resets in a rally but never moving my feet back to the line. I switched to Mizuno Enforce Tour though since I bottomed out my last barricades and the lock down, light weight, and quickness- I noticed my footwork was way better.
Have been playing in On Running shoes before switching to the Roger Pros, which I returned since I have narrow feet and did not do my research (read: horrible blisters everywhere). I realize the running shoes are probably not a good idea to play in, but I so miss the feeling of just being able to take off and reach full speed as quickly as possible that you need in pickle ball but not as much in tennis. Would a lightweight court shoe like the Nike Vapor Pro or Jet Mach III reach that level of light feel, or am I okay to play in the running shoes if I am young (early 20s) and flexible?
Hey doctor! Thanks for the video. Performance wise do you think the Nike zoom NXT are worth it? I was looking to buy them until I didn’t see them on the video.
In the market for new shoes. Received my Mach 3's yesterday. The toe box fits well, but the heel is uncomfortably very tight. Is that normal? At any rate, I'm looking for the most comfortable shoe that provides the most cushion or is otherwise the most helpful for someone with lower back pain (L5-S1 and SI joint). Would you specifically recommend any of these shoes for folks like me?
@@FootDoctorZach Thanks. Text in description gives FinishLine site for indoor shoes but nothing on Leaning jb-1 shoes as shown in transcript. Looked at all 45 pages of shoes on FinishLine site but nothing. They don’t list pickleball shoes so do you have another tip. Have searched all of Amazon and Ali Express since I could see on the label they were made in China.
Surprised to see the way of wades on here. Do you really loose out on anything by going with them over the Lotto Raptors or Diadora Torneos. I’m coming off a grade 2 stress reaction so impact resistance will be important.
@@FootDoctorZach pretty narrow foot. Have battled arch pain over the years. Just want a shoe that has good stability and is comfortable (definitely not looking for a minimalistic shoe). Recently have played in Rafa Cage 4s and Blueshield Torneo (very wide but still like the shoe, although it’s just tough with a narrow foot). What’s your recommendation with what you know? Really appreciate your advice.
So I’m a 14 in the sole match controls, according to the adidas size chart their 14 is a 12” foot heel to toe measurement WoW only goes up to 13 but on their size chart it says a 12” foot will fit. Do you have any insight?
Update: does not. I don’t want to go through the hassle of returning them so hopefully they break in. It’s not “uncomfortable” per say, it’s kinda more performance fit than I’m used to.
Why don't you have the list of the shoes in the description or put their names in a graphic as you present them. Very hard for me to know what you're saying
Some constructive feedback - talk more slowly so I can work out what shoe you are describing or list every shoe so I can see what the exact make a model was!
Thanks for the reviews, but these are some of the ugliest shoes I've ever see! And these shoes aren't on anyone else's list. That's to funny to me. Why is that?

Can you review the McGuffin signature shoe from Sketchers?
Love my Lotto Raptor 100 Speed's. Of course for asphalt courts. Stable and fast! Can play all day in these!
I use the Jordan One Take 4 for squash, great shoes!! Love the extended sole on the toe as I tend to drag my feet when I lunge often

Son of Flash or Fission 8 both work, providing some serious grip
@FootDoctorZach what is the most comfortable, shock absorbing pickleball shoe?
New balance Coco CG1. Best outdoor shoes Zach recommended
Really want to try these!
Great info! Do you have any videos about pickleball shoes for women?
Awesome reviews. The Babokat shoe looks amazing. Would it be ok for a wood gym floor? They cone in wide which I need.

Love your content. Have you considered getting a band saw to cut your shoes instead of struggling with an exacto?
Nope- people like the knife
Bought the SoleMatch Control but been getting some pretty bad toe jamming. Any tips on how to prevent that or do I just need a different shoe?

I destroy the jet mach 3s in two months
I here the Wilson Pro ace is good .
I would also rate the kswiss supremes up there for singles pickleball
Were on my last top 5 list
When will you do Nike Vapor 11 review?
Whary are your thoughts.on the Xero Court Shoe?

Hi Zack, (my English is bad). Could you recommend sneakers (for basketball) for those who have flat feet with hyperpronation?

My Babolat Mach 3 work great for indoor and outdoor courts...surprised that Lotto wasn't on board for outdoors too....
Hard to find again currently otherwise would be

Need to know if the new Wade Son of Flash are any good for pickleball. Would love to use that as an excuse to buy those hahaha
Fantastic review what about the Skechers Viper Court Pro?
I’m gonna do them soon

I have to test the new ones out to see but the court ff is a good pickle shoe

Hey doc, have you tried the Tyrol pb shoe? I havent but I see lots of players wearing them. Thank you as always for a great vid
Nope never tried them
Do the new balance two wxy v3
Should use indoor court shoe for indoor games. Like volleyball, squash, badminton shoe
Good Evening Doc!

You're the real MVP
Speaks the name WAY too quickly! Why not put up the name of the shoe on the screen as you are saying it??!
I can't believe Crocs didn't make the list. Perfect for pickleball
are you an advocate for barefoot shoes?
Not for all the time use- they have their uses but they arent the be all end all some claim
