Great video! I’m a tennis player just transferring into the game a few months ago. Pretty sure I improved more today after doing these drills up and down the walls of a racketball court than I did over the last 3 months! Keep the videos coming!
Danny Wuerffel...Go Gators!! Thanks for the memories at UF. I love these drills and will get started today. This should get me to that 4.5 level in time.
Love your wall drills. I've been going to the YMCA using a handball court and hitting against the wall. Your drills will provide a bit more challenge especially hitting the transition zone drill. Hope my skill level will improve being 75 and at 3.5 rating.
That's awesome fella's, thanks for this. I've set this up at my local outdoor courts and will use this a lot. Love the reset aspect of this, so important.
Wow. Just found your channel, and these wall drills alone are worth SO MUCH. I knew wall work could be useful, but just didn't realize the potential! Tyvm
Really glad I found your channel Shea - these are the best wall drills I've seen. I'll be able to hit a lot of balls in 15 minutes without wearing out my 60+ year old legs! I'll probably skip the spin move you made at the end! 😆👍👍
Good drills and I will try them! Why is there a semi-circle line from your kitchen line to opponents kitchen line around the net? I haven't seen that before.
I use a purple Franklin ball when hitting against a white wall. It helps you visually. A yellow ball gets lost in the white wall. I found that I can hit the ball twice a second against a wall, one minute gives you 120 hits, 20 minutes = 2400 reps = a really fast learning curve = 😊
Thanks for sharing! I am curious (I'm a newbie)...what is the purpose of the "double hitting" in a couple of the drills? Is that to gain ball control??
This is lit! I'm an instructor here in my city and will be sharing this with all of my students. I have them work on the wall, but this next level. Thanks for sharing!
Great stuff Shea and Danny! I have a wall at my workplace that I can do this. What is the distance from the wall? Also, is the line on the wall at 34 inches? Finally, what is the size of the boxes (they don't look like one full cinderblock length)?
Hey Wade! We were standing away from the wall about 7 feet where the kitchen would be. You can always move closer to shorten the time you have to react. The line on the wall is at 34 inches simulating a net. The size of the boxes doesn’t matter too much as they are just simple targets👍
@@sheaunderwood great video...how long roughly is the tape the targets sit on in this video...I'm thinking about 10 ft? We have a standard 20 ft. tape so thinking of creating 2 on the same line so 2 can practice.
Thank you for this! I don’t have the opportunity to get out and play too much rec but I have a wall that I have been practicing on and I’ll definitely be incorporating these into my routine. May seem like a silly question but do you recommend using an indoor or outdoor ball to hit against a wall?

This video changed my game! The drills (plus many hours at the wall) helped me finally figure out how to "absorb" or "catch" the ball. EXCELLENT! 👍👍😃

This is a great video to make wall drills fun and challenging.

Amazing video, thanks Shae!
this is great stuff without partner practice! thank you Shea and his buddy Danny!
Glad you enjoyed it! Maybe you can teach me something about VWAP 👀
No problem.
Excellent again! Thanks!
I played a wall once. It was relentless!
Saved this! Awesome drills! Thanks 😊
Very nice video and simple guidance. Thank you,
How high on wall do you make the squares, and how far away do you stand?
How high is the tape? Dimensions of the squares?
3 foot high. One foot square

Great video, thanks for the drill ideas!
Glad you enjoyed Kim 🙏
It was Glen Peterson who said he became a 5.0 hitting against the wall
Good stuff! Thanks!
Great dills thanks well appreciate 👍
Wish we had more walls at tennis courts here to mess around with haha.
Bro, wish we had some actual pickleball courts here Mr. Lucky Shots 🤣
What are the dimensions of the diagram on the wall?
This is awesome!
Thanks Greg!

The wall remains undisputed and undefeated at my gym
Dang I'm itching to try this but it's almost 10 pm haha
What grip strength do you use when resetting fro the transition? A scale 1-10 is it between 3-5 ?
Awesome video
Thanks Jarrett 🙏
I bet the video Danny is talking about, where the person went from 4.0 to 5.0, is by pickleball pro Glen Peterson.
What are the measurements of the taped box?
Doesn’t matter too much, start around 10 inch by 10 inch and work your way down
What are the dimensions as far as tape placement?
The horizontal line is the same as the net, 36 inches.
former Saints QB Danny Wuerfell
Shea, do you still think these are the best wall drills? Seen anything better since making this vid?
Hey there
Hey,
Great Video
👍👍
👊
what are the measurements for this sudo net and boxes?
