A lot of these repairs I can't do on my own. No shop. No ramp. Living in an apartment complex, no private garage, no electrical outlet, no storage for equipment or tools, but good knowledge in the videos for future reference or to bring up eith my mechanic. I like the mechanic in the video. She sort of speaks in layman's terms, so I understand what she is explaining. Very knowledgeable. 👍.
You're literally making excuses. I live in NYC in an apartment and keep simple tools to do all the work on my car myself while freezing my ass off on the sidewalk. You don't need a garage, electrical outlet, no private garage, etc. All you need is the determination to do the job.
Try to find a spot in your neighborhood you can do some work at and not bother anyone.. unless it is against the rules of the neighborhood and they enforce it.
You are SO awesome. I am a female who has to work on my own f150. You have opened my eyes to a lot of things. But you make it look so EASY!! it's still hard for me, but you definitely draw the picture of "how things work". Thank you
Great video. 1A Auto has helped me diagnose, order the correct part from them, and repair many issues with my vehicles. The real time video of the problem helps a lot.
I haven't been able to diagnose the problem with my Maxima for months after watching many many many videos. Finally, someone has answered my questions with clarity! Thank you ma'am
I really like this mechanic! She got into every problem I am working on this weekend! I bought 1A parts on Amazon and am excited for them to arrive. Thanks for all of the mazing videos!!!!!
I think she just solved an issue I've been experiencing at high speeds as well. Whether or not this is the case, the information was invaluable because I was out of ideas. Ironically I just happened on this video today. Thank you, Sue and team. Yall are exceptional.
I have 2 foresters like the one in the beginning of the video and have always had slight wobble at high speeds. I always saw the control arm bushings were dry but Mechanics told me not to worry about it. Great info👍
I love seeing these real world issues and how to fix them. So over those shows pitching $10000 tools that they only show being used on new cars. More rusty old vehicle repairs please!
Another outstanding video from you guys. I just redid the entire front suspension on my crown vic. All went well but the Pittman arm was a bear. Had to cut it and drive a chisel in it to get it off .

Thanks so much for your video!! Losing my mind trying to figure out what was causing the strange wum-wum-wum loud road sound in the front end of my 2001 Silverado ext cab 2WD. Was considering the wheel bearing assembly might be to blame. Still have to wiggle the wheel and test for that. Tires are showing a little cupping.. been making the sound for about a month or so now. Just this week it started that nasty creaking sound you so clearly demonstrate in your video. Got to jack the thing up tomorrow and do some investigating. Thanks for the wonderful information!!
For a Taurus/Explorer/Flex, its not easy to replace a lower control arm bushing, need a heavy duty press, easier to replace entire arm assembly. Another great video
Yeah I have a bad bushing on my passenger control arm need too change before this road trip from Florida to Ohio. Change many things the clunking noise won’t go away give my second thoughts bout driving that far
I had a control arm start to come apart from rust. I was surprised because the car was in really good shape with low mileage. Fortunately I found it before it found me. I got new parts from this channel. She’s been good since.

Those control arm bushings sound exactly like mine so pretty sure that's my issue, thanks so much my usual mechanic just said everything looked fine when I asked him about it
Good video. I had a rattle in my Volov V70 recently, and it was sway bar links. Done my control arms 3 times. Doing tie rod ends right now - I have sounds when I make left turns - left inner one is bad.
I saw some lateral movement in the lower ball joint also probably causing the "clunking" noise. In my experience these parts usually all go bad at the same time or one right after another. There's most likely the whole lower control arm including the lower ball joint that you can buy and replace at once fixing both problems. One more thing I might add is that once you hit 100000 miles or close to it they start failing.
15 Ford Fusion SE 2.5 L How can you tell if strut is bad ? I took severe hit on drivers side wheel and CV axle , lower control arm and the inner tie rod was damaged need replacing . The strut looks fine but some say the strut is likely shot and needs replacing . Took it to this shop yesterday and hopefully start working on it Monday . Some shops sell you on things you don't need
I just found my sway bar link broken on driver's side front but sounded like it was on passenger side. Should I up date bushings also? Seem a little loose but not bad. Only $20 each probably will.
Gosh sister! I wish I could have you go through my 2010 Ford Ranger. So far I've got 4 news tires, new sway bar links, new ball joints, new axle, new cv joint, new brakes, new rotors. It's feeling real tightened up and solid but what I've had 3 different mechanics looking for is an obvious clunk in the drivers side front wheel. Before all this work it was random, on flat highway and and 6 miles of dirt road I drive a couple times a week, and especially on hard turns both right and left, both in and out of 4wd. After all the work listed I did not hear it on 45 miles of highway home from the mechanic but after putting it in 4wd to get in my ¼ mile of snow and mud driveway the same damn noise is still there! This has drained me in every way imaginable. And still a clunking noise! I've yet to get it back out in the highway to see if i hear it there. I can't imagine all these mechanics in up to their elbows on all these projects haven't figured it out and fixed it yet ! Your vid was helpful.
Hi I had my control arms replaced and polythene bushes replaced one side is OK but other side is making a noise as I go over road humps can you suggest suggest what the issue is plz
I have a 2012 ford focus with front struts and sway bar links that are 1.5 years old and i just put in new lower control arms...I thought the new control arms would fix my slight vibration and inside tread cupping, but it has not..Then I have noticed that I here clunking which i think is from the strut mount. i do remember hitting a bad pot hole months ago and wondering if that destroyed the bearing..However, after jacking the car up and pulling on the wheel and forcing it up with a pry bar under the tire, everything seems tight and I can not reproduce the clunk. Only here it when hitting holes in the road. Any advice? Hate to do all the work to take the strut out and still not be able to tell if its bad.
You know what I find unbelievable? This is the 2nd EVER woman mechanic I have seen on RUclips and she's actually EXPLAINED what the component does and how it works! In real life, I only ever seen one. Amazing.
I've virtually replaced my whole front end including quick struts. I still have an occasional single popping sound when either turning but pretty much anytime the front suspension shift like when hitting brakes or when pulling up in a parking lot at an angle. I'm at a loss

Thank you for sharing your videos. May be you can help me diagnose my car problem. I have creaking or groaning noise issues on my Mazda CX-5 2014 automatic transmission. The groaning noise comes from the front when I hit the brake pedal to a stop and when I release the pedal every single time. I lubricated already the caliper slide pins and brake shims on the front brakes and cleaned the rotors as well using brake cleaner. I put the car on test drive but the groaning noise did not go away. Strangely this noise occurs when the car is on Drive or Reverse. But when I switch the gear to neutral before stopping and hit the brake for a slow gradual stop, the noise does not happen. I feel source of the noise is not from the brakes anymore. It only happens when either Drive or Reverse is engaged and pressing and releasing the brake pedal even when the car is not moving at all. I had a similar issue on my previous cars (Jaguar S-Type 2005 and Honda City 2010) but never had a chance to get it fixed because I sold them away. Would appreciate your insight and suggestions on this issue and which area of the car I should look into to get to the source of the groaning noise and to fix it. Thank you.

Same here sadly
