    Don't forget to check air pressure in the tires. Low pressure can cause a pull also. Have bought parts from 1A Auto in the past and got them quickly. Service is good!

    • @kelsycunningham8452
      @kelsycunningham8452 2 года назад +4

      I bought a used car that had newer tires that appeared good. It pulled like a jammed caliper at highway speeds. I found it by switching the tire to the opposite side and she pulled the other way. A shifted belt can mimic bad brakes and even groan like a half shaft..

    • @Fabricedrd
      @Fabricedrd 2 года назад +1

      Good one, Dale ! I once had my front passenger side tire low on pressure, causing the car to pull to right. Even turning the steering wheel was a bit harder.

    • @robertbaker3296
      @robertbaker3296 Год назад

      Generally low pressure inside the tire will cause a gentle pull.

    Great video. One thing I found to assist in finding a sticking brake caliper is a Inferred Temp. checker. Drive down the road for a while, jump out and shoot each rotor to check temps. All mine except for one were within 5 degrees of one another and close to 170 degrees. The one sticking was 310 degrees. Quick and easy diagnosis.

    When driving on the left side of the crown of the road,a vehicle may have a tendency to veer to the left, when on the right side of the road,it may have a tendency to veer to the right,when driving on the center lane,it should drive pretty much straight with no correction needed,if there is a pull ,it could be a alignment issue,when driving and a pull,not a veer,exists,it could be a suspension or brake issue or alignment

    Indeed very informative
    We novice mechanics sometimes find ourselves with little bits of knowledge that we don't fully understand and the start to yet another issue and at that point making a cash flow to someone else's pockets some of use would rather save a few bucks and know how to do a job and do it right the first time out oh yeah and good maintenance is key to keep some things from happening in the first place

    Thank you for sharing your videos. May be you can help me diagnose my car problem.
    I have creaking or groaning noise issues on my Mazda CX-5 2014 automatic transmission. The groaning noise comes from the front when I hit the brake pedal to a stop and when I release the pedal every single time. I lubricated already the caliper slide pins and brake shims on the front brakes and cleaned the rotors as well using brake cleaner. I put the car on test drive but the groaning noise did not go away. Strangely this noise occurs when the car is on Drive or Reverse. But when I switch the gear to neutral before stopping and hit the brake for a slow gradual stop, the noise does not happen. I feel source of the noise is not from the brakes anymore. It only happens when either Drive or Reverse is engaged and pressing and releasing the brake pedal even when the car is not moving at all. I had a similar issue on my previous cars (Jaguar S-Type 2005 and Honda City 2010) but never had a chance to get it fixed because I sold them away.
    Would appreciate your insight and suggestions on this issue and which area of the car I should look into to get to the source of the groaning noise and to fix it.
    Thank you.

    This is the problem ive had with my 2011 Ford Taurus since i bought it a few months ago. I did take it in to the dealership and they said nothing is wrong of course. The steering wheel now is crooked when driving straight, i swear it feels like the brakes are stuck on one wheel. The brake pedal feels weird too and there is vibration under seat. I had them check the brakes and suspension but I am gonna take it somewhere else right away. It was not the Ford dealership btw

    Hi, I have a problem with my Mini Cooper s r56 not start.
    The mini was on taking it out of the garage when it suddenly turned off. The first Scanner have these codes:
    2781
    2775
    2D52
    *2DCA*
    275F
    272F
    I changed 4 spark plugs, 4 coils, the Camshaft Position Sensor and a new battery. But it did not turn on, now it is giving these codes:
    005E31
    009314
    *00A0B4*
    00932D
    009CB5
    I deleted them and it only gives me this code: ( A0B4 )
    The mini starter good but not start.
    I try the new battery and it says it's ok, but when I test the battery with the terminals mounted on the Mini Cooper it says it's bad I don’t now why. I also reset the new battery in the mini system with the scanner but nothing.
    Honestly, this situation is driving me crazy since the mini is in the garage and I need to get it out to get a jeep behind it. If I take out the mini I won't be able to enter it again because the garage is elevated.
    What do you think?
