quick tip for future clamping, put them sideways because sometimes when they are down they could catch on something and rip the exhaust system off, ask me how I know. Both sound good though, great vid!
Easier way for water to get on them and rust out and break off as well
Cover the treads with anti-seize
How do you know that?
The first thing I'm going to say is that both of the Crown Vics are an excellent condition. Especially the second one. It was the last year of the Panther body platform production.. Definitely a collector's item. That being said the Thrust mufflers are mild. That and adding the factory resonators make them extremely quiet. I like the Flowmaster Outlaws though. Nice deep tone but the cats are killing some of the volume. Two needs to go.
I love the fact that this video is about Crown Vics and my favorite troll still has to take a swipe at my cammed 5.4 swapped Grand Marquis in the comments. 😄😄😄
Keep the Crown Vic videos coming!! They turn out different every time but always sound good.
Yes they do I love my 04 vic
@@tennesseenate7314 yeah my 08 treats me well. Just got a secondary cat delete, X pipe and two glasspack cherry bombs. Sounds awesome
@@weeAmos my secondary cats rattle every now and then I might delete them as well but my 04 vic has 62000 miles on it. It's a dark red burgundy color with tan leather seats
The Thrush sounds like it was a video game car.
The blue sounds amazing!!!!
Flowmaster Outlaws 👍
Flowmaster wins 💪💪💪
the Thrush “welded” is the best Thrush muffler on the market. They sound like an old school 44 series.
Pure ass... save the cap
Thrush turbos are pretty quiet. Cherry bomb turbos are a good bit louder
Tell him to remove those rear resonators. It will make a huge difference.
I suggest keeping the resonator’s. They knock down the droning at highway speeds.
@@americanrambler4972 I agree. My Grand Marquis has the rear cats deleted and the front cats replaced with high-flow cats with no rear resonators and it drones really bad.
I think its those mufflers they look like stocks
@@luisuribe5432 They are not The stock mufflers on the Crown Vics, Grand Marquis, and Town Cars are the briefcase style. Thrust mufflers are mild mufflers. Just a step over stock. They are best suited for cars that doesn't have catalytic converters or resonators. If you have any it will take away from the sound.
Thank you for your service sir !
Like the Flowmaster system the best 👌
Best exhaust in my opinion...cherry bombs after an X pipe and a must on the Vic's is the straight sections tail pipe must hang down so you can see only the bottom radius of the pipe under the rear bumper but it follows the slight angle of the bumper sides .
Im a chevy guy but have to admit those ford 4.6s sound great!
I removed all the factory stuff from the cats back on mine, put 2.5" straight pipe and custom made 2.5" over the axles to 3" tailpipes. Sounds insanely better, the wider diameter really wakes the sound up on these things. Will have make some videos this summer.
Now you have zero scavenging...
@@DZ4295DBW Actually have a second Vic now with full stock exhaust and my other one whoops its ass all day. There is noticeable difference when punching it
Take resonators off it would sound perfect for the veteran
Those thrush mufflers are far too quiet with the stock resonators on that car. He’s gotta delete those for a little better sound.
Love the Turbo’s but they would sound way better with a rear cat delete or high flows all around.
Gonna have to send a clip of my 07 in to you. Just dualed it out with a pair of Race Bullets
The black one is an LX Sport(pre-Marauder) Crown Vic. I have 2 of them. You gotta remove the secondary cats to really get the sound you want. On mines, I removed the secondaries, installed Magnaflow Magnapacks(#10416) & 3" rolled tips in place of the resonators. Really aggressive sound! I've been mistaken for a Marauder several times.
I can't believe they have 4 cats. Is that a California edition?
@@BrownBomber92181 Nah, that's standard for some reason. Most Ford V8s & V10s, except the Mustangs, have 4 cats. But, I deleted the secondaries on my '02 Sport & installed Stainless Works LT headers on my '04 Sport.
@@DeLonghe_P_Ness wow. My 04 Navigator i just sold only had 2 cats
Thrush turbos sound stock, the Flowmaster Outlaws are spot on
They both sound good but turbo mufflers are quiet. A good comparison would be the Thrush rattler to the Outlaws. Both sound good tho
Dynomax mini race bullets vrooooom
Thrush all the way almost 60 years old this was before all this fancy muffler's the sound is the best
Just love the professional welding job right through the label on the muffler. Nice job HACKS!
Those flowmaster stickers suck ass to remove, they peel off like onion layers and you'll never remove all of them, and do you really think some shitass paper is gonna mess up a weld job? Lmao.
@@AzalofForossafacts😂
Lindo esses Crow Victória, fico imaginando eu aqui em São Paulo com um desses 🇧🇷🙏
The last one wins from me because the first one is clean but very quiet at the same time, and the last one is perfect but clean at the same time
4.6 modular engines sound terrible with all four catalytic converter‘s in place. Always go with the leading at least two if you want them to start sounding good. If you want maximum volume delete all four of them however, the interior drone will eventually cause hearing loss.
I just bought a 11 light blue CV with the sport wheels...love it but definitely needs exhaust
The guy with the thrush it's cuz he didn't have the cats punched out, those thrush turbos sound amazing on those Crown vics but you got to have all the cats punched through.
I prefer the flowmaster
Everyime they back out im cringing Theres gonna be a crash. So close to busy street
I wonder how those turbo mufflers would sound if it was completely straight piped lol
That guy was let down by them turbos 😂😂😂
The black one is a 2002 LX Sport model, those are rare!
Just imagine only having glass packs for even better then turbo
Always make sure the clamps are faceing sideways or they catch on something and rip off
These cars are body on frame. The frame is lower than the stock exhaust piping. Unless you bang the frame on something, they're fine.
The blue one sounds way better I used to own a p71 State trooper edition
Damm sounds good the 2nd CV a Bastard got Damm good sound
Flowmaster outlaws take it hands down.....i like the other one too....But to many things restricting the flow....just my opinon.
personally i like the thrush better... i wouldn't want my vic to sound too much like a mustang... i want well mannered but with a bit more grunt when i put my foot in it
Aw the first one isn’t a p71. Police have aluminum driveshaft and oil cooler.. off topic lol but sounds great and in good condition!
Blue sounds great
Flowmaster all the way
Flowmaster sounds good 👍
Remove the rear cats and those resonators and you might hear something 🙄
definately the flowmasters!
Needs straight-pipes
Too bad you could not get rid of those converters. Both would have sounded awesome
Nice
Will be coming to you soon I have a 02 LX sport crown Victoria Marty tuned needs exhaust
Blue car sounds great ...what tips are those?
I replaced the factory mufflers on my 95 mustang gt with a 5.0 with eBay fauxmaster single chamber fake 10 series (actually pretty nice quality mufflers and I was kinda disappointed tho not a lot louder, it has a 2000rpm sweet spot that sounds nice but it seems to get quieter as rpms go up...! Has 4 cats should have just done a muffler delete thinking about ditching 2 of the 4 cats.
Doing this to my car. What are the exact parts I need including piping? (I’m deleting the rear cats). How’d you get that 2.5 inlet tip to fit on the stock 2 inch tailpipe? Thank you
Do y’all know what exact FLOWMASTER OUTLAWS MUFFLERS y’all used on the blue crown Vic ?
Blue one sounds better
Cuz why not? lol Most ridiculous phrase ever!
Ford and their many catalytic converters.... My mark viii sounded best with third cat gutted and Thrush Welded Mufflers. Thrushes Turbos are way to quiet.
They need to lose the back two 🐈 🐈. Too restrictive.
That thrush one wasn’t it too quiet
So on the blue car you bolted on some $10 AutoZone tips right over the existing pipe which looks so ghetto n***** rigged when you should have cut that piece off and welded a nice tip on... how s***** Mickey Mouse quality
2:34 I don’t think he wants a loud car
Thrush sounds less then stock
4in tips look cartoonish on that car
Don't be negative
@@billyrussell6921 how’s that negative. It’s an observation. 🤷🏽♂️. You gonna tell me they look fitting. To each is own.
I was gonna say because of the angle on the lift, but no, still too big on the ground.
Agreed
What is this a loud cab?
You doing a loud uber or something?
Future tip, blur license plates out
Why? What's the point?
Thrush sounded like ass 🤣
flowmaster for the win. remove the thrush mufflers.
Bro stop yelling
😂😂😂😂😂
Ty 🫡 for your service 🤫I’m going with the Flowmaster 😆👍🏾
Like
Just stop, with those Thrush mufflers. Their whole purpose is to produce no sound.
TRASH SMH , SOUNDS LIKE A V6, HE CLEARLY WAS DISAPPOINTED AS ANY INE WOULD BE
Those thrush mufflers are a joke. My stock P7B sounds louder than that 😂
Thrush was a waiste.
