This is my first time knowing bout the Dynomax. Im a fan now. Im taking my other shit off. Do we really need 4 cats?..
@@marcellusperry3878 some can get away with passing smog with only the front two, others cant...and some can do it without check engine light on and some cant...it's basically luck I guess.
@@marcellusperry3878 YES. Our cars are fitted with four (4) Catalytic Converters because that's what it takes to GET our air clean, and we DON'T take them off to make MORE NOISE -- we keep them on to KEEP our air clean in the future.
Unless you're stupid. Stupid people remove their Cats. They can't help it, because they're stupid.
Early "Pan-Type" Cats used by General Motors and Toyota were shaky about clogging, and would often cause a power loss. Not so with the "honeycomb" Cats as used on Panthers.
Ford has always used the "honeycomb" Cats, which (when new) can flow as much air as the straight pipe.
I have run the DYNOMAX mufflers on our '92 Vic -- excellent performance and sound, with NO DRONING at any speed. Expensive, but worth it.
Currently, the famous 95 MERC runs a Cat-Back system -- Walker H-Pipe; MagnaFlow # 18134 Glasspacks; Walker Tailpipes; Superior Tips.
A smooth, powerful rumble -- and NO DRONING !

With the H-pipe for me, sounds deeper. The straight pipes just sound obnoxious.
You might want to fix the leaking pinion seals on the rear ends next.

@@makeumybitch they're in Tennessee, rules are different down there. Here in NY, if it's a V8 or a Harley, it can be as loud as you want. If it's a 4 or 6 cyl, it better be stock or close to it.

Personally I like a aggressive sounding muffler, but I think that the straight pipe setup sounded the best... to me.....🤔
Dynomax for me, had more volume and that super smooth deep tone i love.

The cleanest looking setup was the dynomax with the x pipe.
I ended up going with 2 Dr. Gas 5 Trap mufflers and the Dr. Gas X pipe for my 02 Grand Marquis. Sounds slightly healthier then stock at cold start and idle, but at WOT the exhaust sounds similar to the Dynomax example here.
Should of put super 10s on one of them. They sound good with them on. An my favorite was the first one.
See I wanna see one with the 4 stock converters but with a x pipe flow master with Marauder tips
I would have deleted the secondary converters
I would have deleted all of them.
That’s what I did on my 07 Merc plus a muffler and resonator delete
My guess is they don’t want any trouble with the emission laws

Get the Dynomax... I just let him put mines on.
If the straight pipe guy took it off at the flanges, it would be the same loudness, but wouldn't have that blat-blat sound.
I got flowmaster 44 sounds great with duals
Alls the Panther body cars need is a manual swap to be legendary all the time!

I have a 2004 mercury grand marquis Ls and i want to get rid of the y pipe and put a stainless steel y pipe and i want to get rid of the muffler and put a walker muffler and i want to put new oxygen sensors and new catalytic converters so it can ride very nice. I don't like that stock shit that came with it so i want your honest opinion what should i do
All the way in Tennessee is a far drive. But for my Vic I might just make the trip.
Boss if you just get the parts you want to duplicate from the video pretty much any exhaust shop can get it set up for you

Cat back means changed from the cats back, so cats are still installed.
Is there room for a trailer hitch on a panther body car? The bottom of the trunk looks super low..
The Dynomax Race Bullets and a Summit X pipe is whats going on my Lincoln Town car, But I also want to add Stainless Works long tube Headers and no cats
better buy em soon cause theyre not longer producing the catless longtube headers. You got til they sell out

@@SKATETOSLAYER he decided to keep his car around, so I'm looking into making the BBK's fit by any means necessary, the stainless works are almost 2 grand...to keep em legal they only sell em with cats...I also decided to go with the stainless cherry bomb straight through 2.5" salutes, they should give a more subdued tone vs the bullets due to the can size.

Here is what I want... at light throttle I want the dynomax. At part throttle I want the flowmasters. And and WOT I want the cats gutted and straight pipes. Between these three if I had to settle for only one.. I'd go with the flowmasters.

I’d say Flow FX, simply because it sounds better at idle, but Dynomax is very, very close. Straight pipes are good but too raspy, which is why I’m not a fan of straight pipes on V8. I like them on V6s though.
