    The standard Starfleet bridge of the time also carried a small medical station, to treat all the sprained ankles caused by having triple steps without guard rails on a _dimly lit_ bridge.

      In my headcanon, the bridge we see in Picard S3 was just a temporary bridge module thrown in for Frontier Day since the primary bridge module from the F was so damaged after the “Monfet Gambit” (which apparently thrashed the F so hard it had to be decommissioned early rather than repaired... Must have been a hell of a battle!)

      There's a couple of websites that have detailed descriptions of what each class of ship will do especially the new ones.
      For this class they specifically say that this is a patrol and interdiction vessel among other uses.
      So yeah you got a background and tactics or something like that it would be the perfect command.

    I felt season 3 was incredible and it was an unexpected surprise, but the clip of Shelby being phasered at the hands of newly activated drones - I know it’s all fiction but the character of Commander/Admiral Shelby had SO much potential for further plot development. Though maybe they’ll work her back in and just say they shot one of the changelings on purpose and the real Shelby made it through in one piece. I can hope. Haha.

      While it was cool to see her, I did think it was rather ironic that her decisions in ship systems designs over the previous 10+ years allowed the Borg to assimilate the entire fleet. Twice. Even if she didn't die, she needed to be put out to pasture. Starfleet needs to do what the Colonial Fleet did in BSG at the beginning of the Cylon War. Remove the network interoperability. Having prefix codes to lower the shields on a commandeered ship is one thing. But having things networked to the point where a single entity can take over the entire fleet is something else entirely.

    • @ericb6309
      @ericb6309 Год назад +2

    It’s really just a kitbash, but makes a lot of sense. If the Sagan class are the latest and greatest, but the recent wars have made resources a little scarce, then the Echelons make a load of sense as Diet Sagans which only need a little bit of extra sauce (aka nacelles) to become full Sagans when you are able to afford that. Basically, you make a few Sagans, lots of Echelons, and then start adding the extra bits to the already existing frames so you eventually get the number of Sagans you really wanted.

Not even Star Trek online has that kind of fine-grain control. The inside of a player's station and the buildings themselves don't look the way they are portrayed here. You don't get to even build the ships shown (like the Enterprise-D) until you're about level 60 - more then 5 years or play time, even with a LOT of purchases!
    Do yourself a favor: just watch Star Trek videos and available episodes. The Star Trek in STFC is not Star Trek at all.

    I'm unsubbing. I'm tired of the long videos with way to much summary or rehash. Talk about the ships, no worries, but we don't need all the history. AND you do it just to do it! FILLER, to make your videos longer! THERE is no need for you to rehash all that is in this video to discuss these ships! This video could have been two minutes! The rest? USELESS or KNOWN information!
    I share with you not to insult you, or offend you. SO YOU KNOW! It's called, feedback!

      Important to remember this could be someone’s first entry into Star Trek, David. While you may know all the facts, congrats, others may not. These videos are typically chaptered as well, meaning you can skip ahead and find the useful info you seek ;)
