You know, it is so ridiculously helpful to have these videos compared to when I stopped karate in 2008. I’be nearly learned the entire 2nd Dan syllabus with these videos when I would only have learned a few kata max with just lessons
Fantastic video. I know this was uploaded years ago, but I'd love to see the application demonstrated along side the kata, like in a split window. Would really help explain what's going on at each step of the kata.
I love KARATE, been practicing Shotokan KARATE for the past 47 years and until now I regularly doing it teaching kids. I performed 27 Shotokan Kata ( Gankaku Sho ) included. Oso Sensei
Thank you Sensei I have found this and other commentaries very useful and will reference in future I found them very easy to follow understand and practice
I wouldnt say fudo dachi i would say sochin dachi because the position of the heels out abd toes in rather than the opposite That said it was an exalent slow video And you should do more ie Empi go ju shiho Basi sho kanku sho ect the slow motion is very helpful thank you
Sensei thanks for the uploads they have been very helpful for me in achieving rank and gaining more knowledge about Shotokan Karate. I have two questions for you. Do you know of any special ointments that protects the bone underneath the skin when punching the makiwara board? How often should one work towards developing the knuckles?
thank you sensei for uploading this video. This is perfect timing. I've recently started learning this kata, and this is a great help as all your videos are. Any plans for a Hangetsu video with comentary in the future?
Good you wrote "acccording to". Because there is no such thing as "no such thing in kata". Only the way, different people do it. So after copying your sensei, the world is open for YOUR kata. And for watching other peoples kata - never too judge, just to compare.
