The Astray is what Bandai wants out of all of their kits. Just tons of color changes and enough backpacks to even outnumber the Astray models themselves. In a way, kinda of surprised we have yet to see more Astray models in the Builder Universe, especially since it seems more adaptive than the GM.
Yeah I got to agree with you the versatility and capabilities of the astray series is a bit ridiculous with the customization that is available already and also including what people who build custom parts for theirs or modify with other already existing parts cuz I did that with my astray red frame model kit and I'm planning on getting one of each of the prototypes made as well my own custom version of them I've already got an idea what I'm going to do for the blue frame and the green frame the gold frame and the mirage frame are going to be interesting to figure out what to do with them
But considering for the same X-100 frame, they can make tons upon tons of variants and modifications much like IBOs Gundam frames, GMs on the other hand are parts modifications intensive.

I wish the test Pilots of the Astrays survived. In memory of Asagi Caldwell. Mayura Labatt, and Juri Wu Nien. The three minor characters we hated to see die.
Gotta admit, their deaths felt really cheap. Maybe 1 or 2, but not all 3. It felt like they needed to have some death on the heroes' side besides Mu (and look what they did with that, no matter how much I feel about him in Destiny on both sides), but it felt so like it was for the sake of killing someone off, which never works...
I guess there really was no precursor to the Murasame; no known prototype or test model that came before. ORB really did just make the most successful mass-produced transforming MS from scratch in one try. I’m guessing that one day, a boy with blue hair and a girl’s name was just sitting at a computer drawing up some design plans on his downtime just for the hell of it. Someone later saw the designs and called the boy a genius. I hear that boy is currently a vegetable after a freak accident involving a high-speed jet and a purple-haired pimp from Jupiter.
I actually came up with a G-Weapon predecessor for the Murasame that was a sixth Earth Alliance G-Weapon Prototype on Heliopolis. Basically an extension of the G-Project X300 Frame that totally improved the basic idea of a transformable mobile suit. I have both a sort-of canon explanation for where it was during the anime and an alternative operational history for a fanfiction story idea I have been playing around with over the past several months. The sort-of canon explanation is basically similar to that of the Green Frame and the fifth Astray Prototype in that it was never recovered by the Archangel on that fateful day. Mainly thanks to the transformation system of the prototype was still a bit iffy therefore remained behind in the main factory of the Morgenroete Facility on the Colony. When the colony was destroyed it remained floating in space with the rest of the colony debris till it was recovered by an Orb recovery team a year later well after the end of the war. Using the development data from the prototype they would end up developing the MVF-M11A Murasame First Production Type before it was refined into the MVF-M11C Murasame variant by the time of the Second Bloody Valentine War started. As for the fanfiction operational history of this prototype well I shall keep that close to my chest for now.
@@robertdrexel2043 personally, I believe that the Aegis Gundam was it's ancestor, they had to have gotten data on the transforming frame from somewhere, either that or data from the Regenerate.
@@tylercharles4587 Shrug. They have different transformable systems. Orb and Morgenroete could have used the X300 Series Frame as a basis and worked from that to develop the Murasame. I believe I mentioned that I had in mind a precurser G-Weapon for the Murasame which perfected the X300 Frame.

The Andrew Waltfeld Custom Murasame is a colour scheme that truly brings out the ferocity of what the suit was capable of. The colour scheme reminds me of fire and flames

When did mobile suits become civilian tools and toys instead of weapons of war? Which series brought it up first? What were the laws regulating them? ORB would be more true to its reputation rather be an overhyped letdown in universe. I really want an 08th ms team like show about cosmic era grunts. Suits like the astray, murasame, dagger, and especially the windam got the short end of the stick in the show when they’re mainly used to give the heroes something to blow up.
My favorite grunt ms in Seed! I am surprised you didn't go into the changes done to the original coloured Frames. I knew about three of them but don't remember the other two.
In Gundam SEED Freedom, the Murasame was upgraded to Murasame Kai which the wings were changed from forward-swept to the traditional back-swept setting. It was piloted by Mu la Flaga, COMPASS Archangel's MS squadron and Orb National Defense Force

You can actually see that most of the Gundams including mass produce ms in Seed series were slim and sexy. Looks like the one that designs them likes fashion models. He3x Hope Bandai, one day will produce these kits even in just HG scale. That Raysta model is a combo of Strike & Astray. Nice video though...

That Astray 0 looks like someone trying to beat me to the punch with the Mk. II Ultima of the best that unit could possibly be! And I think it's safe to say I now know how the Recon Gundam ought to look thanks to the Murasame! Also those custom designs have given me plenty of ideas on how the Barrage Gundam will look! Hey, pretty much all done! Jus need Prowl, Pursuit and ideas for designs and names for new units and I can start working on Part 2 of my novel!
I like that Civilian Astray. I was writing up an idea for a heavily modified mass production Zaku 1 being used well into Victory Gundam and F91 timeline. Civilian use mostly because of their ineffectual space combat and non-existent flying capabilities. But they made up for that in other ways. Similar design in the sense of being a Civi suit, but a 150mm machine gun is more than enough to shred an enemy mobile suit with not even half the armor that these Zakus have. So technically they are better than the Civi Astray.
The Murasame has to be one of my favorite suits. It has good balance of beam and ballistic weaponry and the special function of turning into a high speed fighter. While I do like the Re-ZEL more the Murasame is close 3rd to it.

In Gundam SEED Freedom, the Murasame was upgraded to Murasame Kai which the wings were changed from forward-swept to the traditional back-swept setting. It was piloted by Mu la Flaga, COMPASS Archangel's MS squadron and Orb National Defense Force

Yes, but those were variations of the prototypes and not the M1. The rabbit hole goes extremely deep once you look for all Astray variants lol.

You can actually see that most of the Gundams including mass produce ms in Seed series were slim and sexy. Looks like the one that designs them likes fashion models. He3x
Hope Bandai, one day will produce these kits even in just HG scale. That Raysta model is a combo of Strike & Astray.

That Astray 0 looks like someone trying to beat me to the punch with the Mk. II Ultima of the best that unit could possibly be! And I think it's safe to say I now know how the Recon Gundam ought to look thanks to the Murasame! Also those custom designs have given me plenty of ideas on how the Barrage Gundam will look! Hey, pretty much all done! Jus need Prowl, Pursuit and ideas for designs and names for new units and I can start working on Part 2 of my novel!

I love the Murasame, probably one of my favorite Grunt suits. wish they'd do a remake of the HG kit for the Seed Freedom line.
The MVF-M11C Murasame sort of reminds me of Robotech. It looks pretty compact and cool.
The Ootsukigata reminds me of another unit called the Zetaplus C1.

I like that Civilian Astray. I was writing up an idea for a heavily modified mass production Zaku 1 being used well into Victory Gundam and F91 timeline. Civilian use mostly because of their ineffectual space combat and non-existent flying capabilities. But they made up for that in other ways. Similar design in the sense of being a Civi suit, but a 150mm machine gun is more than enough to shred an enemy mobile suit with not even half the armor that these Zakus have. So technically they are better than the Civi Astray.
Could you do a video that explains what happened to the original 5 astrays following the collapse of heliopolis?
The Murasame has to be one of my favorite suits. It has good balance of beam and ballistic weaponry and the special function of turning into a high speed fighter. While I do like the Re-ZEL more the Murasame is close 3rd to it.
Astray's are always welcome to upgrade my gunpla collection.
