@@1024-p4t Well, when I was an undergraduate student, my grades were basically shitty, even though technically I was actually better than the average.
I've always been interested in other cultures so my "dream" was to go for the summer abroad exchange program in my university. Because a lot of students apply, they select based on grades. I applied to every single possible option and got rejected from all of them. I was devastated, mostly because I felt it was unfair, that selecting based on grades was a stupid criteria. Some of my friends who weren't even that interested and (only wanted to add it to their CVs) ended up going. I was so frustrated. I felt so helpless.
Because I was rejected, a supervisor of mine who believed in me, contacted a professor they know in another country and they ended up accepting me to do exchange in their university that summer, I even got sponsored by a company who payed me very very well. So, not only did I get a better option (payment wise) but also, the country I was accepted in was Japan, which, in comparison to the countries I applied to, was much much much more interesting to me.
Fast forward a couple of years, and I ended up doing my masters and living in Japan 'because' of that exchange chance. I lived some of the best years in my life in Japan, and I can't even describe how much it changed me as a person. All of that ... happened because I was rejected from what I thought I wanted the most. Little did I know, that rejection ended up literally changing my life.

I’ve been learning about absurdism in my school and I’m kinda vibing with it. Just accept that the world is indifferent, good and bad things happen to everyone randomly, and no one is guaranteed a good life. Accept this and then live anyway, trying to find to find happiness and daring the world to take it from you

    • @RisingPurpose9941
      @RisingPurpose9941 4 года назад

They only seem random because we aren’t prepared (we can’t be prepared for it anyways)or have too many expectations of our own.
But nothing is random. It’s all unfolding in perfect order. You don’t have to understand it, accepting it however will create the miracles.

I have failed at just about everything I've tried my hand at; athletics, arts, and academics...
I've known very lean years, where I lost weight and had a panic attack; I had no one to help me. I've been zeroed out at least 3 times in my life; losing my life savings and my job...
I've always lived within my means and over time have saved invested and have always been able to pay the rent, buy whatever I want to eat and replace vehicles as needed.
I have not made it into a knowledge based profession or achieved any of my previous goals...
I've been searching my entire adult life for some hidden talent/skill i can capitalize on; to create a "lifes work" a legacy...
I'd like to think I am content and happier that I think... I might be...

I could not hold myself from giving off tears... The very sad story of a man seeing the light shine in front of him, illuminating his path towards his dreams, stumbling across the path vaguely, but then to be tragically beaten and torn apart by life itself, is truly how reality is and thus the very sad truth that lies within it. To me I find it very hard, I hesitate to act, because I hate the feeling of being beaten down by life, for instance (true story in my life), finding a woman that looks amazing, with a remarkable personality, but then to know that attraction couldnt build up any higher than what it previously was at due to you finding this person online and knowing that the likelkyness of you meeting this person any time soon is immensely small, thus the interaction and attraction slowly dies out and both parties go their separate ways, it just stops me from trying to find another person, so I become sad and depressed because of it, and I never want to keep trying ever again...
But to hear a story, obviously, perhaps not real, of a man that by an harmless event, or so to be thought of, could change your life in such a dramatic way that you it completely kills your humanity and you end up becoming breathing dead flesh, but then to transcend into a new being, after a long period of time, is truly remarkable..
Hopefully my ignorant childish brain can understand and feel more greatful for life and what I have around me, and to work with it to it utmost potential, because I am remarkably lucky to have the opportunities I have, in comparison with someone that does not.
I thank you Pursuit of wonder for your dedication and work to help the people around you, the community and the world, we are grateful for your purpose that you have in your life.

Right. A lot of people don't want to try to rise because they know they're going to get knocked back down at some point and it makes the rise and fall rollercoaster seem futile. But resurrecting yourself after a fall is an experience like no other. So far I rose, fell, and rose again in my line of fortune only once. I'd rather not experience it again, but if I do fall a second time, I'd like to try to rise again a third time rather than stay down. I'm already preparing for rising after my second fall, because I know how easy they come. Hopefully it will make things easier. Sudden blindness would be one of the harder things to try to overcome.

And since he was already creative from the beginning, he just didn’t have the right outlet nor the time to express his creativity, naturally he would gravitate towards music as an outlet. Beautiful

The saying is that everything happens for a reason. Not so. It's the other way around. We give a reason to everything. Nearly all events in life are not planned for the simple reason that we can't predict what people will do. Everyone is at times lucky and other times unlucky. Successful people are able to turn a bad luck into an opportunity. This eventually puts them in favourable situations giving the impression that they are more lucky. In this video, the man became blind. At one point, he accepted this bad luck. This allowed him to move onto another skill and invested his energy in it. In the end, it worked out. But, for many people, it doesn't. We learn best from failures. So, parents shouldn't protect their children too much. And there's no point lecturing our teenagers about life. They haven't lived life yet, so they won't grasp what is told to them anyway.
