Game shows have always been so dystopian to me, rich people dangling money over the heads of poor people to get them to humiliate themselves and put on a show so they can make even more money
IMO its not the right way of seing this specific game show. They can afford to help poeple only because of the revenue they're getting from the show. If they just gave whatever money they had, they wouldn't be able to help as many poeple. So really it's a good thing that the show exist. Its the same busyness model as mister beast.

@@xpscape7506 that's true but they still would be needed to put in a pretty sizeable investment to start it. Just seems like there are better ways to raise money to help people
This is what I've been thinking lately. That distopian future series and movies portray that seem so far ahead. That is here right now. That is our current present. We are currently living a dystopian reality

This makes an excellent point. To survive we are often compelled to cooperate with and even show obeisance to cruel elitists with no more right to hold our fate in their hands than ourselves. What a reality.
be careful to judge. Throwing these labels „cruel elitists“. its so easy to judge and blame someone else. The game host is inviting people to the show for the entertainment industry. yet this very show will be watched not just the rich, but the common man, including the poor people themselves, just like the guy in the end who watched the show 16 months later. So if you dont like these types of shows getting rich why watch it? Critizie the people watching this shit. But then realize that its not your place to judge what people want to watch for their entertainment. So who is the bad guy here? Im telling you: No one is „bad“, no one here is „good“. Just selfish people, (the „elitists“ being more powerful, and the poor guy being powerless). NO need to make it about „the rich being the bad side“.
I generally dont comment, but this video left me speechless. It shows how at personal level, life is precious, but at humanity level that same life is just an ordinary like a bag of stars in sky.
Two years ago, at one of the lowest points in my life, this channel has been a source of hope and peace for me. I'm glad there's still some form of humanity amongst the chaos found in social media.
Hey y’all! Yesss anxiety and hopelessness run rampart in todays society! Just want to let y’all know that we were all made for hope and meaning, and that hope is found in Jesus. Jesus loves you so much and you are so valuable in his eyes, despite what anyone may have told you. He loves you so much that he died for you. We have sinned and done wrong things. No one is perfect. That separates us from a good and perfect and holy God. We deserve death and hell. BUT GOD loves us and wants to have actual relationship with us! He sent Jesus his son to come die on the cross for our sin. We deserved death. But Jesus took our place and died for us, even though he was perfect. Because he loves us. Because he loves YOU. He rose from the dead 3 days later, conquering sin and death. We can have eternal life and relationship with God if we turn and repent from our sin and trust in Jesus and his death and resurrection. Life with Jesus is the besttt. It’s what we were made for. Don’t just take my word for it. Read Romans 5-8 (in the Bible) for yourself! Jesus is wonderful and it’s so fun following him with our lives! Don’t wait :)
But when you try to generate some progress you get red hat people begging to be bent over and s….ed (spanked). These people will vote themselves to extinction.
Sounds just like the hunger games. Whilst most of the story is fictional, the most dystopian part of it is true. As an Australian who has access to free healthcare, the part that stood out as most dystopian to me is that if you can't afford life saving medical treatment in America, then tough luck, they just let you suffer and die.
Look at some statistics. The US has exactly the same heart disease death rate as Germany (even thouh Americans are way more obese and eat less healthy as well). Universal healthcare isn't saving everyone from treatable diseases. It's just making it more random who dies and who survives. But it's letting people suffer and die as well. If you require expensive treatment in a country with universal healthcare, you'll just be scheduled to get it after some months or years. The system isn't magically creating an unlimited number of hospitals, surgeons, and expensive medical equipment so that no one ever dies from treatable illnesses. It's like 100 people having only enough food that 50 of them can survive. They can vote who should survive, draw lots, base it on who's the most important (f.e. women, children, and healthy men), or on who has the highest income. But no matter how they decide it, they have to let 50 people suffer and die. Making it random by drawing lots isn't saving anyone. You may argue that it's the most fair system. But making people die at random while waiting for their turn to be treated in a universal healthcare system isn't saving more people.
Allot of heath professionals/medical careerist in America will pretend till they're blue in the face that they don't support this system but that's not true. One of the main things policy makers will agree upon is the false concept of better living through hard luck and low expectations because it's a business after all. If you fight hard enough for a treatment they will often let you know you weren't really worth the trouble but lucky you... ''Pat yourself on the back''
Even our free healthcare has been pared back to the bare essentials. If you’re over 16 and need an MRI that’ll be hundreds of dollars thanks, if you’re under 16 and need an MRI for anything other than your scaphoid (teeny tiny wrist bone) that’s hundreds as well thanks. And so many other diagnostic tests for so many other injuries and illnesses that I’m terrified it won’t be long before we’re just like the US and my kids or their kids etc will be forced to choose between a Dr for their kids or food on the table.
Wouldn't it be weird if we lived in the richest country in the history of the world and we didn't provide adequate medical care for citizens? Truly a disgusting dystopia.
No idea why do Americans think that the US is the "richest country ever etc etc" even though that couldn't be further from the truth. About 70% of the population controls 7% of the wealth, 60% of Americans have no savings whatsoever. Numbers are artificially bloated by a few tech companies, and market speculation. The country isn't rich, a select few Americans are. If you want a country that's actually rich for reference, take a look at Norway.
@@gsztjnrtgnhjti think that they meant people just display "empathy" to someone or say that they feel bad for someone because it makes them feel like a nice person who actually cares when in reality, they don't truly feel for the person, not as much as it makes them feel superior for caring anyways.
I think the term "empathy" is totally overused and exploited to the point where it no longer contains any meaning at all. Our "heartstrings" have been pulled and stretched to the limit in the name of attention currency that exists today. Perhaps I've adopted a darker view of it, but we've already sunk into a dystopia the day "reality tv" and "inspirational" video content touched our eyes and ears. We no longer truly feel for anyone's situation, nor do they feel for us. Our humanity has been damaged through exploiting our real human emotions.
James understood that everyone in that episode deserve the win. So losing and missing the chance to survival is not what breaks his heart the most, but rather realizing the reality that each individual fighting a battle of their own are being pitted against each other.
This is worse than the Running Man game show. A true 21st century horror. The worst thing is I can easily see a sick show like this actually happening...
It's already happening. As far as game shows go, this is pretty standard. The question is, how many of those players are in a similar situation as James? Probably many.
This sounds like a combined gameshow reality tv street performance thing... Reminds me of something Mr Beast would do, getting people to win money by doing X in the largest X before the other poor folk can He's doing it already... And his fans love him for it
@@SajuukThere isn't a show exactly like this, but much of what we see on reality tv is like much like this fictional show in their exploitation of people who show a lot of emotion on camera and people with sad stories. American Idol thrives on telling the hard luck stories of contestants, while shows like Hells Kitchen cast people who are disagreeable and petty and emotional and then push them together in stressful situations so the viewer can watch them almost like Romans watching gladiator games or captured people being eaten by lions.
The fact that the contestants each had a terrible back-story and health problems reminds of me of the sad stories told by the contestants on American Idol.
Who else thought this story was going to end with him watching his own episode on TV and then him seeing that he did in fact pick the right cup but the producers did some trickery and somehow moved the ball from cup 8 to cup 3 after the cups had stopped moving?
@@Good_Horsey This ending only sucked because of how realistic to life it was. Real life doesn't care about happy endings or big dramatic twist endings.
There is no reason the game show producers will risk a lawsuit by favouring one contestant over another. That is the point of the story. Even in fair play, there will always be losers. Nobody cares about the losers. They are on their way home after losing everything, including their esteem. This story follows the perspective of a loser, and that is why it sucks because it does not have an antagonist unlike other storylines, only a victim of a player who is dealt a lousy hand in life and encounters bad luck through and through after playing his best.
in a way this reminds me of the burger king employee that got 250k on go fund me after getting a lil $5 gift bag for never missing work for 27 years. it’s heartwarming but how many other people are posting into the void for assistance?
"The protagonist" Who is the protagonist? You? Speak for yourself. I don't feel like i'm losing. As long as you are still breathing, you can still choose to be free.
I was scrolling through comments thinking "so glad this doesn't yet happen in real life" when I saw people mentioning mr Beast... I didn't know who that was and my jaw dropped when I searched him and saw that he has several hundred million views for humiliating people.
I am from Ethiopia and I gotta say that there's something slightly similar (underline slightly) taking place here. So, there are shows that air weekly in afternoons and evenings (similar to late shows) that are mainly entertainment related. They feature news, comedy and songs performed by famous singers...and one additional thing. Near the end, there is always a segment dedicated to a video of someone on social media who's suffering from some medical trauma and can't afford treatment. Subtitled with the video, there's always the bank account number of the person in need. Then the host of the show will comment on how tragic this is and then, very politely, ask the audience to donate money to that bank number. Now, I am in now way saying that this is completely bad or anything like that... I said it's only slightly similar, after all. It's just that the number of videos that make it to the show is low (like 5 or so at any one time) and that's out of a pool of patients nationwide that can't afford treatment. ( The doctor to patient ratio in Ethiopia is like 1 doctor for every 10,000 patients... One of the worst in the world) There are some lotteries with better odds than that... What's more, I don't think they randomly select donation pleas from social media. They only present a select few videos that have already went viral on social media (like FB and YT, platforms that monetize viewership) and you can imagine how a viral video could increase their rating on TV (I'm not saying that's happening, just that it's a strong possibility). So....yeah, that sucks. And I don't think it's a long shot to say that there are a lot more places this could be happening...! Am I on point? or am I overreacting over something trivial? or worse, over something that's selfless and is actually helping a lot of people??? 🤷♂🤷♂🤷♂
Unfortunately it very well could be the bank account of somebody they know. So they're rigging it to extract more money from poor people, this is a very common occurrence in society. I do hope it's legit but I wouldn't take the chance as an average citizen. You're better off giving money to someone sick you know or somebody poor on the street than trusting that sort of thing
You're correct they only do what gets good reviews 👌 They stick to content showing the listener that they are human 😮 Although they don't give much thought to much beyond their next pleasure of or for themselves.

I think not having universal health care is way more cruel than this show which is just the product of the original problem. I'm from the EU, never had a major health scare, but I'm gladly paying that reasonably small fee to have all the avaliable medical care if I need it some day.
From Canada, and I feel the same. If I needed chemo or a heart valve operation, I would get the chemo or the operation. Might have to share a hospital room, but other than that I'll be taken care of mostly free of charge.
from Canada not only are you paying for yourself in the event you may need it one day, but you’re also paying for the thousands who do currently need it.
@@owenb6499 That's how it works in universal healthcare. The burden is shared across the entire tax paying population so that no one person is hit with a giant bill if they trip on the pavement and break their leg or require chemo due to cancer. It's a great thing, especially if you don't make a lot of money and a lot of people don't.
@@owenb6499- So. I would HAPPILY pay MORE taxes IF the rich and corporations ALSO paid THEIR SHARE ** AND ** more taxes - by closing loopholes and stopping them from hiding money offshore in tax havens - to get universal healthcare FOR ALL CITIZENS. That’s how it was before social media. I’m still paying off the debt I incurred in the mid2000s as a single mom who was too ill to work and missed so many medical appointments because my doctor was an hour away at the VA and I often couldn’t drive. For all peoples whining about unfairness, life has VASTLY improved in the IS just in the past 10 years!
Something similar actually happened to me, but I live in EU and we have universal medical healthcare. Having weak heart and having a heart failure completely changed my life for the worse, and brought financial problems, divorce, suicidal thoughts and shyt... even without being put through all the shyt this guy in your story had been through. In the the USA if you get sick you can be fired for missing just one day of work because it was an inconvenience for the company. Health care is insanely expensive and going up. Health insurance is too expensive and covers very little. Before a medical procedure you will submit financial and payment information. No money, no procedure. If you promise to pay and can't, they will come after whatever they can get. It gets worse all the time. It does not have to be this way.
It doesn't have to be this way because even though the federal government pays the most in Healthcare (military being second). It seems that greed and budget distribution plays a part in this mess. I can't say this as a fact but there was an argument spreading around twitter last year that if the United States was to gain a universal health system it would be something similar to Canada. The reason why it was put in a negative context was because canada recently went through an expansion with MAID (Medical Assistance In Dying) and this expansion was to include mental health. Meaning if you feel that the current treatments are not helping you then you can get euthanized. I don't think its that cut and dry but the large portion of people that would go under this are people with chronic illnesses or are poor. Belgium does have this system but you need to see a therapist first (I believe you need two of them) and they need to write something on your chart about it. There's a documentary on it called 24 and ready to die.
The USA the the worst country on earth and no one can convince me otherwise. So much wealth, privilege and power yet so much needless inhumanity and schadenfreude. Land of opportunity be damned, we're the exact opposite! A miserable dystopia.
It won't get better, as AI makes humans not profitable and obsolete, there will be even less incentive to care for people. Over 100 years ago horses were working everywhere, now they're nowhere to be seen because something better came along. It's the same for us.
Humans love the idea of a world where instead of having to go slave away at work 8-10 hours a day machines and robots would do all the work, well there will reach a point where who wants to go do some bullshit job your whole life when you could be a fuck off and just enjoy life like everyone else.
This is why I think these types of game shows are so predatory. They prey on the weak-bodied and rely on them and the tragedies that have befallen them to push their ratings. It’s quite sick. I don’t watch shows like that, partially bc it really hurts me out to see (i almost cried at this fake story) and bc its cruel imo. Our healthcare system sucks donkey dicc. We need a reform in the way health and health insurance is handled.
This got recommended to me today and it's so timely especially with Netflix's new Squid Game series. I know the video was alluding to Mr Beast but it also reminded me of what Netflix is doing. It's so sad, honestly I shed a tear watching this. We truly are living in a dystopia.
There is nothing left for us which can not be turned into entertainment and business...and you can see it has started actually, we are sharing every aspect of our life on social media which has viewership
There was a show in the Netherlands that sounds very similar to this experiment. It was controversial to say the least. It was called "The Great Donor Show"
That show wasn't real though. As in: there was a single episode, but it concluded with the hosts revealing it was all a big stunt to show how difficult it was to find an organ donor.
Another great video! Not to say these type of cases haven’t happened before but in the future these incidents have the potential to be more prevalent. It’s not so much the shows fault for existing but more so a reflection of the current state of society.
I've lived through this. I didn't realize, because, obviously no one has lived through this, until the check mark "strong emotions" part of the interview, but this has happened to me multiple times. We already live in a world where people in positions of power can, with a single decision that effects them basically not at all, make or break your life. In those moments, when you are making your case, if you can touch them emotionally they will sometimes drop all pretense of logic and indulge in helping you. I have also been in multiple situations like this where you deserve help, should by all reasonable expectations get help, but then you put forward the 'wrong' emotion and you are stonewalled. Humans.
Just like our world, one persons happiness maybe be another persons tragedy. Our world is multifaced, some are lucky to live in a fairly stable life with families and loved ones while some are living all alone, no family or anyone to rely on. Our world is a very unfair place.

I've been tuning into videos for years, and this RUclips channel has been a constant source. Yet, I've never stumbled upon a video that resonated with me on such a profound level. Undoubtedly, this is one of the most impactful videos I've ever come across.
This "dystopian" game shows are not new. They've existed since the invention of the television. You can search for old game shows (filmed in black and white) here on RUclips, where housewives compete with each other for money, which some plan to use for mundane things and others for medicine or medical equipment for their family members. I remember watching a video with such a premise a few months back, here on YT.
So essentially, all of us have and are still already living in a dystopian. Even if a rule or practice is unfair, the people at the top will always find a way to swing a carrot on the stick for the people below even though it’s already long been pre decided that only small portion people will ever reach that carrot, and then have to keep climbing for more under the same unfair rules. You have to play by the rules if you want to win. They play the poor and desperate on a rich people’s game and keep them below them. It’s far easier for the rich to keep doing this than to give the people who choose to fight these rules a chance for change.
The Queen for a Day game show in the 1950’s had a similar premise! 5 women chosen from a studio audience competed by presenting their hard-luck stories so as to persuade the audience that each was in the most dire straits. The audience selected the "queen" for each day by applause that was recorded on an applausemeter.
Would love it if all ads stayed in the beginning. Even if it was longer ad time. Or if there was a longer pause in the end. Sometimes, you just need to let the ending sit with silence.
During the depression, they had a contest to see who could dance the longest I think was the goal. They made a movie "They Shoot Horses Don't They" ,with Jane Fonda. It's a very tough movie to watch. Especially because it's true.
In order to increase profits every quarter, for-profit health care must either charge more or provide less. Usually both. The ruling class always needs updates to their yachts and mansions. "Greed is needier than need."
Don’t have a lot of time to comment, I’m in the parking lot at work, but this is why we need to unionize and look after one another. The government has already demonstrated their gross indifference to the majority of people and their problems. It’s time we put aside our differences and rose up against the tyranny. Theres a lot of truth in this. Look at the show "Alone," for example. Ten contestants are dropped off in the wilderness to see how long they can survive in super harsh conditions. They are confronted by bears, mountain lions, lack of food, and freezing temperatures. Why do they do it? Almost every cast member has a heart warming story. Last season one contestant had an Autistic child and his potential winnings were going to go to funding his child's education. Stunning.
Plot twist - In the equally dystopian sequel, a RUclipsr makes money by pointing out how dystopian James' story is. That way all the people that recognize how dystopian The Goliath Game is can watch something and feel good about themselves, while still contributing to the dystopia.
what kind of a world are we complicit in creating? how can we improve our future for ourselves and future generations? what a beautiful yet horrific world we live in.
This reminds me of that show that filmed a man that had to pay thousands of sweepstakes to pay for his freedom..just for him to play again. Absolutely horrifying
As a Canadian I am always shocked to hear Americans don’t have universal healthcare. It is a puzzling and absurd anomaly within the developed and advanced western democracies.
@JasonRodriguez-kq7jt That you would make this post in this place, in this context, shows that your soul is corrupt beyond any redemption. Pure evil in your heart. That's because America keeps the world safe. It's a very high cost. These services are basically provided free to other western nations. Without such globalization would not be possible.
While America may indeed keep certain parts of the world safe, it does so purely out of its own economic and trade interests. America has no friends, just interests.
@@Chip_DoubledipAmerica is not keeping the world safe, it's just keeping it under its control. The money needed to fund basic universal healthcare isn't much compared to the money destined to the military industrial complex.
This already happened and is happening. In the 1990s there was an American game show called Debt. People would compete in games with the winner getting their debts paid up to $10,000. Some were there due to wedding debts, student loans, credit card, and medical debts. A lot of modern game shows have contestants just say they want to "pay bills." But a lot of people try to get on game shows to pay their medical bills or a loved one. In the 2000's, I was in a similar situation as James. I have a heart birth defect. I had insurance but they specifically didn't cover preexisting conditions which birth defects are. My heart was failing. I was trying to earn enough money from investments to pay for it. Then 2008 happen and lost most everything. Luckily the ACA was passed, and I was finally able to get treatment before it was too late. Good for me but the ACA isn't enough for most people.
Wtf. How is something you're BORN WITH a "pre-existing condition?" That is meant to be something that was COVERED by another insurance carrier. I am 100% certain this is a completely fictional thing that ravenously greedy American capitalists made up to avoid covering.... whomever they wanted to.... whenever they decided it was too flipping expensive. Yep. I am 100% certain the phrase "pre-existing condition" doesn't exist in any other context - other than American capitalism. Which actually isn't, it's Neoliberalism on crack. Profit over people. Yay! Money is King! Grrrrrrrrrrr 😡😾 (Edited: for spelling)
Currency is the source of all Dystopia. Everyone should give goods and services freely, and receive them just as freely, but only if they have an official occupation. All completely regardless of what occupation one has on either side of the transaction. Voila, greed is slowly eliminated. Or at the very least there should be a maximum currency cap. Maybe start with the cap to help break the addiction then ease into elimination
Communist countries and communities have tried it dozens of times and it always failed. "Just have an occupation" - so why work overtime to produce more products and provide more services? Why do physically or mentally demanding jobs? Why study to become a doctor or an engineer? What about disabled or ill people who can't work? If they're excused from working, then what if people pretend or actually cause themselves to become disabled or ill in order to not work? With lack of currency and greed for material things, the only thing that's left for people to pursue is greed to lead a lazy life and not work, or work as little as possible. Which in turn destroys the economy and makes millions of people starve to death. It's not a theory. It's the reality of what happens every single time a communist system is being introduced.
So the game show is the insurance companies and the contestants are all of us? Incidentally, I just returned to the USA and have a condition that developed suddenly that may cost me my sex life. I have no insurance and even if I did, there's no guarantee they'd allow the procedure I require nor that it will work anyways. What I have learned is that doctors don't really care and nor does anyone else. The system is so accepted now, that there's no empathy just a flat report that, yeah, your sex life may be over... cost is $100,000 (plus) and let us know what you want to do... How do we think we can come in from the plains and stop living in tribes and then that we can develop societies, corner and hoard resources from some members and over-enrich others, and not provide basic and necessary medical coverage to every person in the country (world)? What a wonderful world it would be...

The reason the rich are not motivated to be altruistic is because our society is focused around personal gain instead of community gain. When the rich get bored they play with their resources. Isn't it fun to play with others, instead of by ourselves? So there you have it. It could be a reason why game shows are fun, reward for entertaining the camera. I'm that guy the government would watch because they don't like it when too many people are elevated at once and have a corporation to blame for their success and continued support of communities that benefit from that companies existence. It would be pretty good if I had the opportunity to create something that, feeds people, provided healthcare, jobs, recycling and revitalized the land, all at the same time it fed a system that continued to do so, but no one person was incharge. A distributed system of change that supported itself under a corporate flag, and get this, everyone would be welcome as long as they want to help 'all people'.

It's amazing this isn't super obvious to everyone already. We are living in the black mirror already.

💯 😵💫
be careful to judge.

Same exact thing here. I was constantly struggling internally 2 years ago and these allegorical stories would bring me so much peace.
Don’t wait :)
lmao this is literally the comment I made on this channel's video "The Absurd Mindset that Changes Everything" XD
Same... it's been so hard. But i have to believe there's something beyond this struggle I can't fathom yet.
A very deep message, but a very sad reality for the people in the world.
Sad reality only for the poor and middle class. For the rich, this is awesome.
But who will they tax when we're dead?
Not for the people who live in a country with universal healthcare.
But when you try to generate some progress you get red hat people begging to be bent over and s….ed (spanked). These people will vote themselves to extinction.
So when the world actually ends don’t complain like everyone else will.
''Pat yourself on the back''
That is the reality in the US....the wealthiest nation on Earth.
Squid Game-esque
The saddest thing about this story is that it's less fiction and more real then it should be.
Wouldn't it be weird if we lived in the richest country in the history of the world and we didn't provide adequate medical care for citizens? Truly a disgusting dystopia.
we have more access to healthcare than the entire history of our world.
Access does not mean affordability

No idea why do Americans think that the US is the "richest country ever etc etc" even though that couldn't be further from the truth. About 70% of the population controls 7% of the wealth, 60% of Americans have no savings whatsoever. Numbers are artificially bloated by a few tech companies, and market speculation.
The country isn't rich, a select few Americans are.

This video should be a launchpad for showing how generally people use 'empathy' to build up their own self esteem and how it rarely is true empathy.
Could you say a little more on this? It sounds interesting. What do you mean?

@@SajuukThere isn't a show exactly like this, but much of what we see on reality tv is like much like this fictional show in their exploitation of people who show a lot of emotion on camera and people with sad stories. American Idol thrives on telling the hard luck stories of contestants, while shows like Hells Kitchen cast people who are disagreeable and petty and emotional and then push them together in stressful situations so the viewer can watch them almost like Romans watching gladiator games or captured people being eaten by lions.
the challenges he referred to at the start of the video are eerily similar to Mr.Beasts...
That's the kind of ending I would expect from this channel, actually. This kinda sucked.
It wouldn’t surprise me, considering how corrupt most everything is, especially during current times. 🤨
That’s a very egocentric point of view, thinking there’s a plot against oneself

Never heard of it either.

@@nayaleezy taxes don't even pay for anything. 100% of all revenues collected in taxes are used to pay interest on debt. Anything the govt pays for, it does not use taxes to "fund" it. It just borrows money to pay for it.
@@nayaleezy lol not my taxes, I live in a country with UHC
You are an excellent story teller. Thank you for showing me how import life is and how important it is keep it going by making the right choices.
"you might even get a chance to see danny!" 😆😆
Theres a lot of truth in this. Look at the show "Alone," for example. Ten contestants are dropped off in the wilderness to see how long they can survive in super harsh conditions. They are confronted by bears, mountain lions, lack of food, and freezing temperatures. Why do they do it? Almost every cast member has a heart warming story. Last season one contestant had an Autistic child and his potential winnings were going to go to funding his child's education. Stunning.
Big Requiem for a Dream vibes.. hella creepy.. 😰 great content
"we have reviewed your submission, and we absolutely love your story"
Oh gosh..
Damn RIP James
F
He just took a nap. He is OK.
Right?
Plot twist - In the equally dystopian sequel, a RUclipsr makes money by pointing out how dystopian James' story is. That way all the people that recognize how dystopian The Goliath Game is can watch something and feel good about themselves, while still contributing to the dystopia.
what kind of a world are we complicit in creating? how can we improve our future for ourselves and future generations? what a beautiful yet horrific world we live in.
This reminds me of that show that filmed a man that had to pay thousands of sweepstakes to pay for his freedom..just for him to play again. Absolutely horrifying
This is just Mr. Beast
who the the hell is mr beast
Goliath sounds like that Squid Game show. Looks like we're there!
Don't you DARE claim to be a follower of Jesus of Nazareth ----- for you are a hypocrite, a blasphemer exploiting his name to cover up your own selfishness and cruelty. It is YOU who should ask for forgiveness, not us. But you would not deserve it.
That's because America keeps the world safe. It's a very high cost. These services are basically provided free to other western nations. Without such globalization would not be possible.
While America may indeed keep certain parts of the world safe, it does so purely out of its own economic and trade interests. America has no friends, just interests.
@@Chip_Doubledipthe world safe LMAOOO?? The Us is pretty much responsible for MANY MANY conflicts and wars.
@@Chip_DoubledipAmerica is not keeping the world safe, it's just keeping it under its control. The money needed to fund basic universal healthcare isn't much compared to the money destined to the military industrial complex.
Video headline: "We're living in a dystopia"
Me: "Yeah I know. I have YT premium and still had to listen to you plug the goddamn sponsor."
💯
Haha
Grrrrrrrrrrr 😡😾
(Edited: for spelling)
Profit and compassion are at opposite ends of the meaning of value!
When the wind blows, dust shatters the pessimism of the intellect and of the optimism of the will. An invisible life headed for a nameless grave. 🌝
I'd rather be put in a grave than read another comment this pretentious.

@@nancylee8061 Thank you, nancy, for mentioning, Romain Roland, as being the author of part of my quote. The quote actually is from two authors that I combined and felt that it was appropriate use after watching this upload, but I didn’t know either author. I just liked it put together. Please, do tell me, which part is by, Romain Roland.
I heard one part or both? mentioned by CNN’s, Jake Taper, during his reporting on the immigration situation during tfg’s tenure as president. I happen to like Jake. He’s very smart and I have great respect for smart people, because I feel that I’m not so smart (not stupid either though). Very truly, Les. 🌝
Btw, this upload is personally allegorical to my current health issues. 😕
This video is going to give executives and producers an idea. I wouldn’t be surprised if I see this game show on tv at some point.
It's just a low life thing we've witnessed here, very low life.
Me personally, I'd prefer to create something that makes lasting positive change in the world and people's lives.
Can t believe This was a youtube vedio . Great job to the animation team and people behind this channel.
