- A small review of my wood splitter I got on clearance from Canadian Tire. I watched a few videos on it and people were saying it was pretty good. I'm not saying it's bad but it's a champion wood splitter so yeah it's far from perfect. This is kinda like my 2 cents and I bring up a few things about it that I didn't hear in the other reviews.
The way that is configured with the motor and tank set back you could easily add a lifting table to make life easier. I did with my old box store splitter by cutting it loose from the trailer tongue it sat on and setting it on another I-beam to raise it up to waist level and make room for the table. A cylinder and valve is all that is necessary. She’s pretty slow I noticed, speed is flow and strength is pressure with hydraulics.
yeah it's pretty low for sure. tho i think it's all cut down to make it light enough to be able to pull it around. it's actually on a small ATV trailer i made that had a 3/4" plywood sheet on top of it. so yeah props it up a bit. but yeah i wouldn't want to have to do a few cords with that on the ground. on the ground, the top beams sits at about 10" so yea it would be pretty hard on the back.

i didn't even keep them. never seen anything so soft. you know how most people have a few spots for the odd bolt or w/e... those i put in the garbage. gave one to the guy at the heavy equipment shop and he said he never even seen a 4.8 grade metric bolt before. neither did i.
I suppose the moral of the story is, "you get what you pay for."
You are making these so called problems up in your own mind. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this machine. Mine has been working great !!!
yeah maybe i'm crazy, maybe ur dumb.. maybe you didn't actually watch it or pay attention and it's hard to make that stuff up. anyways, when those bolts get loose in a few years, get grade 10.9.. ur welcome.
