I hecking love druids! One of my favorites is playing a Gnome Animal Order Druid and starting with both an Animal Companion and Familiar (Gnome Animal Accomplice Feat) at level 1! Plus the Animal order gets the Heal Animal focus spell, which is amazing imo because you no longer need to feel guilty using a Heal spell on your animal companion when you could save an ally instead. Heal Animal only works for animals! =3 Also, Gnomes can take ancestry feats to be able to talk to all animals as early as level 5, something I feel Druids are sorely lacking in their class feats.
I think the druid being an elementalist clashes with the kineticist somewhat. I’d rather the druid be environment based rather than element based even if it was only reflavoring the existing feats. Though, to be fair one could easily combine elements to evoke an enviroment, fire and earth could represent a hot rocky desert, or fire and plant could be a volcanic jungle, earth and air could be a mountain druid, etc. so I guess in the end it’s not so bad ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well I do believe you are right I enjoy more the idea of characters reaching into their pockets and just stuffing a handful of berries in their mouth as a single action lol
Hey! It looks like you're using a blue yeti mic? Maybe? If so, talk into the logo, not the tip. And set it to the setting that looks like a heart (cardioid). Will make your mic sound much clearer! If I'm wrong feel free to ignore me being dumb, haha!
You can still only have one bonded companion animal at a time. No companion + Familiar combinations. The only exception so far is the Beastmaster Dedication which can have multiple companions.
Actually the limitation is only for Bonded Animals through the "Bonded Animal" feat and animal companions. The feat even mentions you can have a bonded animal and a familiar at the same time.
Switching from dnd 5e i miss wild shape as base druid feature. As in that system druid was my favorite. Howvwr there are so many cool alternitives to druid in pathfinder.
I kinda think you are overselling verdant metamorphosis. In my experience healing between combat isn't that much of an issue. People with the healing skil should be able to handle all the damage between fight with rest. It is a good way to deal with some longterm pesky conditions whiletaking a good night's rest.
I don't know if this is something you are seeing on your end, but there seems to be something odd going on with the comments section of your videos in what viewers see... at least for this video. The comments section for this video says "19 Comments" and a "sort by" icon but there are no other comments visible to read and sort. Your other videos that I've watched so far seem to have matching counts (main + replies = Comment total nest to "Sort By" option) but since I haven't watched that many I can't tell if the comments section issue is limited to this video alone, or if other comments sections of your video's are being affected. A few RUclipsrs mention that the algorithm is partially based on viewer interaction in the comments section in addition to subscriptions, so I figured I'd point out this weird "19-comments-but-no-comments" anomaly in case it's something that you may want to look into on your other videos to be sure it's not something affecting your channel performance.
Most of the time this is caused by a variety of factors like bot accounts advertising on channels (which are auto blocked) or people deleting their messages because the video addresses a complaint or some other reason. It takes time for the system to adjust the numbers because its designed kinda bad so it's really no big issue.
@@theebadluckgamer That's good to hear. Haven't posted any videos of my own so I've never seen what happens on the back-end of a posted video. Like I said, just wanted to point it out to you in case it was an indication of some sort of RUclips glitch that might be messing up your channel algorithm numbers.
Druids are SO boring. The only thing you can do is turn into giant dinosaurs and eat your enemies. And I guess if you have a brain you could cast spells as well but what kind of genius would it take to even think of that.
the only thing that bugs me about druids is the balancing decision to lock all the shapeshift-forms to different spells/feats. This does make being a shapeshifter it's own subclass with a specialized identity, sure, but to me coming from first edition feels more of a feat-tax because other druids get the same forms if they just pick the corresponding spells for the day. Aside from two feats a wild order druid is basicaly as good at transformation as any other druid, except they got refillable focus spell slots to transform, so they don't transform *better*, just more often and are more flexible regarding which form they pick for the situation. Additionally the level restriction on pest form means that you need to reach level 7 before you can access flying of any kind, which is the same level where everyone else gets access to flying-magic, which I think is kind of disapointing. I get it a low-level character that can fly anywhere by turning into a hummingbird can be gamebreaking but it's just weird to me. I mean they have already reduced access to flying a hell of a lot in 2e, from duration to level, it just is pretty hard to defy gravity in this edition but I would have liked if that was a niche a shapeshifter druid had more prestige in, but alas my druid can turn into a bear before he can be a pidgeon.
Really like your videos. I can actually feel how much you love what you're talking about. Keep the good work 😊

9:10 I'm fairly certain that you still need to be holding the berries in your hand to consume them, just like a potion.

@@theebadluckgamer That does sound like a fun interpretation! I might allow it as a GM ^^
I think Storm Druids can now also pick the Updraft focus spell in place of Tempest Surge. :)
Only if you use the elementalist class archetype but honestly I would probably allow the substitution standardly from a balance perspective.
@@theebadluckgamer Thanks, that's good to know! Wasn't aware of the elementalist restriction.
Good video! I like this format.

Why did RUclips think you said a swear word around 9:48?
You say no one got time for that, but i have no life so ha!

Exactly the kind of thinking we plan to destroy on this channel
