As someone who used to play all the time since I was young but has lost his love of the game the past decade (mainly due to being a straight but weak hitter, if we’re being honest), I just had to comment; this is the best casting solution video I’ve watched hands down. Unlike most vids on the subject, you actually explore the WHY and not just the WHAT and offer practical drills focused on that why. Brilliant. I cannot wait to take this to the range to try and undo decades of bad habits. Thank you from across The Pond 🙏🏼🇺🇸
I've been attempting, unsuccessfully, to get any resemblance of lag for years. I have to admit when I first watched this I thought it was more BS... then I tried it. Holly shit! This is EXACTLY what I've been missing. Within a day of working with this I can now get decent lag (still room for improvement) and for the first time ever I can properly "whip" through the ball. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Great video. Seeing from your perspective is so helpful ! I have a compound problem first I don’t hinge so I’m already set up for a cast which is exactly what I do !! I hit straight shots but generally weak. I hinge great in practice swing but my brain seizes when I actually try to hit ball.Very frustrating. Would be great to see a video that addresses this because I know I’m not the only person with this affliction!
Great video, this helped me figure out why I cast no matter what drill I do. Instantly started getting a little bit of forward shaft lean. Lots to work on, but now I have an idea.
So well done! Seen a few of them and this really nailed it for me. Not one video addressed the open club face arm roll problem that I didn't know I had. I'll bet the fat and thin shots for me are in the rearview mirror from now on.
Extremely helpful. Looking forward to persevering with the correct approach. Doing it wrongly (ie open face/casting) has given me the feeling that it is powerful, but this is not of course reflected in either my clubhead speed /distance-making me feel I have to swing arms/cast etc faster with more coordination-all pointless! I will check in due course, when I can, but in the meantime does the correct approach automatically create more speed/distance? Do you have a video which shows how the B/S is progressed upwards to the top from clubshaft parallel position please? Using more closed face method I feel/find myself stuck and then revert to more open/fanning face approach to swing up higher! (not good I know!)
Another video idea for you to consider bud. How to get bent right elbow with trail arm under lead arm at impact from the above view. Very occasionally I get it and it feels fantastic but struggle with that. You've got good arm structure like that at impact.
You say that if you’re throwing your angles it’s because your club face is open is not true in my case. My club face can be extremely shut and I’ll still flip at the bottom. Please help!
Having an open club face is only one reason to throw your angles and flip. There’s many reasons to why your body can stall out your rotation and throw your angles. My next video this week which will be perfect for you, is all about how to rotate efficiently/avoid stalling out. I’m also releasing a course all about the topic too in the not too distant future. Stay tuned haha 👍🏼
Honestly, now of these tips are gonna work if you don’t understand what it means to release the club properly. Learn how to do that first - that often eliminates open club face, steepening of the shaft in transition, flipping/casting, etc

My clubface is closed and I cast so now what?
What happens if I cast? I got used to casting and the ball is pretty straight and quite far. If I take away casting will it go further?

Another awesome idea bud! I’ve got a drill for this which will make a great future video! Stay tuned 🤙🏻
Crackin!
