I've watched a lot of videos on casting and this is the most thorough. Loved how you broke down the mechanics of why and multiple options for remedying those issues. Thank you!
Great drill at the end … I also noticed that you let the transition to the downswing during the drill help load the club and increase wrist angles… or creating lag naturally instead of forcing it … thanks for sharing…
This is the best explanation I’ve seen and believe me I’ve hunted for one. It works perfectly and a completely different feel to what I’m used to. My right elbow always straightened and I couldn’t figure out how to get it in the correct position. Finally now I can. Thanks so much. I did over 50 reps at home and then felt it on the course. Brilliant. 🎉
Eye openning, even though I already knew I was casting, you got the club paralel before thigh and impact at left thigh spot on, I had my swing side to side this video and it was exactly there. Let's practice now.
Good advice. Huge is strengthening the grip. On the mental side I would add that one needs to have a concept of squeezing the ball into the turf, similar to putting backspin on a cue ball in pool. If one has a mental concept of helping the ball into the air and/or hitting the back of the ball square, then physics will take over and "cast" the club. "Pinch" the ball into the turf. Play every shot as a low shot under a tree branch. Lifetime "casters" need a strong mental concept change, or they forever are stuck with casting.
True but sliding is also a problem that creates this. A weak grip might lead to a fade, all things being equal. Not disagreeing just pointing out what I see very frequently.
unreal how good this video is 10/10
By far the best explanation of casting I’m struggling so bad
Nicely broken down! I’ve been a lifelong ‘caster’. All of your videos have helped me unlearn a very bad habit. Thank you!

Outstanding lesson

Love this video. Thank you.
Thanks Ryan. You explained this swing very well.
Thanks Brian 👊🏼
Great drill! Is it ok to feel as if wrists are locked/stiff to prevent a flip?
As a drill yes, but not really functional once full speed is applied
I would say you need to find the root cause as to WHY you flip
Excellent!
Subscribition...thank you good information
