- James Santiago shows you some power options using Pedal Power Digital for Electro-Harmonix Superego and POG2 pedals. Also used are a Way Huge Echo Puss, and Strymon's blueSky reverb and Ola chorus.
There's something almost sacrilegious about using a telecaster for those sounds. Very cool tones and explanation of how you got there.
Great info. My Super Ego is on order. Can't wait.
Best thing is, you can make the whole thing dancey with choppy vibrato, love these sounds! I have a POG 2 and blend in a Neunaber Wet and low gain Green Russian fuzz, combined with a Line 6 MM4 and delay, you WILL be entertained for hours, days, weeks... You get the idea. Really want the SuperEgo, wondering if my 1Spot will power it. I read there are issues with voltage but I read the same about the POG 2 and the 1Spot works perfectly.
I use a one spot to power mine with no issues
Fantastic. Sounds like total Tony Banks overload! Awesome!
Cool tones.
Very happy I clicked on this vid
when he clicks on the OLA and puts the whole tone in stereo, WOW.
it sounds a lot like watcher in the sky!!
Instant one-man early Genesis! Sweet!
just what I was thinking!
4:56 sounds like holdsworth. very cool
I thought the same thing about part of his sound demo sounding like Genesis!
Awesome
I think I read that it's coming soon. I saw Premiere Guitar talk about it at Namm.
Hi I need to power the POG2 with a voodoo pedal power plus 2, do I need the doubler cable for 5&6 or will it work fine off of just one of those outputs?
so, what you are saying is that at least some of the electro-harmonix effects like the superego draw more power than most pedals? does that mean i should not put them on a powered pedalboard? i am not sure i understand what you are saying?
Sounds just like some of the organ sounds the Flaming Lips use.
I got this issue that if I try to retain a chord with the Superego loop and then pass it through the POG2, the POG2 tracks a clipping from the sample of the Superego and it makes it sound pretty bad. You can disguise it but it doesn't sound very good.
That's okay. A 9V battery isn't 9.0V and neither are the 9V outs on a Pedal Power. They're actually 9.3V and as seen on this vid, works perfectly with the Superego.
your voice sounds like bill murray
Hey man, how can I get one Suppa Pus Delay? Why it doesnt on the list in the Way huge effects?
I would have loved to hear how these pedals sound but the guitarist's playing induced me into a bad acid flashback
You wouldn't happen to be James Santiago Jr. from New Jersey are you?
The superego isn't 9v...i found out when plugging it into my "1spot", the superego comes with its own adapter that gives it 9.6v
My POG2 broke at a gig!!
I've heard Electro-Harmonix has real reliability issues.
Also, output was super low.
NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!
I love your work Mr Santiago but this is some seriously weird shit
It's a great demo but maybe a little to far from guitar?
