    Rise and shine, it's yoga time! Today I'm taking you through a simple yet effective morning yin yoga sequence to stretch your entire body. This is a soothing practice to get you ready for the day ahead. Please grab one block for this class or you can substitute with some folded blankets or pillows.
    Each pose will be held for about 2 minutes to open up your hips, hamstrings, back and shoulders. Enjoy and please let me know if you would like more short morning yin yoga classes.

    There are 3 principles of Yin Yoga.
    1. Find your edge
    2. Be still
    3. Hold the pose
    Find your edge means respecting your body's limits and not pushing too far and risking injury. Pull back a little bit and as you hold the pose you will be able to go deeper into it without pushing too far or hurting yourself.
    Being still means that once you are in the pose it is important to completely relax your muscles so the benefits can get into the connective tissues and joints. Try not to fidget or move or distract yourself, this is a meditative practice. Breathe deeply in and out through the nose.
    Holding the pose means that in Yin Yoga a pose can be held for 1-10 minutes depending on the pose performed and on the comfort level of the student.

This practice was perfect, due to the fact that it was gentle enough for me to complete , granted I Am in the latter stages of liver disease and it also helped me soothe my emotions, I get sad a lot .       @@dianapeh I have two blocks, a bolster, and a strap. The bolster was pricy (I got it as a gift) but it's elevated my practice so much! I would say blocks are the most versatile/useful though

    Mine was actually 2 words of letting go! Letting go of self defeating thoughts, feelings of unworthiness, sadness anger and most of all letting go of a terribly toxic person finally. Thank you was a beautiful way to start my morning!

    Did this in the afternoon to help me wind down and calm my nerves. I felt my nervous system just completely drop in and my word of intention was ‘grounded’. Feeling MUCH better. Love these shorter yin practices. Thank you 🙏🏽

    Hmmm such a yummy morning yin sequence. I love doing yin yoga in the morning when I feel sore or don't feel like moving around a lot. Today I did it outside in the sun and turned out my phone got overheated and just shut youtube down and I was like hmmmmm she stays in those pose for a long time... 😂 looking forward to a new morning yin yoga 💫💕

    With chronic backpain due to stress, these slow yin classes are really nice. Sometimes I have to slow them down even more. My daily intention is to be pain free. Tx for your great classes.

    Love your voice ; It is calm &soothing . For the past few days I have been experiencing panic attacks and heartburn due to stress. I don’t drink alcohol or overindulge. Since the pandemic life has been stagnant 🙏 I hope to gain my health once again , along with abs ❣️Thank you for your time and energy 🎬

    I woke up by the construction noise, which made me fall into both a bad mood and feeling about the day ahead, this practice is really soothing and makes me breath again; also I can just do this on my bed so I can still enjoy a bit of “bedtime”

    actually I prefer my yin at end of the day and found this one just perfect 🥰
    intention was "Relax tummy muscles ". this helped my parasympathetic go into totally relaxed mind and body. during thread of needle my tummy was happily rising and falling in total bliss.

    Kassandra - you have helped me start my mornings off right ever since COVID came into existence - and I’m so grateful! I was an elementary school teacher with chronic lower back pain (feeling too old for my age) 😉 You have changed that for me! I’m in the midst of quarantine for myself now and the first thing I asked my family for when I closed my door was my yoga mat. Thank you for helping bring peace and clarity to my mornings.

    Morning yin yoga is my absolute favorite way to start the day! My intention of the day is "be present" I'm doing law school online, and it's easy to not be there because you're at home, we can't really see you, it's easier not to be active in class.

    Hi Kassandra,
    I just wanted to say thank you for your channel! I particularly love the 15 and 20 minute flows and stretching for the mornings! Working from home but also having to go out to appointments in a very busy job, they are just the right length and are a great way to start the day!

    My intention for the day is acceptance! Today I will close on my first property and become a homeowner at 25. Ever since I was a teenager I've had constant angst around the decisions I'm making. I constantly criticized and refused to accept past decisions because I felt like they were going to set me back. This practice has helped me accept everything that I've done. I realize now that everything that happened helped me get to this point, even when I regretted it. Every day I am more at peace with my past.

    This is my favorite go to yoga practice because I love the props and the stretching. I’m not a fan of downward facing dog which I know is common in most yoga practices but I don’t love it so I’m glad that this practice don’t have it. So I’m looking for more practices without it, but keeping the props and stretching.

    the word is RELAX' for today! ......couldn't get myself to do a strong flow so planning on taking it easy today. thank you for this amazing practice🥺🧡
