Literally just finished building mine (the 412). Super solid rack with good ground clearance, bikes are really easy to load and unload and there’s no touching of bikes. I also purchased the internal lock system which is a smart idea. Impressed so far.
My friend has one of these racks and it truly is amazing! We took it up the road to the top of Wire/Grafton Mesa and that terrain really whips the bikes back and forth. There was never a worry about the rack though. Solid! The only downside to the rack is that once you have one, you are always obligated to be a shuttle driver :)
Awesome stuff. I'm in the market for a vertical rack, and somehow these guys are coming in with more features at a lower cost, even for your Canadian neighbors. Great work! The integrated lock is also a game changer imo along with the damped pivot.
Wondering if I should go for a 3 bike, wheel locking platform rack or a 3-4 bike velocirax...one of the bikes will be a 20in for the foreseeable future...other two 29ers.
We like the Velocirax, if that 20" is a kid bike, they're only going to grow and probably bring a friend, which means, over-biking your rack means you won't have to buy another one down the road!
I just ordered a 7 slot VelociRAX bike rack and I'm super excited to receive it. I met Bryce at my kid's high school mountain biking race and was very impressed with his dedication and support of the high school / jr. high cycling community. Thanks, Loam Wolf, for promoting VelociRAX and thanks Bryce & Blake for supporting an organization (NICA) that helps get kids on bikes.
Long before we started thrashing on these racks the fellas from Velocirax spent many hours on the desert off roading. We haven’t seen any rack that doesn’t move around when loaded or being bounced around. This one is definitely on the more solid side compared to many that we have tested.
If you cannot trust your front wheel supporting 40-50lbs (ebike) when bouncing over some rocks loaded on a car, would you trust jumping and landing on that same wheel after a dozen feet of linear and X feet of vertical drop with yourself on that bike? At higher speeds and many times the g forces?

Haha that does sound like it could be a downside! Gotta get a gas fund jar on the dashboard!
I have had the 7 bike rack for over a year now. It's the best rack I have ever used.
WE HAVE HAD THIS RACK SINCE IT FIRST HIT THE MARKET, LOVE IT!!!!!
GREAT BIKE RACK!! on the truck, camper, or in the garage! these guys knocked it out of the park! Thank you!
I worked with Blake Owen in his previous life as a desk engineer when I was fresh out of college. He’s a great guy and I’m so pumped for his success.

Right on thanks for sharing! Tell em the Loam Wolf sent ya. 😉
Great video! I love my velocirax! I had Bruce on the podcast, super nice guy!
👏 👏 👏 Great job guys!
Decent Bike Rack
Thx for the vid. Question, will the van doors open with the rack lowered? Thx
With the rack in "camp mode" both doors do still open. Just misses the rack by a hair.

Seeing the ebike's weight supported by the bottom part of the front wheel at 4:49 as the truck bounces...scary

It's not the rack that I was worried about :)

you can also whip a hair tie over the front brake and the bike will bounce a whole lot less
@@BryanKeller724 the rack comes with bands for this and tells you to use them with e bikes
It's way to flimsy for off-road...
How so? Just got one of these, It’s built sold and has plenty of clearance.
