That part of West Africa is where my family is from. Beautiful country. Also, the words are largely pronounced how they're spelled; most people from that region speak English or French, so the spelling of these tribal words have been latinized.

Court positions are super helpful. Like seneschal is like having your martial raising control but in every county. Huge buff. Court architect is also huge. Also better vassel managment would help raise their overall opinion.

I've been watching your channel since Victoria 3 released, and since then I've watched some of your older CK2 stuff. I'd really enjoy watching more of that, especially with how much more complete of a game it is in comparison with CK3. I do enjoy watching CK3 and Vicky 3 quite a bit, though, and would love to see more of those. I'd for sure be interested in Elder Kings if you felt like doing non-Earth stuff for a break. Personally, I don't really enjoy any of the EU4 stuff, but that has more to do with the interface looking like garbage than anything else.
Laith, if you need to kill your male heir to sort out sucession, one good way to do it is to force them to be knights in your army, this way they will get involved in battles and are more likely to die of natural causes, when I played in Ireland and found out it wasn't really a good idea to have 4 wifes making lots of kids, it was a good way to really trim them out, specially if they aren't that good with combat x), plus, even if they don't die, well, you got a lot more land to give around and satisfy anyone thanks to their contribution :)
I just played a game as mushasha with Europa expanded and I found myself in a situation that I think you might like... a disaster that always tiks up and gives you 10 discipline, 20 ccr and other good modifiers but also tiks down if you win battles, wars, convert or coquer provinces

I know when you said "viking raids" you probably meant the Sons of Ragnar or someone in Scandanvia, but what about creating a custom character based off of the Birka warrior instead? DNA testing was recently done proving she was a woman, and other artifacts suggest that spent time in conquest of or raiding in the East. It could be fun to conquer south along the Baltic, and eventually take on the Byzantines?

When trying to grant a territory Holy Order from the territory, it'll say you can't because it's leased out. But if you go to the individual you want to give it to and grant them titles you can pick the territory.
The Unite Africa decision should really give more benefits. It should give your empire title De Jure over all of Africa, Some custom modifiers, a bunch of prestige and splendor, etc.
All the unite giant swathes of land decisions should be better. They should also give better culture, ideas, and tech due to better perspective 👀 and economies of scale.
Tried to make a similar run Kanem Bornu in CK2, and it was very fun, but I had to give up because of the absurdly stupid flooding even which keeps destroying your stuff even if you have a developed capital -_-

You probably already know this, but just in case you can use single female courtiers to marry in more knights, or councilors. And for single male courtiers I usually try to just marry in a bunch of high intelligence people for Court Tutor/Physician positions instead of wasting prestige on inviting in these positions or much needed money. (Depending on what you're having to spend for troops/buildings)

The religion and culture down there can be pretty naff for most of the game, but if you can secure the goldmines in Mali you have infinite money. It's a fun region, IMO, but not always the most enjoyable one.

There are strict immigration control abd the vast majority of immigration is legal to get people working the worse jobs and the most educated to advance their own technology. When you look at pre pandemic Italy that had a job shortage in all manual labour fields abd simultaneously recorded record high unemployment it seems like maybe economically Europe needs more immigration or at least Europeans need to have more children and actually fill the jobs they claim people are "stealing"
sometimes I get annoyed that laith plays CK3 in a lackadaisical way. Since the whole reason I started watching his videos in the first place is because I enjoy the try-hard/min-maxing way he played EU4. Then I remember that CK3 is an incredibly straightforward game once you get a basic grasp. So any attempt at min-maxing would just make the game incredibly boring.

However, in the case of paradox games the reason I started watching was more so that I could become better at the game than for pure entertainment. The learning curve for all paradox games is rather steep in comparison to other grand strategy games. So for me to see a tryhard beat the game rather handily with tactics I’d never seen before become a new way to enjoy the game for me.

I've always disliked try-harding, it feels very undynamic. Role-playing in a game about characters feels like the only right way to do things.
